CD Projekt Red announced the release date of Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion, called Phantom Liberty, and Keanu Reeves presented the flashy and action-packed trailer!

Moments ago, during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 event Keanu Reeves promoted the brand new official trailer for Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion.
Phantom Liberty releases on September 26th, 2023. This is a massive full-scale expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, allowing you to continue V’s story, meet old and new characters and explore a previously unavailable part of Night City – Dogtown.
The highly promoted new character that V will meet and interact with is Idris Elba’s secret agent Solomon Reed. Keanu seemed genuinely excited about “sharing the screen” with Idris for this expansion.
As previously teased, in Phantom Liberty, you will be able to explore a previously inaccessible region of Night City – Bugtown. This is a new area in the southwestern part of the city, in Pacifica.
The trailer opens with V holding her shaking hand, worrying about the fate that awaits her as a result of the “bomb ticking” in her head.
Literally, the first words out of V’s mouth in the trailer are “Johny, there’s nothing that can stop that. I’m dying.” while Johnny is pacing nervously as they fly toward Night City’s center.
At this very moment, V gets a call. Songbird is a new mysterious character who can save her life somehow but will ask something in return. CDPR put the phrase “Freedom has a price” front and center in their promotional materials about the expansion so far.
V’s main task is to save Myers, the president of the New United States of America (NUSA). This expansion is known to be a spy-thriller and we are to expect story twists and surprises. Expect a warzone in Dogtown!
Phantom Liberty Pre-Order and Bonuses
Phantom Liberty is now available for pre-order. There’s plenty of time until September 26th and CD Projekt Red has a habit of delaying release dates, so you don’t have to rush to pre-purchase it.
The expansion is available on all modern platforms: PC (GOG, Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Phantom Liberty will not be available for the older generations of PlayStation and Xbox.
Phantom Liberty costs €30 or the equivalent in your local currency. For example, in USD it is ~$32. This is the price for just the expansion. You will need to own the base game Cyberpunk 2077 to play Phantom Liberty.
You can purchase a bundle containing Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty for €56.
For those who pre-order the expansion, there is a bonus. You will get in-game access to the Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante” when the expansion launches!

PC System Requirements
Cyberpunk 2077 released in December 2020. Much has changed since then and more or less this reflects on the new and updated system requirements for Phantom Liberty.
To fully enjoy the visuals of the new expansion on a PC, you will need quite a beast. Take a look at the table below:
UPDATE: After CD PROJEKT RED revealed the exact release date timings for Phantom Liberty, we have them covered as well. Console players will be able to preload the game two days ahead of the midnight local time launch. PC players will be able to jump in Dogtown and the new story at September 26th, 1 AM CEST
