How to find all Scythe weapons available in Francia, part of the Siege if Paris DLC in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with locations and stats!
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion is called The Siege of Paris. It released on August 12 2021 and brought a brand new map – Francia – for Eivor to explore.
The expansion also brings new secret locations to explore and treasures to find, such as the new Scythe weapons in Francia. If you need a hand in figuring out how to start Siege of Paris and get to Francia, I have just the guide to help you with that! Now, onto the Scythes locations!
There’s a lot of roaming around the map to collect these, same as with the One-Handed Swords in Francia. If you opt to do the Rebel Missions in Francia first, this might allow you to unlock some of the Fast Travel locations (spawn points). Or… vise versa.
Francia is not too big, so traveling across it will not take you nearly as much time as England.
Table of contents
Where to find Bloodied Scythe in Francia
You can find the Bloodied Scythe weapon in the Pontem Esera keep in Amienos in Francia. The keep is located in the western part of the region, west of Compendium and north from the Oysa River.
The door to the house where the chest is is locked, so you’ll need to get a key first.
Find the whole in the floor near the southern wall of the keep and climb down the wooden ladder.
Next, move the heady object that blocks the entrance to the adjacent room.
Break the wooden door to your right and clear the path to the outside. You can break the wooden crate sitting on top of the Rat Swarm’s hideout so you can scare them and move safely across the area. It’s the glowing-in-red item on the image below.
Of course, you could just run on the surface and get to the Golliath NPC that holds the key, but sneaking is a bit more sophisticated :)))
With the Pontem Esera Door Key in your hands, head back up to the house with the chest. It’s a two-story building made of stone and located next to the northern wall of the fort.
The chest is inside next to the wooden table and chair.
The Bloodied Scythe has the following features:
- Skill tree: Bear
- Rarity and Level: Flawless 4/10, can be upgraded
- Perk: Kill chance with Light and Heavy Finishers on regular enemies with Low Health.
Chance: 30%
Health < 30% - Rune slots: 2 circular ones at discovery, can be upgraded
In this segment the images are a bit overblown in color because I forgot to turn off HDR while recording it and we all know how weird HDR still is on Windows :)))
How to find Scythe of Tribulation in Francia
The Scythe of Tribulation is located in the Flooded Slums in Paris. It’s down in a semi-flooded crypt and is a free loot, not related to a quest. The area is south-east from the Wooden Bridge, on the south banks of the Sequana River.
On the south side of the flooded church is the entrance to the crypt – a small stone building.
Swim underwater to the other end. It’s a narrow passage with some Loot spread on the floor.
When you emerge on the other side. continue down the one-way corridor. Beware of the Rat Swarms. At the end of the corridor you will enter a square(ish) room with several doors. To your right there is a barred door, which you can use later to get back to the surface.
On the wall to the right from this door there’s a gap. You can slide through it into the adjacent small room, where the chest is.
There are more rats around it, which you can scare for a moment using your weapon and quickly pick up the Scythe from the chest.
The Scythe of Tribulation has the following features:
- Skill tree: Wolf
- Rarity and Level: Flawless 4/10, can be upgraded
- Perk: Set your weapon on fire after a successful Light or Heavy hit.
Duration: 10s - Rune slots: 2 circular ones at discovery, can be upgraded
How to get Scythe of Revolt and Belatores Robe
The Scythe of Revolt is inside an area that you unlock during one of the main story missions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla The Siege of Paris DLC.
I will not spoil the story for you, but if you want some tips on how to get the Scythe of Revolt quick and easy, keep reading this segment of the guide.
During The Rot in the Slums main mission you have to talk to Sigfred, who will then send you onto your First Assassination Mission in The Siege of Paris DLC.
To do the mission the quick and easy way first you will need the Bellatores Robe. The Bellatores Robe is a one-of its kind unique gear piece, not part of an armor set.
To find the Bellatores Robe, go to the Saint-Genevive Church located in the south-eastern part of Paris.
The guards in the church should not bother you unless you have had previous encounters with them recently. Enter the church and climb up the wooden ladder on your left.
The chest with the Bellatores Robe is in the corner. It’s not locked either. I know, hard to believe!
This item will grant you access to the basement of the Saint-Genevive Church, where you will need to go for the main quest and to get the Scythe of Revolt, of course.
There are a few bits from the main mission that I will skip here, because they are not directly related to finding the Scythe and I don’t want to completely ruin your story, even though if you are reading this, you probably don’t care too much about spoilers.
Entrance to the underground tunnels is in the south-western end of the Church.
When you go down there will be a locked door with a guard in front of it. This NPC is not someone you fight. Put up the Bellatores Robe, talk to him and he will unlock the door for you.
Alternatively, of course, you could search for the key to the door.
If you are not wearing the robe and you attempt to go through the door, the game will pop up a message telling you that this is a good moment to done the Bellatores Robe. D’oh!
In the room there will be two braziers and a woman that will tell you to light them up, but she will do it in a form of a riddle. Well, not much of a puzzle, as the braziers will glow in the traditional “green-blue” color for a quest item if you use Odin’s Sight…
Light them up and the woman will unlock the door to the right where you can continue your mission.
The next part is the assassination of your main target. You can do that stealthy or by rushing in. Your choice.
When you are done with that part of the quest, you will look another key from the target’s body. You will need to go there for the mission to continue anyway.
As you explore the room for the main mission, you will loot the Scythe of Revolt.
The Scythe of Revolt has the following features:
- Skill tree: Raven
- Rarity and Level: Flawless 4/10, can be upgraded
- Perk: Increased Speed when surrounded by 3 or more enemies. The bonus endures for 5 seconds after it is no longer active.
Bonus: 20.0 Speed - Rune slots: 2 circular ones at discovery, can be upgraded
Where to find Wretched Scythe in Francia
The Wretched Scythe weapon is available in Francia as free loot, meaning it’s not part of any mission or locked behind progress or anything.
You will find it in Murmiliacum, this is in the northern parts of Francia, in the Amienois region and the location is directly east from Amiens.
To unlock the chest containing the weapon you will need the Murmiliacum Door Key. It is on the second level of the building, on a night stand next to the bed in the bedroom.
The chest with the Wretched Scythe is on the underground level beneath the villa. The entrance is behind the two-story stone building – near the east wall. Break the wooden floor to reveal it.
When you jump down, shoot the wooden crate to reveal the sewer.
Then hit a few times at the Rat Swarm to force it to disappear into the sewer and move the large object that blocks your path to the chest.
The Wretched Scythe has the following features:
- Skill tree: Raven
- Rarity and Level: Flawless 4/10, can be upgraded
- Perk: Increase Critical Chance after a sucessful blade hit.
Duration: 3.5s
Bonus: +40.0 Critical Chance - Rune slots: 2 circular ones at discovery, can be upgraded
This concludes my Scythes Weapons Locations in Francia Guide for The Siege of Paris DLC in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
If you are wondering about the Featured Image in this guide, my Eivor is wearing the Draugr Armor Set with two of the four Scythes from Francia. He looks impressive. Scythe is a Two-Handed weapon, but thanks to the Heavy Dual Wield Skill Ability in AC Valhalla, it’s possible to use two giant weapons at the same time.
Below you can check out more guides for other gear locations in the game.
