How to get the Disruptor Outfit in Star Wars Outlaws: Overview and Stats

Endonae by Endonae|

This guide will show you what the Disruptor outfit looks like, what stats it provides, and how to get it in Star Wars Outlaws!

What are Outfits in Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws’s Loadouts tab has three slots for clothing gear pieces. All pieces of clothing modify your appearance and are part of a full set. Over half of them have a Set Bonus, which gives you an additional effect for wearing all 3 pieces of the same set.

Each piece of clothing falls into one of three quality tiers that determines how much of an impact it will have in combat.

TierNumber of Buff EffectsSet Bonus?
Cosmetic0No
Standard1No
Superior2Yes

Each quality tier is strictly better than the one above it. The Superior version only recolors the outfit and reuses the buff effect on the Standard version. Outfit pieces within a given tier are balanced to provide roughly equivalent buffs. Those that provide the same Set Bonus synergize strongly with each other and allow you to specialize your playstyle around a specific element of gameplay, like stealth or explosives.

You can find outfit gear pieces as loot from chests, purchase them from vendors, receive them as mission rewards, or for fully maxing out your reputation with a Syndicate. All of the sets you obtain as individual pieces from chests and vendors come in 2 variants with different buffs and colors but contribute to the same Set Bonus, if applicable.

You can replace the visual appearance of any outfit item with another one. This feature is commonly known as transmog, though it’s only referred to as Appearance in Star Wars Outlaws. This game doesn’t allow you any specific modifications beyond the simple swap of one item’s appearance with another.

Disruptor Set Visual Overview

The Superior Disruptor set can be obtained by all players in Star Wars Outlaws. It features cold colors like blue, teal, and purple that extend into grays and black with red accents. The clothing style is reminiscent of the pre-Empire period when the prototype clothing was made.

The Disruptor Set matches the Iridescent Blaster Coating, Republic (!) Paint Job, Nix’s Blue Feeler Wraps, and Cobalt Finishes. If you have the Ultimate Edition, I highly recommend that Nix use the Cyborg Implants instead.

Disruptor Set Stats, Set Bonus, and Close-ups

The Disruptor Set is unlike any other in the game. It buffs your Ion damage directly, so the Ion Module is a central part of unique playstyle. The Surge Configuration that you get at the end of the Viper quest on Akiva is vastly superior to the base Burst Configuration.

The core idea is that you stun enemies with the first hit of Ion damage and defeat them with the second. The set bonus is what makes that second hit lethal, so any source of Ion damage, whether it be the Ion shot from your blaster, grenades (which now deal Ion damage), or Concussive Smoke Bomb, will defeat any enemy, no matter how strong.

There aren’t a whole lot of Charms that directly interact with the Disruptor set, but I recommend using the following charms:

  • Nightsnake Scale Charm
  • Frostfire Crystal Shard
  • Vintage Chrono
  • Ashiga Clan Crest
  • Pyke Syndicate Crest

Where to find the Disruptor outfit

You can obtain the entire Disruptor Set from a chest in an old Separatist research facility just outside of Sashin in the Karaba Foothills on Akiva.

Now, it’s not so simple as just going there and looting the chest. The CIS research facility is locked by a blast door, and as you might expect, they aren’t gonna give away a full set for free. Unlocking that door will take quite a bit of work.

You must obtain all 16 of the Separatist Datadiscs (Transmissions Collectibles) as part of the Separatist Transmissions Intel Chain along with the Decryption Module from MT-7, The Veteran. Once you’ve decrypted all of the Transmissions, you’ll be able to unlock the blast doors and get inside.
