Star Wars Outlaws: Breakout Quest Walkthrough

Siow by Siow|

This guide will show you how to break out the Safecracker, Ank, in Star Wars Outlaws. After returning the relic to the Ashiga Clan, Krisk offers a proposal to help you get Ank back for your needs.

How to get the Breakout quest

To get the Breakout quest, you must complete the quests The Safecracker and Gunsmith. Once you complete these missions you’ll get a call from Krisk, the daughter of the Ashiga Clan’s queen.

Gunsmith is very short as all you need to do is return to the Trailblazer after completing The Safecracker. ND-5 will give you a blaster upgrade that allows you to switch to Power mode.

The power mode on your blaster will allow you to charge your blaster to fire an explosive shot. The mechanic is also used a lot in treasure hunting to blow up walls and rocks.

If you have already unlocked the power module by completing The Heavy or The Droidsmith, then you can ignore this step.

For more information about the power module, see our Blaster Modules and Key Parts guide. You’ll find the power module’s upgrades and how to unlock them.

Meeting up with Krisk

Your first task is to go to The Domak Refectory cantina and go upstairs. You’ll see a couple of Ashiga guards blocking access. Move up to them and a cutscene will start.

After the cutscene, you’ll get a Weapons Factory Access Card. Krisk will have you go to the weapons factory the queen runs, and make your way there following the marker on your map.

After talking to the Ashiga guarding the entrance, you can go through the tunnel on your speeder that has been courteously delivered there by ND-5.

Take a short ride down the tunnel until you reach a collapsed area. On your right, you’ll find a crack in the wall. Squeeze through it and follow the tunnel to the weapons factory.

Infiltrating the Weapons Factory

You’ll exit the tunnel and get a good view of the weapons factory ahead of you. You can take the left path or the right path, but I wouldn’t recommend the left path if you went to Kijimi before Akiva.

Before you take either path, be sure to pull out your binoculars and mark any enemies in the area.

The Left Path into the Weapons Factory

There’s a droid on the left that’ll be patrolling the area, you’ll need an Electro-Shock Prod you get from the Scavenger Expert while doing The Droidsmith quest on Akiva to quietly take down the droid.

Avoid shooting the droid until you take out the other Ashiga Clan agents in the area.

Regardless, you can swing from the grapple point onto the left path. You can climb across the fans or go downstairs and avoid the cameras to reach the other side.

Follow the arrows in the following image to reach the objective on the left path. The yellow square shows where you can find a large chest

If you go down the ladder near the fans, you’ll find a large chest containing credits. You can then hug the wall to the left to avoid the cameras seeing you.

The Right Path into the Weapons Factory

The path to the right in the weapons factory requires more stealth and less platforming. Sneak around and knock out any Ashiga Clan agents in the area then go up the ramp.

The yellow box shows the location of a large chest.

In the middle of the area towards the back, you can find a large chest that contains some credits. There will be two guards in this area and if you use your Nix Sense, you can detect another chest nearby.

On the north end of this area, you’ll find a ramp that leads upstairs. Look for an orange door with a panel next to it, then lockpick it to go inside.

Climb up the grates and jump to the right wall to reach the ledge where the air duct is. Go inside, hop out through the square hole inside, and you’ll find a large chest with upgrade materials.

Make a right of the chest, jump onto the generators and follow the path forward. Jump down a hole into the air duct and you’ll end up in a room with a single guard.

Knock out the guard and go to the window on your left, you’ll see Ank having a conversation with one of the Ashiga Clan.

To the right of the window is a grate you can start climbing. Follow the path in the image below to reach a platform. Behind one of the air ducts is a large chest, but a powered fan is in your way.

After reaching the ledge, look across the hall where you’ll see a power switch. Send Nix to turn it off, now the path below you and the path to the chest are now open.

Once you get that chest, jump over the guard rail and go into the air duct. Follow the air duct until you can jump down where you meet Ank.

Get Ank’s Stuff from the Locker Room

She has a plan to blow her way out of here with explosives, so you’ll need to help her get out of the weapons factory. Before she can leave, she needs you to grab her stuff in the locker room as she prepares the cargo sled to escape.

Go through the orange door and crouch behind some cover, this next area has 6 guards and a droid. When the droid faces away from you, go through the vent on the left.

Take out all the guards and lockpick the door on the west wall once the coast is clear. You’ll find a guard in the locker room, knock him out, and you’ll see Ank’s belongings on the window sill.

To the right of a window is a large chest that contains some upgrade materials. Make your way back to Ank once you have her belongings. Her belongings appear to be a hand-made charm of twisting electrical wires.

Escaping the Weapons Factory

As soon as you pick up the charm, an explosion goes off as Ank makes her escape. The alarm is sounding now, so you can expect every guard from here on out to be ready for combat.

Go out the blue door in the locker room and follow the path out. You’ll run into some suspended crates. Shoot a nearby power conduit with your ion blaster, hop onto one of the crates, and ride it until you reach the platform ahead.

This platform will have a lot of guards. While you can take them out stealthily, Krisk mentioned that she doesn’t care about the agents here as they’re loyal to the queen.

The west side of the platform will have a grapple point, use it to rappel down. Across a gap there are three guards, shoot the explosive canister and take out any survivors. Use the grapple point above you to swing over there.

Climb up the yellow grate on the left, shimmy to the right, and jump up the ledge. You’ll be greeted by more guards you’ll need to take down. Clear the area and take down any guards that come out of a door until they stop.

Ank’s path is being blocked by a ray shield, so you’ll need to destroy two power conduits to clear the path.

The first conduit will have you send Nix to hold open a shutter. Shoot the power conduit and look towards the left for a boulder.

If you use Nix Sense, the boulder will be highlighted. Swap your blaster to Power mode and fire a charged shot at the boulder. This will blow it up to reveal the second power conduit you need to destroy.

Make your way to the lift and pick up the blaster rifle the guard drops. While Ank repairs the lift, some guards will appear on the platforms around you.

If you’re using the blaster rifle the guard dropped, aim downwards as you fire due to the high vertical recoil of this weapon.

For the remainder of this quest, you’ll have to fight your way out until you reunite with Ank. Talk to her for a cutscene and leave the weapons factory.

Don’t forget to pick up the final chest for some credits on your way out. It’s in the hall right after Ank leaves with the pillars riddled with hexagons. Once you exit the factory, the quest will be completed.

The main story continues with the quest The Hive. You can take a break with the newly unlocked side quest Hidden Archive. An Ashiga Clan myrmitrix needs Kay to find a hidden Crimson Dawn archive in outer space. Our walkthrough will give you both outcomes for the decision you have to make at the end so you know what you lose and win in either case.
