Ubisoft adds new premium items at the cash shop in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla every Tuesday. In this review article I will show you the new store items for February 2nd, 2021 as well as Reda’s Shop contents! The Helix Store offers a new Gear Pack and a new Ship Pack. Reda offers a mount, a bird skin, a shield and a settlement decoration. Let’s get into the details!

Helix Store Contents for February 2
Each Tuesday the Helix store brings new content. It can be in the form of single items for stand-alone purchase or themed packs like armor sets, ship decorations bundles and more. This week we get a new pack – the Hearthweru Pack.
The Hearthweru Pack costs 1000 Helix Credits and offers the following items:
- Hearthweru Helmet (armor)
- Hearthweru Hood (armor)
- Hearthweru Armor (armor)
- Hearthweru Bracers (armor)
- Hearthweru Pants (armor)
- Warhorse (mount skin)
- Bald Eagle (bird skin)
- Bannermen’s Speak (melee weapon)
- Gilded Shield (shield)
Hearthweru Armor Set
The armor set and the weapons belong to the Wolf path. The armor set has the following set bonuses:
- (2 pieces) Increase Attack for 3 Hits after a Block
- Bonus: +25.0 Attack
- (5 pieces) Additional Increase to Speed
- Bonus: +15.0 Speed
The description on the set reads:
“An elite guard must stand out from the common warriors. This armor marks you as a peerless fighter that stands above others”.
Each one of the items from this armor set (including the spear and shield) have three rune slots: two regular circular slots and one square slot per item. The Gilded Shield is, as I said earlier, a Wolf item and it has the following perk:
- Increase Speed after a Block
- Duration: 10s
- Bonus: +5.0 Speed
The shield has two circular regular rune slots and one rectangular special rune slot.
Gilded Shield
The description on the Gilded Shield is the following:
“Either looted from some treasure vault or crafted on demand with only the finest materials, this shield remains effective while being ostentatious.”
Bannermen’s Spear
The Bannermen’s Shield is a typical 2 handed melee weapon from the Wolf category. This weapon has the two circular standard rune slots and one rectangular special rune slot. It offers the following boosts if equipped:
- Increase Attack when equipped with a Shield
- Bonus: +15.0 Attack
The description of this item reads:
“People carrying flags into battle would be targeted first, but this sturdy variation will make for quite a surprise to would-be assailants”.

Bald Eagle (bird skin)
The Bald Eagle is a very magestic-looking skin for your raven. It wont add any special abilities or perks to the bird, but sill surely alter its appearance to something I am sure most of you will enjoy flying around!
To change your raven’s appearance, you need to interact with the Stable master.
Warhorse (mount skin)
The warhorse is a very generic looking steed. It will hardly impress you and quite honestly is not worth anything. It doesn’t really stand out from any of the other mount skins you can get from the Stables.
To change your horse’s skin you have to talk to a stable master. It’s best if you build your own Stables in Ravensthorpe, unless you already have, of course. You can actually upgrade the mount’s performance there, except for changing its appearance.
Hearthweru Ship Pack
The Hearthweru Ship Pack is a collection of skins and decorations for your Ship. It costs 500 Helix Credits in the Ubisoft Store and was added there on February 2nd, 2021.
The pack contains the following items:
- Hearthweru Hull
- Hearthweru Sail
- Hearthweru Shields
- Hearthweru Figurehead
- Hearthweru Tailpiece
To change your ship’s appearance with any of these items or any other items, visit the Shipyard. If you haven’t yet, you can build a Shipyard for your Settlement.
The contents of this pack only visually alter the appearance of your ship. They do not enhance your sailing speed or anything else in that regard.

Below you can see a gallery of all of these items used on the ship in-game and judge for yourself if they are a good fit for your visual style and worth your money.
How good are the Hearthweru Packs
The set looks kind of cool, especially with the banner on the spear, but the set bonus is a big lack-luster. The set looks more like a knight’s armor than a viking, despite the fur accents. It’s nothing overly exciting and you can find better options on the store and in-game.
Both the shield and the spear are not very impressive in terms of in-combat performance boosts and gameplay altering elements. It may be because I strongly dislike the defensive approach in this and any other game, but this set and weapons really lack creativity and effectiveness to inspire me to recommend them to you, especially when they cost real-life money to obtain.
Sure, the Hearthweru Pack items will one day become available at Reda’s Shop, but judging by the current rotation of items, you should not expect to see items from this pack available for Opal soon.

Reda’s Shop items from February 2
After taking a week off Reda updated his shop with four new items. They are not the top of the selection available, but are decent and you may find a good reason to spend some of your Opal this week.
Hrimfaxi Horse Mount Skin (daily deal)
Hrimfaxi costs 150 Opal at Reda. In the Helix Store you can get it for 500 Helix Credits. This horse skin was released together with the Huldofolk Pack.
“A symbol of night itself, this steed will never falter in darkness or lead its owner astray.”
This horse skin has no impact on your mount’s speed or any other abilities. Its only purpose is to change the appearance of the horse you ride and give you a different visual that better matches your style and perhaps the armor set you are wearing.
Ferryman of the Dead Statue (weekly)
The Ferryman of the Dead is a decoration for your Settlement and quite useless, unless you have piles of Opal from your dailies, weeklies and Challenges.
This item can be purchased as a part of the Gothic Settlement Pack, which costs 300 Helix Credits. At Reda the price of the Statue alone is 50 Opal.
This item has no impact on your settlement’s perks, stats or bonuses. Its only purpose is to look cool when you pass by it. There are a number of places where you can place it in the Ravensthorpe.
Celtic Cross Shield (weekly)
This shield’s special perk increases temporarily Ability Damage when you Block an attack. The shield costs 350 Helix Credits if you buy it from the Store. This item was added on December 1st, 2020. Reda offers it this week for 120 Opal.
Muninn bird skin (weekly)
The Muninn raven skin is a part of the Ultimate Edition of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I reviewed it together with the Berserker Pack when the game released back in November of 2020.
“A mythical raven branded with Odin’s mark. It may or may not whisper secrets”.
The raven does not whisper secrets. It does not reveal any additional information when you fly with it over the lands. This is just a cool reskin of the standard bird in the game.
