The Ice Cradle is one of Crimson Desert’s many Abyss Puzzles. Find out how to reach this section of the Abyss and how to solve the puzzle to claim the Abyss Artifact reward.
How to reach the Ice Cradle
You can access the Courtyard of Precision after the completion of the Obsession and Madness Quest in Chapter IV. You also need to complete the Altar of Solitude first, as it is linked directly to it.
Important: If you don’t have at least 5 Ice Resistance, you will receive the Stamina debuff.
How to solve the puzzle
After activating the Abyss Nexus, you need to walk for a few meters. There are two ways you can go, right or left. The room on the left is blocked by a barrier, so you have to go to the right side.
Take the stairs and follow the path. There is a small entrance that leads to an icy cave. You will start hearing a melody that gets louder the closer you get to the main puzzle.
This puzzle requires you to direct light towards these lights. Each one makes a different sound. The idea is that you reproduce the melody heard in the room. They are numbered one through five from left to right.
The correct order is: 5 → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 1 → 1
Get back to the cave and find your way out. There is a hole at the top; you can jump and use three Aerial Force Palms to get out that way. If this is too hard, simply fast-travel to the Abyss Nexus. Or, you can back track through the same path you came here.
Go to the room that was initially blocked with a barrier. There is an energized battery floating in the air. It can be easy to miss because of the lighting and colors of the environment.
Grab it with Axiom Force and place it in the socket that’s in the corner. You can use Force Current or Jump + Aerial Force Palm. Go out and walk towards the big button.
Before pressing it, you need to connect the conduit that’s a few steps away.
Climb and use Force Palm to bring the power online. Now you can go and collect the reward.
Reward
The puzzle is now complete. Go ahead and claim the Abyss Artifact reward.
Before leaving, make sure to grab the hidden chest located across the Skybridge gate, on the right side. There is a shard of ice that stands out from the rest. Hit it to break it and loot the chest containing the Haste III Abyss Gear.
