The Roots of Truth is one of Crimson Desert’s many Abyss puzzles. Find out how to reach this section of the Abyss and how to solve the puzzle within to claim an Abyss Artifact in this guide.
How to reach the Roots of Truth
The Root of Truth is only accessible through the Skybridge that links it to the Chaos Forest. So that section of the Abyss must be completed first. From Chaos Forest, we’ll need to follow the Skybridge.
This one is made of platforms that pop up as we cross, and some will crumble and collapse under us.
Then once we reach the Teleporter, we’ll be in the Roots of Truth.
How to solve the Roots of Truth Puzzle
First things first, we’ll want to get to the Abyss Nexus. Start by climbing the nearby roots to the elevated platform.
Then, we’ll use Aerial Force Palm to gain height and comfortably glide across the gap to the Nexus.
From the Nexus, We’ll beable to see a Waterfall in front of us. Head down and next to the Waterfall, then wind up a Stab to get through.
On the other side of the waterfall, follow the path and head upwards.
Once up top, we’ll be greeted by some traps.
We can pull the power out to temporarily stop them and get across as one option to get through.
It’s easier to just glide over the small section to the right. We’d have to repower it later anyway.
On the other side, we can follow the stairs to a room with grates and moving lasers.
If we opt for this route, we’ll need to climb onto a grate, grip onto it with the Resist option, and Force Palm it to flip to the other side. This needs to be done three times while avoiding the lasers.
However, there is a much easier route we can use with Aerial Force Palm to the right, which ignores the lasers entirely.
Head up and climb as high as the platforms allow before using Aerial Force Palm to gain height while climbing the wall to the left.
Regardless of the path chosen, we’ll end up next to this caged Power Source.
We can grab the Power Source from outside as shown, or flip ourselves inside with Force Palm. Either way, we’ll want to move this power source on top of the platform above it. This allows us to reach in from the hole above this room and pull it out.
On the opposite side of this platform is the place it goes. We’ll want to put it in place, but do not Force Palm it just yet.
Instead, after getting it in place, we’ll want to head down to the waterfall across the way. Be careful as the Waterfall and the currents here will try to send us tumbling back down to Pywel, forcing us to use the Nexus to get back and start over.
Once past the Waterfall, follow the path to the right and it will lead out onto a root.
Follow the Root all the way around to the back of the caged Power Source, use Axiom Force to Pull it out.
Carefully maneuver it all the way back the way we just came, and push it through the Waterfall and as high up as we can manage.
Stab back through the waterfall, again being careful of the currents here. Force Palm to the Platform above and grab the Power Source. We can grab it from the opposite ledge, as shown below, to help make it reachable from the other side.
Get it in place and ready to Force Palm, but do not Force Palm it yet.
Head back across the gap, and we can finally Force Palm the second into place. But we’ll need to quickly cross the gap again, where we can now Force Palm the third one into place, activating the final Button.
Climb on up to it and give it Force Palm to activate it. Climb all the way up to claim the Abyss Artifact awaiting us.
Activate the Root to Truth Skybridge
Heading just around the obelisk as usual, there’s another Skybridge here, this one will lead us to another new Abyss Area, the Precipices of Truth.
Upon activating the Skybridge, we’ll activate some moving platforms. We can politely wait for them or use Aerial Force Palm to gain height and clear the gaps ahead of us.
This second section, while clearable by the same Aerial Force Palm and glide method, has a different approach we can take as well, which consists of running from platform to platform as they cross, but tends to be riskier.
As we reach the Teleporter, there’s one last detour to make to our right.
Climb onto the tree to the right, specifically the middle section.
Face toward the other small island above, and use Aerial Force Palm to gain height, then glide over to it to find a Treasure Chest.
This chest contains some extra loot: a Faded Abyss Artifact and a Fortification II Abyss Gear.
Glide back to the Teleporter, and we can take it to reach the Precipices of Truth, as there’s nothing left to get here.
