How to start Secrets of the Heart
To start Secrets of the Heart, you’ll need to go to Teshio Ridge and to north of the Teshio River. Right above the “O” in “Teshio River” on the map is an arrow with a note on it. Pick it up to start the mission.
Find the Note Sender
If you look to the west of the arrow, you’ll see a building. This is Ran’s Workshop and Saito’s Outlaws are in the area. Kill them then go inside the large building and up the ladder.
Upstairs you’ll find Taizo, Ran’s Apprentice. After a cutscene, he’ll give you a charm but it won’t be in your inventory just yet. Pull out your hankyu and shoot the outlaws outside through the window.
You’ll notice that there’s no need to aim with this charm as it allows you to auto aim and rapid fire at targets. This is where the fun begins.
Escape the Workshop
Follow Taizo to the horses and escape on horseback, protecting him along the way. This charm is great for horseback archery as well, making it far easier now that aiming is no longer part of the equation.
Valid targets of this charm will have a white outline while this charm is equipped. Continue shooting all the outlaws until Taizo has been returned to safety with Ran.
After a short cutscene where Taizo and Ran are reunited, you’ll complete then mission and get the Charm of Raining Arrows.
This is an excellent major charm for horseback archery and shooting attackers in heavy combat scenarios due to its damage boose. A must-have for an archery build!
