Dragon Age: Inquisition – The End of an Epic Journey

Dragon Age: Inquisition – The End of the story was a masterpiece combining fantastic voiceover, incredible background music and an interesting twist in the very end.

(DO NOT WORRY, THERE ARE NO STORY RELATED SPOILERS IN THIS POST!)

My adventures as the Warrior Reaver through the story of Dragon Age Inquisition have just ended. The playthrough spread on over 4o episodes, the last 2 of which I just recorded today. Without giving away any spoilers I want to share my exhaustion of this long playthrough. Even thought I have spent over 70-80 hours with the game, I have not come even close to exploring all regions and completing the available side quests. In the future you can expect from time to time Live Shows on the Gaming YouTube Streaming Platform on my VulkkVideos channel. The story may have ended, but Bioware keeps stuffing the game with DLCs, some of which very worth the purchase.

How it all began

In November 2014 I rushed to purchase the game, knowing that SWTOR 3.0 is just behind the Corner and it would be highly unlikely that I will find time to begin a long and epic adventure through Ferelden and Orlais. I cought a nice discount on G2A and bought the game on almost 50% off. In January 2014 just after finishing Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, I started DAI. At first casually and slowly, just for fun. My 2nd channel was brand new back then and nobody knew about my non-SWTOR activities yet.

The long Break

Around the late Spring of 2015 I stopped the series for a couple months to wait for my new Video Card. As you know, I use a 1440p display and that requires more VRAM and horsepower from the GPU, DAI was running laggy at maximum details and when I have such a powerful machine, one crappy PC port could not stop me. I knew I was going to purchase the GTX 980Ti as soon as it becomes available, so I made the decision to pause the Playthgrough series and resume it after the Upgrade.

The Final Stretch

After resuming the episodes, they were a lot more focused on Story and Cinematics. Less comentary, less crafting and wondering around, researching the game while recording. I left these unpleasant to watch events for off-camera and even though some of you had already given up on my series, because of the very long period of time to produce them, those who stayed until the end, enjoyed every piece of story and gameplay, I hope!

The End of the Story

Again, without spoiling anything for those who want to watch the final 2 videos (Episode 41 and Episode 42 + a special little bonus at the very end, including an elf and an ancient creature…), I now can proudly say that I am glad I managed to bring the series to their end. There is a little bit of a bitter taste now in my mouth as some of the events in the final fight were a bit weird and lacked logic. However, I shared my feelings and thoughts during the final episode. Watch it, listen to my opinion and let me know what YOURS is.

The final 2 episodes will be available here on my website a day or two before I publish them on YouTube.

I really hope that you would do me the honour of enjoying them with me and witnessing my final choices as my Inquisition encounters the greatest challenge so far.
