Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Paladin Armor Set Locations (Siege of Paris)

Guide showing you where and how to obtain all five parts of the Paladin Armor Set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s The Siege of Paris DLC!

What is the Paladin Armor Set

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla armor sets provide unique look for your character Eivor, but also bring special and unique set bonuses if you equip more than one piece that belong to the same set.

The Paladin set is part of the Bear gear collection and any Red passives increasing Bear gear from your Skill Tree will directly increase the stats and boost peformance of this set. This is a Flawless-tier armor set. You can, of course, level it up.

The Paladin Armor Set contains the following set bonuses:

  • (2 Pieces Equipped) Melee attacks consume more stamina and deal more damage
Bonus: +5% Stamina consumption, +50.0 Melee Damage
  • (5 Pieces Equipped) Additional Adrenaline charge bonus from attacks. Shield blocks consume less stamina.
Bonus: +70% Adrenaline charge, -5% Stamina consumption

The numbers in the brackets show how many pieces of the set you need to equip to get the bonus perks. It doesn’t matter which armor pieces you slot as long as they belong to the same set.

When can you get the Paladin Set in AC Valhalla?

All five pieces are available in Francia, which is the new region added with The Siege of Paris DLC (the second expansion the to game, released in August 2021). Unlike the Hidden Ones Set, this one will take you to guarded areas and you will either have to fight your way through, or be clever with sneaking.

You can get this armor set at around Power Level 200 or higher. The whole area for the DLC is set to Power Level 200. All regions of the new map (Francia) are designed for Power Level 200 or higher. You could do it at lower level as well, but you will have to be extra cautious to avoid fights with overpowered foes.

When should you get the Paladin Set in AC Valhalla?

It depends on you playstyle. You can get the set early on. You need access to the map, of course, which means you need to purchase the Siege of Paris DLC. I have a handy guide showing you how to get to Francia.

The DLC’s difficulty is listed as Power Level 200 on the map in-game, so if you are new character, just starting your adventures in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, be careful.

How to get the Paladin Set in Valhalla

The Paladin Set contains five armor pieces. They are all located in Francia, part of the Siege of Paris DLC. If you do not own this expansions to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will not have access to the new map where this armor set is located.

The five pieces are not hard to get. Some require you to unlock or uncover secret entrances, some require fighting, but most are easy to access if you know where to search.

The bracers and torso are hidden in Paris. The pants and helmet are in Melun. The final piece – the cloak – is in Everesin.

Paladin Helmet

The Helmet is located in the Pruvinis fort. It is in the eastern part of Melunois in Francia, north and east from your main camp.

The entrance is in the south-eastern end of the fort.

Entrance to the underground in Pruvinis

Nearby, in the ruined tower, look for a captain NPC named Gedriht. Defeat him to loot the Pruvinis Chest Key. You will need that to unlock the chest containing the Helmet.

Gedriht

Now, head to the underground entrance. Jump down and as you enter the narrow corridor, in front of you there is a barred door. To your right you will find flammable pots. Pick one up.

Turn around and throw the pot at the weak stone wall to blow it up. You can use an Incendiary Powder Trap ability as well.

Go through that corridor and follow it until you reach a door with a metal grid. Aim through it and shoot an arrow at one of the flammable pots inside. This will open up the main door to the room.

Go back to the main corridor and go through the door you just “unlocked”. As you enter the room, the chest with the helmet inside will be on your right. You can open it and pick up the armor piece.

Paladin Hood

The Paladin Cloak is in Lisieux, which is far to the west on the map, in western Evresin.

To get to the chest, which is inside the crypt of the church, you will need two keys.

The Lisieux Cript Door Key is held by one of the monks. Use your Odin’s Sight to spot him. For me he was inside the church. Approach him slowly and use the “Steal” mechanic to get the key from him.

Next, get the Hidden Crypt Room Door Key. It’s on the highest floor of the church’s bell tower. You can get there by climbing the tower from the outside and breaking one of the glass windows to enter that room or by climbing wooden ladders from the inside of the tower. The image below shows the first option.

The key is on a wooden table among some scrolls.

Now, head into the crypt. The entrance is within the church’s grounds, where the graveyard is (logically, heh). The first key is for the entrance door you see on the image below.

Follow the corridor until you reach the room with the two crosses between which there is a black and purple tapestry. Behind it you will find another locked door. That’s what the second key is for.

Inside is the chest containing the Paladin Hood armor piece.

Paladin Chainmail

The Paladin Chainmail (chest piece) is inside the Defender’s Rest fort. It is heavily guarded, but if you are quick and smart, you can go in and out quick without too much troubles. The Defender’s Rest is in Paris, on the northern banks of the Sequana River.

To unlock the chest, you will need the Defender’s Rest Chest Key. It’s in the prison, which is on the lower level. To get to it, you can either enter through the wooden door next to the fort’s entrance on the south-east side or by simply walking down the stairs from the river side. The image below shows the entrance through the door from inside the fort.

Go in, jump down to the lower level, open the metal door and turn right towards the other door on the other side of the open area.

The key is on a wooden table, right next to a burning bowl of… something… looks like food.

Head back out and to the ground level. Look for the heavy door at the base of the high tower in the fort. That door can be opened freely.

Go inside. Climb up the stairs to the upper floor where you will find the chest with the Paladin Chainmail. You can unlock it and pick up the armor piece now. There’s a note nearby. If you find the chest first and have no key, that note will give you a hint where to look for the key to the chest.

Paladin Bracers

The Paladin Bracers are very close to the Chainmail – also in Paris, but further to the east. It’s in a big stone building – La Grave.

Paladin Bracers Map

Once again you will need a key to open the room where the chest with this item is. Enter the building through the main door on the ground level. There will be guards nearby, so be careful. The door is on the north-west side.

Go up the stairs and on the upper level go left. Shoot an arrow through at the blocking mechanism to unblock the door leading out to the East balcony.

Turn left and shoot an arrow through the metal bars to break the mechanism of the door to the other balcony.

Get out through the East balcony and head couter-clock-wise. Enter the room on the other side of the building through the North balcony.

The Le Grave Chest Key is in that room, to your right.

Exit through the balcony and enter back through the other balcony. On your left there’s a locked door. This key is for it. Inside is the Paladin Bracers Chest.+

Paladin Pants

The chest is inside the red tent, but is locked. The key is held by the Goliath NPC. This guy may be roaming from time to time, but I found him in the lower portion of the encampment, near a burnt house near the water.

Paladin Pants Map

The Paladin Pants you can get from the Medanta encampment, in northern Melunous. This location is right between Paris and Evresin.

The chest is in the big ret tent, on the left side as you enter inside.
