Mirian

The main currency is called Mirian. Mirian can be used to upgrade your gear and fortresses by adding garrisons, warchiefs, your attacking force and more. Mirian can be obtained in one of the following ways:

  • Defeating Treasure Orcs
  • Destroying Gear for Mirian
  • Destroying Orc followers for Gear (which can be destroyed for Mirian)
  • Finding Mirian stashes throughout the game
Gold

Gold is the 2nd currency, used to purchase higher tiers of items from the Market Place. it can be purchased in one of the following ways:

  • Through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or by adding to your Steam Wallet using real money.
  • Awarded in small amounts at specific milestones.
  • Awarded for participating in community challenges.
Shadow of War InGame Market Place

There is nothing exclusive in any of the chests. The difference is quantity and chance to get something of a higher quality as you go up through the tiers. No content in the game is gated by Gold. Everything can be acquired naturally through normal gameplay.

Categories and Tiers

In the very top of the screen is the statistic: Garrison (Number of Followers), Number of Unopened Chests and Consumables.

The categories of items sold at the Market Place are split into:

  • Featured
  • Bundles
