Full overview of all Berserker Packs you receive in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla bundled up in the Ultimate Pack, part of the Ultimate Edition of the game (or higher).
Please note that this article contains a few very minor spoilers. To be able to explain where and when you obtain the items from the Ultimate pack and how to equip them, I have to include a little bit of information of your current progress. Don’t worry, it’s nothing worth worrying about.
Table of contents
Before we start, you might want to find out How Gear works in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I have an in-depth guide on what gear is, how to level and upgrade it and how to find the resources for that.
What is the Ultimate Pack in AC Valhalla
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launched on November 10 2020. It is available for PC, Playstation and Xbox in a few different editions. Starting with the Ultimate Edition you will receive for free the Berserker packs as part of the “Ultimate Pack”.
The Ultimate pack is a collection of items that changes your character’s appearance, boosts their stats and provides alternative visuals for your revan and mount.
This set is quite valuable as it’s not so easy and often that you will find new armor and weapons in AC Valhalla. So you may be using this set from the very beginning for at least ten hours or even longer depending on your exploration pace and ambitions. The pack contains the following digital items:
- The Berserker Gear Pack, with the Bearded Axe, the Ursine Guard Light Shield, a new skin for your raven, the ferocious Hati Wolf Mount, and the Berserker Set for Eivor.
- A Set of Runes to sharpen your weapons or improve the gear of your choice.
- The Berserker Longship Pack, which packs in a majestic longship with a unique figurehead and a set of new sails.
- The Berserker Settlement Pack, which includes new ways to customize your settlement.
The Ultimate pack comes with your Ultimate (or higher) edition of the game, but can be purchased from the Helix in-game store later on separately as well.
Where to find the items from the Ultimate Pack
The contents of the Ultimate pack are granted to you gradually as you play the game and unlock new gameplay features.
Shortly after you start the game you will receive a notification that a number of items have been added to your inventory. Open the inventory to see what you can equip right on the spot.
Early on still in Norway (after you talk to Valka), you will receive the Berserker Pack. As soon as you build your settlement in England, you will have access to the Berserker Settlement pack. Build your Shipyard to get access to the Berserker Ship Pack.
Note that some of the contents are related to gameplay features not available at the very start of the game. The items related to them will be available to you as soon as you unlock that feature.
The Berserker Armor Pack
As soon as you reach your own village you will have access to the Berserker Armor Pack. This is a set of armor pieces, an axe and a shield. All belonging to the same set.
In Valhalla you will once again have armor sets with set bonuses. The Berserker set is no exclusion. Here are its bonuses:
- (2) Increase Speed when taking damage until you Heal yourself (up to 5 times)
- (5) Additional increase to Attack and Armor
The numbers in the brackets show how many pieces of the set you need to have equipped to get the bonus. This set bonus relates only to the armor pieces.
The Berserker set, like any other item in AC Valhalla, can be upgraded several times. Each item has a number of available upgrade tiers increasing its stats and performance bonuses.
Here is a full overview of the set in high quality images and video. This is the basic Berserker set without any further upgrades. Runes are included. More about them further down in this article.
Full Set Overview
The power of our modern hardware (yes, even the newest editions from 2020) is not yet at the level required to display properly all of this fur in its natural glory and detail, but what Ubisoft managed to achieve with the looks of the set, is amazing. The fact that vikings don’t wear so much fur is something we will pretend to ignore for now.
Berserker Helm
Berserker Hood
If you opt to hide the helmet while wearing this Hood, it will look like the first image below. If you opt to have the helmet on, it will look like the second image below.
Berserker Armor
Berserker Bracers
Berserker Breeches
Bear-Claw Axe
Ursine Guard Shield
Hati Wolf mount skin
The Wolf mount skin can be “equipped” at a Stable. Stables are available in pretty much any and every village. You can also get it from your own Settlement in England as soon as you build the Stables building.
The mount is purely cosmetic. It looks like a Dire Wolf and is surely breaking all historical accuracies, but looks so damn cool! It also moves very elegantly and naturally… for a wolf I mean.
Muninn raven skin
Your bird companion in AC Valhalla is a raven. Very fitting, given the fact that we are playing as a Viking and a member of the Raven Clan at that.
Similarly to the mount, you can change the skin of the raven at any Stable, including your own Settlement, provided you have built the Stables building already, which is fairly cheap and easy to do early on.
Berserker Ship Pack
To unlock the Ship cosmetics from the Berserker Ship Pack, part of the Ultimate Package, you need to build yourself a Shipyard first in your Settlement Ravensthorpe in England.
Speak to expert craftsman Gudrun, who will modify your longship to your likings, provided you have the appropriate cosmetic items available.
Berserker Hull
Berserker Sail
Berserker Shields
Berserker Figurehead
Berserker Tailpiece
Full Berserker Ship Pack overview
Here are a few images from the cosmetic items as they actually appear on the ship in the game.
Berserker Settlement Pack
The Settlement Pack, part of the Ultimate Package, contains a few cosmetic skins of landmarks and items that will change their appearances. These items are purely skins and do not improve the Settlement at all, except visually. They do help create a theme around your own character. In this case it’s the Berserker theme, which is a bit striking and dark-ish, but if you like it, it’s yours to decorate with!
To place these decorative items in your village, find these pedestals (or pylons?) that look like a bookstand. Interact with them to open the menu with the various options for decorations you can place. There are two of these right at the dock. Another one in the middle of the camp, where the giant Landmark tree is. The final place for decorations is right next to the Bakery.
Berserker’s Rest Landmark Tree
The Tree is in located in the middle of Ravensthorpe. Here are a few images of what this specific skin looks like. You can use it as soon as you establish your settlement in England. No need to update or upgrade any buildings.
Berserker Bear Totem
Berserker’s Practice
Berserker’s Arsenal
Odin Wooden Statue
Set of Runes
As part of the Ultimate Pack in AC Valhalla you receive a set of runes. They are available in any saved game all the time.
- Rune of Rage (light blue color, weapons, shields) – Increases Attack
- Shadow Rune (dark blue color, armor slots) – Increases Stealth Damage
- Rune of Life (green color, armor) – Increases Health
Runes in the game are used as gems that you can insert into your gear to boost its stats with whatever the specific rune provides you with. High quality gear items will have one or more rune slots available.
I suggest you next focus on leveling up your Settlement at least to level 3. You might want to check out the AC Valhalla: Hidden Ones Set and Codex Pages Guide for a good walkthrough and help on obtaining this fantastic armor set and dagger as well as completing a very interesting and easter-egg-filled quest kind of related to the set and the places you visit.
