Crimson Desert released a feature with the voice actors who give life to the three playable characters. And we know all of them from other favorite franchises.
Kliff (Alec Newman)
You probably already know the first one, Kliff, a member of the Greymanes. He is voiced by Alec Newman, who you might remember from his role in Cyberpunk 2077 as Adam Smasher.
In the short video, Newman describes Kliff as someone with a strong moral compass, stoic, someone of few words, and loyal to his family and friends. It may be a little too soon to make comparisons, but the way he describes him reminds me a lot of Aragorn. If that statement is accurate, I think we’ll definitely become fans of Kliff.
Kliff has access to the most weapons out of all three characters. He is probably one of those “good at everything but not great at anything specific” characters. Kliff can carry a sword and a shield, a greatsword, a spear, dual-wield blades, and a longsword.
Oonkga (Stewart Scudamore)
Next is Oonkga, voiced by Stewart Scudamore, who played Calgar in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. Ookga is an orc who happens to be one of Kliff’s closest allies. As it’s usual with this species, Oonkga is loyal to his people and an incredible fighter. Scudamore describes Oonkga as a “philosophical” character, which makes this interesting because orks are often the exact opposite.
Even if this is the case, Oonkga still fills the heavy-armor bruiser-fighter archetype. An educated orc who can fight with heavy weapons? That’s a very unique combination! Oonkga can wield a two-handed axe, a large hammer, a pickaxe for mining, and a wrist-mounted crossbow that fires incendiary bolts.
Damiane (Rebecca Hanssen)
Last but not least is Damiane, voiced by Rebecca Hanssen, who played Queen Meve of Lyria in The Witcher series and Eve in Stellar Blade. Damiane is quick, agile, and lethal. Providing a different option for players who prefer this playstyle.
Hanssen describes Damiane as headstrong, down-to-earth, and a fierce fighter. She might not be as physically intimidating as Oonkga, but she always stands up for what she believes. Damiane’s arsenal includes a claymore sword, a musket, a flintlock pistol and rapier and buckler.
