Community Topics
- Gearing in Galactic Command – Bioware is fully aware of the complaints from the community about the RNG in Command Crates and gear drops. Galactic Rank and Crates aim to simplify the gearing by removing all kinds of commendations, crystals and other items tradeable for gear.
- Gear will be determined by Discipline/Role – Bioware listened to the feedback and now the crates reward gear based on the current Discipline!
- Rate of earning Command Crates – The aim from the team is that an average pace for a standard player is to earn a Crate every hour or so. Playing harder difficulty content will result in even faster crate-drops from the new system. The idea is to actually gear up FASTER than the current system.
- Weekly cap for Command XP – it is there, but will be very high. Only exists to catch and prevent eventual exploits.

Dark vs Light Overview
- Character alignment is different system than the Dark vs Light from Galactic Command.
- By participating in Galactic Command (any activity in the game) you are earning Dark or Light points on a global per server base.
- Highlighted activities will grant you extra points.
- Bioware will provide periodic updates on the progress of the war.
- The battle ends when one side hits Dark 5 or Light 5.
- The victory state kicks in after the interval has ended and will last for about an hour or two (still in testing), offering benefits for both sides of the war.
- The events will be frantic and fast. Regular players will experience several wins or loses in one day of playing the game.
- Win and lose streaks affect the on-going war. If the war is uneven, Biwoare’s system will help/boost points earned for the underdog side in the next round.
- The system relies on the personal character’s alignment. It isn’t about Republic vs Empire. Your personal alignment and decisions will determine.
- Bosses will spawn around the galaxy when the war is won. Random social events on the planets will cause players to team up and defeat in teams of 8 to 16 random special bosses. Spawning will be random and will offer rewards for both sides. These special bosses will only be available during the time of victory (the previously mentioned 1-2 hours) and they will spawn in both PvP and PvE instances.
- The Dark vs Light part is available for any level players. Sub 70 characters will earn everything that isn’t related to Galactic Command.
The Rewards
Victory side rewards:
- Access to new rewards on the vendor on the Fleet, including exclusive mounts, mini-pets and more.
- Bonus to all Command Experience Points earned.
- Can stack with the daily highlighted activity.
- Special Light or Dark Side tokens each time you gain a Command Rank.
- The winning side can still go and defeat their own bosses spawning randomly to prevent the other side from earning the extra rewards.
Defeat side rewards:
- Bonus to your side points gained.
- Defeat the other side spoecial bosses for extra rewards and tokens for the alignment of your chosen side.
Stream/Blog Plans

- 17.11 – New planets and Story insights with Charles

Q&A
- Gear from Crates is BoP, everything else is not and can be transferred.
- KOTET will have 9 chapters over all. All available at launch. Group and repeatable content will be focus for the team in 2017.
- Eric Musco admited a mistake in the live stream plans. One of the dates, apparently, is the Thanksgiving holiday for the USA citizens and that date will be changed to a day earlier or day later.
- Still working on exact way of converting existing commendations for 5.0 before they are removed from the game. Don’t rush to spend them on trash items just to get rid of them. More news to come soon, it’s still being tested and debated by the Dev team.
