All Saddles and Saddle Dyes in Ghost of Yotei and how to get them.

How to get Saddles and Dyes

Saddles and Saddle Dyes are cosmetic items for your horse. They provide no combat advantages whatsoever.

With a couple of noted exceptions, all Saddles and Dyes for Atsu’s horse are sold by Konupas the Farrier at Husko Kotan (the main hub) in Nayoro Wilds. You can also encounter her in the open world.

She won’t sell dyes for the Hunter’s Saddle until you buy it from her.

Traveler’s Saddle

The Traveler’s Saddle is simple and practical, with tattered blankets and a basic equipment. It looks like Atsu probably made or assembled this herself.

Early Riser

Early Riser features a plain yellow blanket with ginkgo leaves printed on it, and undyed bags, all of which blend into the seat.

Early Riser is the default saddle that comes with the White Horse. It is later purchasable from Konupas the Farrier.

Lone Wanderer

Lone Wanderer combines blue and beige and adds a white diamond pattern with a navy dot in the middle.

Lone Wanderer is the default saddle you get at the start of the game.

Morning Dew

Morning Dew combines different shades of green with a gray seat.

Morning Dew is the only saddle you can find out in the world. It’s located by the stables at Kamikawa Trading Post in Teshio Ridge, across the river from Red Crane Inn.

Night in Shadows

Night in Shadows is mostly black with a red animal print on the blanket mirrored by red bag ties. It’s an aggressive look, but it matches most of the black and red dyes.

Night in Shadows is the default saddle that comes with the gray dappled horse. It is later purchasable from Konupas the Farrier.

Starless Night

Starless Night features a textured gray and purple blanket hat seem like they could be meant to look like chain mail. There are also small gold accents, like the kintsugi paint on the seat.

Starless Night comes with the Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei and matches the accompanying Noble Defiance dye for the Onryo Armor.

Words by the Fire

Words by the Fire has a detailed fire orange blanket with beige bags that match the seat.

Words by the Fire is the default saddle that comes with the black horse. It is later purchasable from Konupas the Farrier.

Hunter’s Saddle

The Hunter’s Saddle is more regal and ornate, adorned with gold fringe, detailed patterns, and more vibrant colors, likely made by an accomplished craftsman, or at least someone who has more time to make something like this than Atsu.

Autumn’s Eve

Autumn’s Eve combines black and gray that make the gold accents stand out.

Unlocked for purchase after completing “The Reckoning” in Oshima Coast.

Golden Road

Golden Road is beige and white, basically the inverse of Autumn’s Eve.

Knotted Heart

Knotted Heart combines red, more gold, and a dash of black for an intense look.

Unlocked for purchase after completing “The Reckoning” in Oshima Coast.

River’s Blessing

River’s Blessing combines bright blue and green with a touch of black for a vibrant look.

Rolling Hills

Rolling Hills layers an earthy yellow and gray-green with black and white reins. This is probably not what you’d want to use if you’re going for a black and white aesthetic.

Endonae

Endonae

Endonae is a passionate gamer who's particularly fond of challenging action RPGs and open world games with visceral combat. The closer it is to being a Soulslike, the better. Ranged casters, particularly of the energy or elemental variety, are his bread and butter. Lightsabers are pretty cool, too.
