Ubisoft adds new premium items at the cash shop in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla almost every Tuesday. In this review article I will show you the two new packs – the Black Raven Gear Pack and Ship Pack. Let’s get into the details!

Black Raven Pack Contents Overview
Each Tuesday the Helix store brings new content. It can be in the form of single items for stand-alone purchase or themed packs like armor sets, ship decorations bundles and more. This week we get a new pack – the Hearthweru Pack.
The Black Raven Pack costs 1500 Helix Credits and offers the following items:
- Black Raven Helmet
- Black Raven Hood
- Black Raven Armor
- Black Raven Bracers
- Black Raven Pants
- Geri (Mount Skin)
- Seidhr (Bird Skin)
- Raven’s Beak (Predator Bow)
- Veurr (Light Shield)
Black Raven Armor Set
The Gear pack contains a full set of armor, a light shield and two skins (one for your bird and one for your mount). Here is the set bonus:
- (2 pieces) Increase Ranged Damage after Hitting 3 shots without Missing
Duration: 60s
Bonus: +20.0 Ranged Damage - Additional increase to Headshot Damage
Bonus: +35.0 Headshot Damage
The description on the set reads:
“Prophetic visions of the one-eyed god seem to indicate he wore similar apparel himself…”
Each one of the items from this armor set (including the spear and shield) have three rune slots. As per the recent changes made by the developers, all sets now have identical rune slots and only the armor and weapons have slots for the square runes.
Raven’s Beak (Raven Predator Bow)
The Raven’s Beak is a predator bow that benefits from the skill trees bonuses for the raven type of gear. It has the following perk:
Increase Headshot damage on a Headshot
Duration: 10s
Bonus: +15.0 Headshot Damage
Geri (wolf mount skin)
Geri is a reskin of your mount. It turns into a dark-skinned wolf that looks very very similar to the wolf skin from the Ultimate Edition pack.
This item has only visual effect on your mount. It will not change its speed, stamina or anything else in or outside of combat. The appearance will also not be commented or noticed by any NPCs you encounter or pass by in the world.
To change your mount’s appearance, visit the stable master at Ravensthorpe.
Seidhr (bird skin)
This item changes the appearance of your bird and gives it a flashy new look. It will not change the functionality of your bird or its features. It only alters its visual style, same as the mount skin.
To change your bird’s appearance, visit the stable master at your settlement.
Black Raven Ship Pack
The Black Raven Ship Pack costs 500 Helix Credits and is a collection of skins and unique designs for your ship. You can use them on both your regular ship as well as on your River Raids Long Ship.
To change your ship’s appearance, visit the new docks. To change your long ship’s appearance, visit the old docks.
Are the Black Raven Packs worth purchasing
The Black Raven armor set’s visuals are clearly inspired by the Mentor’s set and Hidden Ones set. In fact many of its elements are identical or very similar to the ones on the Hidden Ones set, which is only available through gameplay.
The set bonus of the armor set is not something I personally would value highly, simply because I myself don’t like ranged builds. As a set bonus it’s quite good if you like the bow gameplay and rely on it. The 2-pieces bonus perk stays active for a full minute, which is often enough for you to clear the whole area you are exploring.
The Ship Pack is, as usual, a complete waste of money, unless you have some to spare and are wondering where to throw it. The visual appearance is nice, but unless you really want to change your ship’s appearance for the short periods in which you actually sail in the game, I’d suggest you spend your money on something more useful… like supporting this site. That sounded more fun and playful in my mind than it would on your screen when you read it, for sure :)))
The wolf mount skin from the gear pack is an identical appearance to the one you get from the Ultimate Pack, only this time it’s a black wolf. And to be honest, the black one looks cooler. More scary and intimidating.
