How to get Dwarven Blacksmith Armor set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok

The Dwarven Blacksmith armor set is available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Dawn of Ragnarok expansion. Here’s everything you need to know!

What is the Dwarven Blacksmith Armor Set

The Dwarven Blacksmith armor set is exclusively available as loot from the gear chests in Svartalfheim, the dwarven world, released with the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion and only available to players who can travel to Svartalfheim.

The Dwarven Blacksmith set is part of the Bear gear collection and any Red passives increasing Bear gear from your Skill Tree will directly increase the stats and boost the performance of this set. This is a Mythical tier armor set. You can level it up to Divine tier.

The Dwarven Blackismith armor set has the following set bonuses:

  • (2 Pieces Eqiupped) Increase Armor when stunning an enemy.
    Duration: 10 seconds
    Bonus: 30.0 Armor
  • (5 Pieces Equipped) Additional increase to Speed
    Bonus: +20.0 Speed
Dwarven Blacksmith Armor Set Perks

The numbers in the brackets show how many pieces of the set you need to equip to get the bonus perks. It doesn’t matter which armor pieces you slot as long as they belong to the same set.

When can you get the Dwarven Blacksmith Set in AC Valhalla?

All five pieces are available in Svartalfheim. This new map was released on March 10th, 2022. It is exclusively available to players, who own the base game and have purchased the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion. This expansion is not part of the Season Pass and must be purchased separately. You can get this set as soon as you arrive to Svartalfheim and finish the tutorial mission.

When should you get the Dwarven Blacksmith Set in AC Valhalla?

The whole region is designed as a high-level EndGame experience, but if you need to, you could lower the difficulty and make everything feel like a breeze. I advise you against that. You paid money to enjoy the content, not to breeze through it like it’s nothing.

Any Powers you need from the new Hugr-Rip system, you will have available at the locations you will visit. You don’t need any of these powers upgraded either.

How to get the Dwarven Blacksmith Set in AC Valhalla

The Dwarven Blacksmith armor set is built from five pieces – helm, cape, chest, boots and bracers. They are all available as loot in Svartalfheim.

Where to find the Dwarven Blacksmith Helmet

The chest with the Dwarven Blacksmith Helmet is at Fornama, in Vangrinn.

Dwarven Blacksmith Helmet Map Location

Find the hole in the ground and drop to the underground section. Pick up the Power of Jotunheim and slide through the opening in the north wall.

Right in front of you (image below) is the treasure chest with the helmet. On the right side, behind the stone pillar, is a Yggdrassil statue you can use. There are rats on floor in front of you. And they have no hole to run to. They are always going to chance you as soon as you step down.

There are grapple points on the far left and the far right sides of this caveat. Travel between them to lure the rats away from the movable object (image below). You need to distract the rats to the far corner of the room for long enough to move the object to the left, so you can climb on it and jump to the other side of the ice.

My strategy was (would love to hear alternatives, because this is a tricky one) to replenish my Hugr bar, then move back to the corner of the cave, activate the Power of Jotunheim and wait for the rats to come to me. Then I grapple to the middle target to teleport myself quickly to the movable object and move it as much has I can. Then rinse and repeat a couple more times until it’s close enough for me to jump over. The rats are relentless.

As soon as you get on the other side and open the chest, fire will explore in your face.

Where to find the Dwarven Blacksmith Cloak

The Cloak is at the Gull-horp mansion in Svaladal. It’s one of the easiest chests to get. You will need Power of Muspelheim to get it, though.

Dwarven Blacksmith Cloak Map Location

Enter the building where the chest is from the north side.

Activate Power of Muspelheim and push the movable object towards the ladder in the middle of the building and climb it to get to the second floor.

The chest is upstairs, no locks, no problems.

Where to find the Dwarven Blacksmith Armor

The armor for this set is at Hreidmar Groft in Vandrginn. This location is just south-west from a quick travel point and north from the Afalvat Mylna raid location on the eastern banks of the Fornvatn River.

Look for glass-like ice on the ground. You can break that and jump down.

Follow the lava river along. There’s one more ice wall to break on your path. Yggdrassil statue is conveniently placed right after that ice wall.

Soon you will reach the big open underground space with the chest right in the middle. You need a key to open it.

From the chest’s location, look towards the south. You need to cross the lava river and go into the adjacent cave. Then turn right and follow the path that will lead you to another small cave. There’s another Yggdrasil statue and an ice wall ahead. Break the wall.

Activate Power of Jotunheim and teleport up.

Turn right and pick up the key for the chest.

Get back down to the chest. You can use the same route back.

Where to find the Dwarven Blacksmith Bracers

The Bracers chest is in the stone building at Fidsthorp in Svaladal. This is the same place where you will find the Knockback Arrow ability.

Dwarven Blacksmith Bracers Map Location

I have a separate guide showing all locations of Books of Knowledge in Svartalfheim. You can get these two items within a minute. They are both in the same building, but you need different setup of the light beams to unlock these rooms.

Climb up the window on the west side of the building and enter inside on the second floor.

Break the weak wooden floor and climb up to the third floor.

Turn the light to point at the node above the door on the west wall.

In this small room you will find a ball. Carry it downstairs. Place it on the pillar.

Turn the pillar with the light to the other side and power up the node outside of the house, on the east side.

Shoot the pedals of the pillar on top of the east building. Make the light bounce off as shown below (this is the different step compared to the Book of Knowledge):

When the light beam reaches the node above the door on the ground floor, enter and get your new bracers.

Where to find the Dwarven Blacksmith Breeches

The Breeches from this set is probably the hardest item to get. The chest is hidden away in a secret room in the prison fortress Feigardr in the most southern part of Vangrinn.

Dwarven Blacksmith Breeches Map Location

The chest is on the second floor of the big tower. You can enter through this gap in the wall:

Use the Power of Jotunheim to teleport in the middle room with the many keys.

Pick up the keys from the pedestals. Get back out and head to the same staircase where you entered the building. Staying with your back towards the entrance, now head right to find the Emerald Key.

It’s in a secret room behind the last prison cell on the right side. Break that wooden fence and enter inside to get the Emerald Key.

Head back to the other wing of the tower and climb a ladder to the second floor. Unlock the third prison cell from the left. If you plan to escape and not quick travel, then unlock the first cell as well.

The back wall of the third cell is weak and you can blow it up with an incendiary arrow.

Enter the secret room behind it and turn left. Activate Power of Jotunheim again and teleport to the small room wit the chest.

Now you have the full set of the Dwarven Blacksmith.
