This SWTOR Ahsoka Tano Build Guide is designed to be as faithful to the lore and authentic as possible within the constraints of the game. You’ll find everything you need to know in order to create a toon in SWTOR and play like Ahsoka Tano. Her outfit and appearance are mostly based on Rosario Dawson’s portrayal as an older Ahsoka in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
Note: This build is not optimal for endgame content and should only be used when playing alone or role-playing with friends. It is beginner-friendly and does not require you to be at level cap to play it.
Physical Appearance
Ahsoka is an adult Togruta female with blue eyes, orange skin, maroon lipstick, white tattoos, and blue and white striped Montrals and Lekku.
Here are the physical appearance parameters I recommend using for Ahsoka Tano. SWTOR doesn’t offer any real way to affect the amount of aging for Togruta, so this is really the only way to go no matter which era you’re shooting for. Lipstick is also not offered, unfortunately.
There isn’t any era-appropriate head jewelry for Ahsoka either, and because Togrutas can’t wear helmets, you can’t use the Expatriate’s Headband on a Togruta! Thankfully, there is a jewelry option that looks pretty similar to what she wears during the Clone Wars.

Outfits and Weapons
With the release of the official Ahsoka Armor Set to the Cartel Market, we now have two outfit options. Vulkk prefers the original outfit I came up with, but the Expatriate’s armor set is significantly more accurate, so we have decided to leave both appearances in this guide, with the primary being the Expatriate’s armor set.
Expatriate’s Armor Set with Variations
The Expatriate’s armor set is a pretty faithful recreation of Ahsoka’s outfit from her live action show in most respects. However, Ahsoka has both a dark and a light version of her outfit, sometimes wears a cloak/poncho, and has a few differences in the models of the armor pieces on her extremities. All of these appearances are are achievable in-game.
The Tempest Warden’s Breastplate is an excellent alternative if you want Ahsoka to wear her cloak/poncho. Otherwise, the Expatriate’s Vest is fine. The expa
In addition, I find that using Advanced Mauve Crystals in her sabers helps to blend the lightsaber color better with the blue VFX while still retaining mostly pure while look.

Mainhand | Expatriate’s Lightsaber
Offhand | Expatriate’s Shoto Lightsaber
Crystal (Alternative) | Mauve Crystal |
I recommend using a Black and Black Dye Module on Ahsoka’s vest so it looks more like a solid piece and fixes the overemphasized color difference between her vest and her pants. Model-wise, the Gloves, Bracers, and Boots lean more into the ronin vibe, featuring lamellar plates rather than the more solid pieces we see her wear in the show.
Unfortunately, there is no dye that will get you the colors you need on those pieces when using the Black and Black Dye, and unifying the entire outfit will remove the contrast on those the solid armor, so I recommend only unifying the Chest, Pants, and Belt.
Expatriate (Light Variation + Modifications)

Offhand | Expatriate’s Shoto Lightsaber
Crystal (Alternative) | Mauve Crystal |
I believe the Wasteland Crusader Gauntlets combined with any low-profile Bracer and either the Timberland or Forest Scout Boots are more faithful to Ahsoka’s appearance. With the light outfit, you can use these more accurate pieces without compromising on color.
The only drawback is that the Winter Scout Gray and White Dye Module is the only dye in the game that manages to effectively blend the black back of her vest with the rest of her outfit while preventing indifidual segments from looking weird.
Why is this a drawback? The Winter Scout Dyes are pretty rare. They were only on the CM for a short period before being taken down, and only showed up a for a few months again after that, so supply is quite limited.
Original Custom Ahsoka Outfit
This is my original recommendation. It combines pieces from numerous different sets. All of the armor pieces are Cartel Market items, but it’s unlikely that all will be available for sale on the Cartel Market at the same time, so you’ll probably have better luck purchasing them from the GTN or directly from another player.

Boots | Freelance Hunter’s Boots
Dye | Black and Black Dye Module
Mainhand | Derelict Lightsaber
Offhand | Reforged Derelict Lightsaber
Crystals | Advanced White Crystal |
The Derelict Saber is a close match for Ahsoka’s main green sabers from the show. However, Ahsoka uses a shoto for her ofhand. You can use the original Derelict Saber in the mainhand and the Reforged for the offhand to at least show different-sized hilts, but the blade length is the same.
I also want to note that the Sith Cultist’s Lower Robes look extremely similar to the Freelance Hunter’s Greaves, so those are absolutely worth considering if you can find them at a lower price.
Story, Combat Style, and Gearing Choices
This section will focus on key choices you’ll have to make in order to end up with a playstyle and story that fits Ahsoka’s character.
Origin Story
Ahsoka Tano was a Jedi Padawan during the Clone Wars and left the Order shortly before the war ended. Neither of the Jedi origin stories fit Ahsoka very well, though I think there are significantly more parallels with the Jedi Knight storyline.
Combat Styles, Disciplines, and Ability Tree Choices
In combat, Ahsoka nimbly weaves together dazzling flurries of lightsaber swings using a pair of lightsabers. She fights fairly aggressively while being extremely fast and acrobatic, though she’s no slouch when it comes to defense either, being one of the few to survive Order 66 thanks to some extra training with the 501st Legion.
Canonically, Ahsoka uses Jar’Kai, a lightsaber form dedicated to wielding two sabers at once. Unfortunately, that lightsaber form is not used by any discipline in SWTOR, and honestly seems to be its own separate thing, so we can’t use it to inform our decision.
I imagine many of you would expect me to recommend Combat Sentinel, which utilizes Form II: Ataru and is known for being speedy and agile, but the animations for Watchman Sentinel abilities are the best match by far to Ahsoka’s fighting style.
Many of Watchman Sentinel’s attacks deal less damage up-front but deal a lot of damage over time through lightsaber burns.
Build Essentials: Transcendence
Burning Center
Intercessor
Force Stasis
Most of the Watchman-specific choices aren’t less essential than the discipline itself because the base animations of so many attacks match Ahsoka’s moves pretty well. The build options I recommend are primarily focused on improving mobility and the damage dealt by lightsaber attacks.
Legendary Implants and Tactical Item
Ahsoka is pretty aggressive in her lightsaber duels, so I recommend using implants and a tactical that directly boost her damage dealt. You gain access to legendary implants at level 80 and tactical items at level 75.
Fearless Victor
The Fearless Victor implant makes your melee attacks deal more damage for a short period of time after spending Focus, your class resource, on a melee attack.
Berserker’s Call
The Berserker’s Call implant makes you deal more damage for a short time after activating Zen.
Spiteful Saber
The Spiteful Saber tactical increases the damage dealt by Cauterize and makes it so dealing damage with Slash sustains the lightsaber burn effect applied by Cauterize.
As a side note, the Grit Teeth tactical is an acceptable alternative if you’ve gotten it for one of the other RP guides, though I do think Spiteful Saber is more appropriate for Ahsoka specifically since Cauterize and Slash almost look like they were taken directly from the Clone Wars TV show.
For more information on gearing, check out my guide on Which Mods to Buy from Hyde and Zeek. For an Ahsoka Tano build, I recommend gearing as a DPS, which means you’ll want to focus on increasing stats that boost damage output like Accuracy, Critical, and Alacrity.
Key Abilities
In this section, I’ll be going over specific Watchman Sentinel abilities that match Ahsoka’s fighting style, including lightsaber swings and defensive maneuvers. To be clear, this is not a complete list of all Watchman Sentinel abilities, I am only shining a spotlight on specific attacks that will make you look or feel like you’re playing as Ahsoka.
Offensive Abilities
These are attacks that deal damage to one or more enemies or boost the damage dealt by another attack. Usually, attacks cannot be used at the same time as one another, though Watchman Sentinel (and this particular build) will have you using some abilities at the same time. Most of the attacks cost Focus, which is the Sentinel’s class resource, and have cooldown, both of which prevent them from being spammed.
Cauterize
Unlocked at level 35
Cauterize makes you do a front flip that ends with you slamming both sabers down on your opponent. It doesn’t deal a whole lot of damage up front, but they do get burned by your lightsaber, causing them to take damage over time. The damage dealt by Cauterize is increased by the Spiteful Saber tactical.
Slash
Unlocked at level 1
This basic lightsaber flurry looks almost identical to how Ahsoka fights in the Clone Wars. It deals moderate damage to a single enemy and has no cooldown, but costs 2 Focus per activation. It is weaker than some of your other attacks, but it is boosted by the Spiteful Saber tactical because it sustains the lightsaber burn effect applied by Cauterize, causing you to deal more damage with each swing if you hit something affected by that burn.
Force Leap
Unlocked at level 1
Ahsoka frequently used the Force to empower her jumps and Force Leap is the SWTOR equivalent. It causes your character to leap at your target and slash with both sabers upon landing. The SWTOR version isn’t quite as devastating as it was on Malachor V when she leaped at a preoccupied Vader, slicing open his mask and enabling Kanan and Ezra to escape while preventing him from getting the Sith Holocron, but it’s still valuable.
Force Leap doesn’t deal too much damage and cannot be used if you’re too close to your target, but it does generate 3 Focus and interrupts your target’s current cast or channel. It also generates 2 Centering and has a second charge thanks to the Intercessor ability tree buff.
Merciless Slash
Unlocked at level 47
Merciless Slash is your biggest hit, you’re putting everything you’ve got to swing both sabers at your opponent at the same time. The overall animation is fairly similar to some slashes Ahsoka does, though I don’t think she’s quite as dramatic as this attack is. The ability also makes your target take more damage from burn effects and its cooldown is reduced if you use it frequently.
Zealous Strike
Unlocked at level 7
Zealous Strike looks similar to Merciless Slash, but it doesn’t deal a lot of damage on its own and instead grants a whopping 6 Focus, enough to fill up half your bar, and makes your opponent take a little bit more damage from all your other lightsaber swings for quite a while. Use it whenever your Focus bar is less than half full.
Blade Barrage
Unlocked at level 10
Blade Barrage deals a decent amount of damage over an acrobatic flurry of hits. Unlike the attacks I’ve mentioned so far, the animation isn’t as exact of a match, but the overall attack is very much her style as she swings her sabers while spinning through the air. Compared to your other attacks, Blade Barrage has a longer cooldown, though it doesn’t cost any Focus.
Strike
Unlocked at level 1
Strike is your most basic lightsaber swing. It deals a small amount of damage to a single enemy and has no cooldown. In lieu of dealing more damage, it generates 2 Focus instead of costing any, so you are always able to use it assuming you’re in range.
Overload Saber
Unlocked at level 60
Jedi are rarely ever shown doing it on screen, but they can modify various attributes of their lightsaber’s blade, including things like length and intensity. Overload Saber does what it says on the tin, it overloads your saber, causing your next 3 lightsaber swings to burn their target. This burn applies alongside that of Cauterize, likely representing strikes hitting in different places or the burns being of varying degrees.
Since the attack doesn’t have much in the way of its own animation and can be activated at the same time as your other attacks, effectively increasing your damage dealt in the background, I don’t see a reason not to include it for Ahsoka.
Zen and
Valorous Call
Unlocked at levels 15 and 43
Zen makes you go into a state of Zen, causing your lightsaber burns to temporarily automatically critically hit, generating 4 Focus, and making you deal more damage in general for a short time.
It can be activated at the same time as your other attacks, but you can’t enter this state all the time. You must become fully Centered first, and you become Centered primarily by spending Focus and critically hitting with your lightsaber burns.
Valorous call just makes you become Centered immediately, allowing you to go into a state of Zen whenever you like, though Valorous Call can’t be used very often.
Defensive Abilities
All of these abilities can be activated at the same time as other attacks and offer some sort of temporary boost to your survivability. Their cooldowns are significantly longer than that of most attacks.
Saber Ward
Unlocked at level 15
Saber Ward basically lets you defend against attacks like a Jedi. It increases your chance to completely dodge and/or deflect weapon attacks including things like lightsaber swings and blaster shots while also letting your lightsaber block some of the damage from non-weapon attacks like Force abilities and non-blaster technology like explosives.
The Zealous Ward ability tree buff are immune to some controlling effects for the first half of Saber Ward and get healed whenever you get attacked for the entire duration. I don’t think this buff is essential to an Ahsoka build, but it fits better than the alternatives.
Force Kick
Unlocked at level 19
Ahsoka often incorporated kicks alongside her lightsaber flurries to disrupt her opponent. Force Kick doesn’t deal any damage, but interrupts the target’s current cast with a kick and prevents it from being used again for a short time. It can be used at the same time as your other abilities, so be sure to use Force Kick if you see your opponent casting something. Longer casts tend to be more dangerous, especially if the ability has a foreboding name.
Force Camouflage
Unlocked at level 31
Force Camouflage doesn’t last very long and ends as soon as you activate an attack, but it offers a bunch of potent effects while it’s active. The most notable of these effects is turning you invisible, allowing you to sneak past or up to an enemy. It’s reminiscent of how stealthily she took out all of the Magistrate’s guards at the walled capital city of Corvus.
If you want to lean into this fighting style, consider using the Defel Spliced Genes tactical instead of Spiteful Saber. It slightly reduces the cooldown of Force Camouflage and increasingly boosts the damage dealt by your next lightsaber swing the longer that the ability remains active.
Force Camo also increases your movement speed, reduces your damage taken, removes all cleansable debuffs, and makes you immune to all controlling effects.
Transcendence
Obtainable at level 27
Transcendence applies multiple effects including increasing your movement speed significantly, purging effects that impair your mobility, and slightly increasing your chance to dodge or deflect weapon attacks. Its cooldown is pretty short, so use it whenever you’d like to move faster.
Force Stasis
Obtainable at level 68
When a battle is over, Jedi often opt to subdue their opponent with the Force rather than end their life. Ahsoka did this to Maul after their duel on Mandalore instead of letting him fall. Force Stasis makes you lift and hold your opponent with the power of the Force, preventing them doing anything for a few seconds, dealing a small amount of damage, and generating 3 Focus over the duration.
