What is the Celtic Armor Set

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla armor sets provide unique look for your character Eivor, but also bring special and unique set bonuses if you equip more than one piece that belong to the same set.

The Celtic. It is part of the Bear gear collection and any Red passives increasing Bear gear from your Skill Tree will directly increase the stats of this set. This is a mid-tier armor set. You can, of course, level it up.

The Celtic Armor Set contains the following set bonuses:

  • (2) Increase Attack when taking damage
    Duration: 10s
    Bonus: +15.0 Attack
  • (5) Additional increase to Melee Damage and Melee Resistance
    Bonus: +10.0 Melee Damage
    Bonus: +15.0 Melee Resistance

The numbers in the brackets show how many pieces of the set you need to equip to get the bonus perks. It doesn’t matter which armor pieces you slot as long as they belong to the same set.

When can you get the Celtic Set in AC Valhalla?
All five pieces are available in Ireland, which is the new region added with the Wrath of the Druids DLC (the first expansion the to game, released in May 2021). Unlike the Hidden Ones Set, this one will take you to guarded areas and you will either have to fight your way through, or be clever with sneaking. You can get this armor set at around Power Level 50 or higher. The whole area for the DLC is set to Power Level 55. You could do it at lower level as well, but you will have to be extra cautious to avoid fights with overpowered foes.

When should you get the Celtic Set in AC Valhalla?
It depends on you playstyle. You can get the set early on. The whole map of Ireland seems to be set for the same difficulty level. I visited it at Power Level 409 and had absolutely no troubles with any of the encounters. Still, the DLC’s difficulty is listed as Power Level 55 on the map in-game, so if you are new character, just starting your adventures in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, be careful.

How to get the Celtic Set in Valhalla

The Celtic Set contains five armor pieces. They are all located in Ireland, part of the Wrath of the Druids DLC. If you do not own this expansions to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will not have access to the new map where this armor set is located.

The five pieces are not hard to get. Some require you to unlock or uncover secret entrances, some require fighting, but most are easy to access if you know where to search.

The cloak and helmet are in Ulster region, the torso and breeches are in Connacht region and the bracers are in Meath region. The following sections of this guide will take you step-by-step through all of the obstacles to obtain the items and get the full set.

Celtic Helmet

The Helmet is located in the north-western pars of Ireland. In the Ulster region, you need to go to the Aileach settlement.

Depending on when you visit this region and how further you have progressed in your story, you may see different reactions from the settlers and guards nearby.

The chest with the helmet is in the upper part of the settlement, in the restricted section.

Almost on top of the Armor icon on your map, there is a red tent. Get inside and look at the ground – it will be metal grid that covers a small dungon-like room beneath the tent.

Use Odin’s sight to mark the door you need to shoot with an arrow to unlock.

Now, exit the tent and turn to walk to your left. Jump down on the lower level, where the dungeons are. Take the corridor that points straight to the North-West.

At the end of the corridor, there will be a door – that’s the door you unlocked by shooting at it a moment ago. The chest with the Celtic Helmet is inside.

Celtic Cloak

The Cloak chest is also in Ulster. On the northern shores of Lough Neagh lake you will find a military camp with the most complicated name Inch Lough Neagh.

The chest is in a red tent in the restricted area on the east side. You can quickly run in to pick up the Cloak and run out without fighting the many guards around.

Celtic Armor (Torso)

The torso from the Celtic set is located in a chest in Rathcroghan, which is in the middle of the Connacht region in Ireland. The chest itself is in the eastern part of the camp.

First, find the Chieftain NPC and defeat it to obtain the Rathcroghan Key from him. The chieftain usually sits near a large fire in the most eastern part of the camp.

Now head up to the highest part of the camp. Unlock the door of the large building and enter to find the chest. It’s on the end opposite to the entrance.

Celtic Bracers

For this armor piece you will need to visit the Inchroe fortress, located in the dead center of the Meath region.

You will be taken here early on by a quest from the main DLC storyline. When inside, look for a hole in the wall, blocked by some wooden crates. Break them and slide through that hole. The chest with the Celtic Bracers is right on the other side of this wall.

Celtic Breeches

The final piece of the Celtic set – the Breeches – is located at the top of the northern tower of Cashelore, west from the Foyle River adn east from Lough Glencar, in the north-eastern part of the Connacht region.

Climb up and enter the inner area of the tower’s top floor. There will be a lot of guards around and you will have some heavy-duty objects moving to perform. It might be a better idea to clear the area first.

As you face north-east, locate the two large movable stone-walls and a few wooden crates in front of them.

Break the wooden crates. Move the left (smaller) stone object further inside the corridor that it blocks and then move the right (larger) stone-object to the left. This will clear a wide enough path for you on the right side.

The chest is at the end of the narrow corridor.
