What is the Twilight Pack

The Twilight Pack is a gift for pre-ordering the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It contains a gear set (five armor pieces), a two-handed axe, a mount skin and a bird skin.

Dawn of Ragnarok is the third expansion pack for Assassain’s Creed Valhalla. It releases on March 10th, 2022. This is a stand-along expansion. It is not part of the Season Pass that was available (and still is) for purchase along with the base game.

As soon as you pre-order the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC, you will receive an exclusive gift – the Twilight Pack.

Twilight Pack Armor Set Overview

The armor set consists of five standard pieces: head, hood, armor, bracers, pants. It is a mythical wolf gear set.

Twilight Armor Set Bonus and Full Visual Preview

The Twilight Armor Set has the following bonuses for equipping two and five items at once:

(2 Pieces) Increase Fire Build-Up and Speed when equipped.
Bonus: +10.0 Fire Build-Up
Bonus: +30.0 Speed
(5 Pieces) Ice shards fall from the sky on a Light Finisher, dealing area damage and reducing area damage and reducing the damage of enemies
Lava burst from the player on a Heavy Finisher, dealing area damage and igniting enemies
Damage Reduction: 5%
Ice Shards Cooldown: 20s
Lava Burst Cooldown: 15s

The Twilight armor set looks absolutely stunning. Below you can see the full set in all of its glory, including the axe (full details about the axe below), from all sides.

Algurnir Overview (2 Hand Axe)

Algurnir is a two-handed Dane Axe featuring beautiful animated flames and ice around the top and bottom ends of the weapon.

“Forged in Svartalfheim, this axe combines the frost of its blade with the fire of its handle to deliver deadly attacks.”

It has a very unique perk:

Finishers with this weapon will always deal critical damage. Critical damage with finishers deal 100% more damage.
Only active when there is no weapon equipped in the secondary hand.

If uses wisely and correctly, this can be an incredibly powerful weapon. Combining it with a proper fire build, you will enjoy it a lot. Well, I do. I play the game with a fire build myself most of the time anyway.

Dellingr’s Envoy Overview (Bird Skin)

As with any other bird skin in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the Dellingr’s Envoy bird skin does not impact your bird’s performance or abilities. It simply changes its appearance.

Up until now the Black Wolf was my favorite mount, but after I pre-ordered the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC and got the Havardr skin, it immediately became my favorite.

Is the Twilight Pack worth it

I may sound overly excited for the Twilight Pack, but it has its drawbacks as well. The armor set is a bit too bright and colorful and may not fit every player’s taste. The weapon is a 2-hander and cannot be paired with another weapon if you want to use the full potential of its unique perk.

The gear set is designed with clear Fire Build in mind and that’s how I tested it after I pre-ordered Dawn of Ragnarok DLC and got the set. Reminder: you receive this set immediately after you pay for your pre-order. You don’t have to wait for the expansion’s launch.

I personally prefer the perk of Hel’s Scythe from the Oskoreia Festival. It plays better with my style. The Axe is great for general raids and things where you can bundle up more enemies close to each other.

The whole pack features stunning animations with incredibly well-made lightning and visual effects. Fire and ice mix well and unless the rich colors annoy you, you will be in awe by simply looking at your Eivor wearing this gear.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has entered the second year after its release and Ubisoft continues to support the game with new content updates, fixes and improvements.

If you are reading this and are still enjoying the game, I see no reason to hold off on your pre-order. Yes, there is a trend running stronger with each failed title that doesn’t deliver on its promises. With Dawn of Ragnarok you know you can expect more of the same and if that’s enough for you, you can spend your money.
