George Lucas and Sigourney Weaver receive France’s Legion of Honour

On July 15, French President Emmanuel Macron honoured five people in a ceremony held at the Élysée Palace in Paris. George Lucas, Sigourney Weaver, Claude Lelouch, Jodie Foster, and Chris Meledandri were the five people who received the Legion of Honour insignia. Macron recognized Star Wars not only as a film but as Lucas’ mythology.

“Thanks to this film and the entire saga, you offered a new generation a territory of escape, a dream space where everything became possible again. You have become a great Jedi Knight of cinema, and today you become a Knight of the Legion of Honor,” Macron said.

“For your pioneering use of technology in the service of cinema, for your visionary imagination and for this force that, for decades, has continued to inspire wonder in young and old, and for your love of France, I am extremely proud to present you today with the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur.”

Sideshow reveals new Darth Revan collectible

Both Revan statues share the same pose, come with his signature red and purple lightsabers, and include an alternate head sculpt that shows Revan’s scarred face. The main differences are the slight differences in size and the fact that the Premium features light-up flames on the base as well as illumination in Darth Revan’s lightsabers.
