Learn how to solve the puzzle at Bowsprit Cape in Crimson Desert. Completing this will take you to The Abyss where you can complete more challenges and solve more puzzles to earn Abyss Artifacts.
The Bowsprit Cape puzzle will be followed by a chain of Abyss Puzzles where you’ll earn Abyss Artifacts and at least one Abyss Gear. Here is the order in which you’ll be doing these puzzles:
- Bowsprit Cape (this one)
- Path of Serpents
- Crossroads of Uncertainty
Where to find Bowsprit Cape
Bowsprit Cape is the large peninsula southeast of Hernand and south of Demeniss. The puzzle you’re looking for will be found within the “A” in “Bowsprit Cave” in the map.
You’ll know you’re at the right location when you see the large Abyss Structure wedged in a fissure.

Recommended Skills for the Series of Puzzles
This is a chain of puzzles that lead to the Abyss. If you want to complete them, you will need the following skills unlocked:
- Force Palm Level 3
- Force Current
- Double Jump
- Axiom Force Level 2
- Flight Level 2
- Aerial Roll
The Puzzles are doable without those, but they may be much more difficult and time-consuming. By the time you come up to this chain of puzzles, you will likely have unlocked most of these anyway.

Loot Chests at the starting area
If you go below the Abyss Structure, you’ll find a cave and up a ledge to the left, you’ll find a large chest that contains a Palmar Pill and the Sior Blaster for Oongka.

Keep following the cave into an area with natural light. On the north wall is an opening that leads to the Abyss Structure, and just right of it is a small chest you can loot.

Power up the Abyss Structure
At the top of the structure is a hole that can lead you inside. You’ll find two power cells inside and a conduit slot. There are three power cell slots to fill inside.
The third cell is found hovering near the hole leading into the structure. The conduit can be easy to miss as it’s floating high above the structure.
Use Double Jump then three Aerial Force Palms at the top of the cliff, grab onto the conduit with Axiom Force, then float back down into the structure.

Insert the components
Place the power cores above their slot, then use an Aerial Force Palm to lock them in place when the leaves float around them. Do the same for the conduit and pick a corner to hunker down in. The structure will take off and slowly spin around when powered, so stay away from any holes to not slip out.

Repair the structure mid-flight
The structure will pause while in the air as one of the conduits slips out. Put it back into place with Axiom Force then lock it in with an Aerial Force Palm.

When you get the journal entry “Path of Serpents“, you’ll know you’re close. When the structure straightens out and stops shaking, it’s save to exit through the side.
