More Star Wars Legends Characters are Coming to the New Canon Soon

One of the Star Wars Story Group members at Disney – Leland Chee – recently hinted that they are hard at work on bringing more of the fan favorite and beloved Legends characters into the new official Canon. If Tag and Bink can do it, why not others like Revan, for example!

Nearly one and a half years after Disney purchased the franchise from George Lucas, they announced that 2 decades worth of literature, comic books, novels, video games will be re-branded and the Expanded Universe (EU) will become the Star Wars Legends. Nothing except the 6 original movies, the Clone Wars TV Show and one Darth Maul comic book would be canon if it was released before that decision was announced in late 2012.

ScreenRant shared a tweet from Leland Chee, who is the person responsible for the Holocron Community Database by the way, who says that the Story Group is trying to bring back into canon many more old characters from the old Expanded Universe (EU) – now called Legends.

It is unfortunate that we don’t have any more details of who is scheduled to come back, how and where. Ron Howard, the Director of the Hand Solo Movie, recently confirmed that – two minor characters from the old EU – will make their return and official debut in the Star Wars Canon in the upcoming movie. By the way, Solo – a Star Wars Story is almost here. The release is scheduled for 25th May 2018.

So, who would you love to see become a canon? You can’t say Thrawn, because if you do, it would mean you are not following the Star Wars Rebels show :P. How about Revan?
