Star Wars Battlefront 2 Map Rotation Update and New Ansel Feature

DICE changed the Map Rotation for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to expand the variety of environments the players see on regular basis. Some of the less rotated and played maps are moved up to the front of the queue. If your favorite mode is Arcade, don’t forget to check out the recently added Ansel feature.

A server-side update was implemented to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on 23rd of April. DICE changed the order in which maps are going to appear for the players. This has been done to increase the appearances of some of the less seen maps.

Galactic Assault will now lead off with Takodana, Starkiller Base and the Yavin 4 maps before including the rest of the maps into the rotation.

For the Heroes vs Villains mode Naboo, Tatooine and Hoth will be the first three with the Death Star, Endor and Naboo again.

Blast will start off with Crait with Naboo and Tatooine following it.

This has been done all on the server side of the game, meaning no downtime or patches to be downloaded for us, the players. Some of the less frequented and played maps will now have a lead. DICE is likely doing this to bring some more variety into the environments and locations players are visiting during the multiplayer experience.

On a side-note, in a recent PC update to the game support for Nvidia’s Ansel has been added. What that means is that if your hardware (GPU) is compatible, you will be able to pause the game at any time and capture in-game images from any angle. You can also use a number of presets and filters to spice up the visuals of your shot.

To be able to make your own Ansel images, you need to update your Origin client to version 2.01 or newer and have the GeForce Experience software installed on your PC. Latest video drivers might also be required.

When all of this is done, load Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and select Arcade mode. At any point during the gameplay, press Alt+Z to open the GeForce Experience Share in-game overlay and head to Gallery. From this new screen you can select your favorite images and upload them to wherever you like.
