SWTOR Copero Stronghold Guide

Siow by Siow|

The Copero Villa SWTOR Stronghold radiates calm and class at the same time. It is part of Galactic Seasons 6: “Building a Foundation”. This guide will explain how to unlock it, what you will find in each room, and whether it is worth the time and resources it will cost you!

When SWTOR 7.4.1 was first announced, we learned about the Copero Villa Stronghold coming with that patch. Now that it’s officially out, we can unlock it and take a look around. This stronghold is closely tied to Galactic Season 6: “Building a Foundation” as you’ll need to make progress in the Galactic Season track to unlock more rooms.

You’ll unlock the Copero Stronghold after completing the first level of Galactic Season 6 with the Copero Cache. This cache grants you the Copero Villa Deed and the Galactic Seasons 6: An Introduction mission item.

Once you use the Copero Villa Deed, you can enter the stronghold and gain access to the Villa Exterior and Central Villa. The Copero Villa includes the following expansions (unlockable rooms/areas):

The West Wing and East Wing rooms are unlocked after completing missions gained using a mission unlock item on the free track of Galactic Season 6. You will unlock these at levels 15 and 40 of the free track and mission specifics will be listed in their respective areas later in this guide.

Villa Exterior and Central Villa

This portion of the stronghold is unlocked with the first level of the Galactic Season 6 track and is available to Free-to-Play players and subscribers. You get a good chunk to work with, but it’ll feel incomplete without further progress with the season. This will come in time, but for now let’s take a look around!

When you enter the Copero Villa, you’ll spawn on the landing pad. A path to the left takes you to a small beach with a cove, while the path to the right leads to the Villa proper.

The beach doesn’t have many hooks while the cove offers a Starship-sized decoration hook. The beach is rather small and can’t accommodate beach-specific decorations such as the beach towels or beach umbrellas due to the lack of Floor-Covering hooks.

If you take the path to the right, you’ll reach the Copero Villa’s patio which contains the front entrance. There’s a fair bit you can do here and you’ll also have access to two Floor Covering hooks.

Going inside will lead you to an antechamber in the Central Villa’s first floor. In the southeast corner of the antechamber you’ll find a Gran named Vagol Oss. We’ll look at his role at the end of this section, for now let’s continue with the tour.

Going past the antechamber leads you to the Central Villa’s room with the staircase. All the rooms in here are locked and will require different requirements to unlock. The room downstairs leads to the Underground Docks, while the rooms upstairs lead to the West Wing, East Wing, and Outdoor Terrace.

Behind the staircase, you can find a small nook! There’s nothing particularly special about it, but having a nook is a nice touch and would be a great spot for a sculpture or display.

To gain access to future NPCs and missions for this stronghold once you get further into the season, you’ll need to first complete Vagol Oss’s missions. He will send you to gather information and materials for his benefactors. Once you complete his missions, you can start the other missions once you reach levels 15 and 40 in the season.

A Commemorative Introduction

The first mission will require you to gather data of significant battles from recent history, so you’ll need to complete three flashpoints to gather this information.

You’ll need to complete the following three flashpoints:

Once you complete these missions, you can return to Vogal Oss to turn it in and start the next portion of the mission where you’ll need to go around the galaxy and gather various libations suitable to the tastes of Vogal’s benefactors.

The Mek-Sha Rotworm Rotgut can be found in the Slugfall Cantina on Mek-Sha. You can fast travel or take a taxi to Slugfall Harbor to access the cantina. Once inside, make a right and speak to Kah-Eem Yan’ant tan to purchase the Mek-Sha Rotworm Rotgut.

The Alderaanian Honey Brandy can be found at the Shining Star Cantina for Republic characters, and at the House Thul Cantina for Imperial characters.

The final libation you require is the Twin Sun’s Plum Wine. This can be found on Tatooine at the Anchorhead Cantina for Republic characters, and the Siltshift Cantina for Imperial characters. These are found in Anchorhead and Mos Ila for Republic and Imperial characters respectively.

Once you have all the libations, return to Vagol Oss to turn them in and complete the mission. Once you gain access to the level 15 and 40 season rewards, you can start the missions to gain access to the west and east wings of the Copero Villa.

Outdoor Terrace

The Outdoor Terrace is only available to SWTOR subscribers during Galactic Seasons 6 as the level 42 subscriber track reward. This unlocks the room at the front of the Central Villa’s upstairs area and places you on the roof of the antechamber.

Underground Docks

The Underground Docks can be purchased with 3,000,000 credits or 600 Cartel Coins. If you’re at the end game, it’s not too difficult to get that many credits, so it’s much more economical to unlock it with credits over Cartel Coins. When the door is unlocked, you’ll be led down a hallway that leads to an elevator that goes to the underground dock.

If you jump out the dock’s opening and make a left, you can reach a small beach with three large hooks and seven medium hooks. You don’t even need to unlock the Underground Docks to access this area, it’s just a nice little beach spot that still lacks Floor-Covering hooks for beach towels and umbrellas.

West Wing Guest Room

The West Wing Guest Room can be unlocked after completing the mission Galactic Season 6: The Observation Room. This mission is accessible once you have claimed the level 15 reward(s) of Galactic Season 6’s free track. Details on how to complete that mission will be featured later on in this section, so let’s look at the guest room in the meantime. Going through the door in the Central Villa will lead you up a small staircase into the West Wing Guest Room.

Once you’re upstairs, you’ll find the room with two locked doors. The north door leads to the West Wing Lookout and can be unlocked with 2,125,000 credits or 425 Cartel Coins. The west door will lead to the Western Exterior and Suite which requires its key gained from level 94 of the Subscriber’s Galactic Season 6 track.

The roof is raised in the center of the room giving it a more open and airy feel compared to most other rooms in this stronghold.

How to Unlock: The Observation Room Mission

To unlock the West Wing Guest Room in the Copero Stronghold, you’ll need to complete the mission Galactic Seasons 6: The Observation Room. You can gain access to this mission through the level 15 Galactic Season 6 free track rewards, but you must first complete the mission Galactic Seasons 6: A Commemorative Introduction.

Once you start the mission, talk to Vogal Oss and he’ll introduce you to Cay Teenu. Afterwards, you can find her upstairs where you’ll need to talk to her to continue the mission.

Your first task is to scan various animals from Tatooine, Alderaan, and Rishi. They are as follows:

  • Scan 5 Banthas on Tatooine
  • Scan 3 Nerfs on Alderaan
  • Scan 6 Orobirds on Rishi

When you reach these various planets, you’ll need to refer to your map for areas that will have suitable wildlife to scan. The item to scan will appear in your Missions pane and your Mission Items inventory, target the creature and use the item to scan them. They have a short debuff that won’t allow them to be scanned again, you’re free to wait off the debuff and rescan them.

A bundle of banthas can be found at (x, y) 1300, -860 in the Jundland on Tatooine. There’s a Tusken camp where you can find a pen of 6 banthas waiting to be scanned.

You can find a nest of nerfs at (x, y) 1820, 604 in the Juran Mountains on Alderaan. You can fast travel to House Alde and it’ll be a short trip south. Get those scans because it’s nerfs or nothing!

Lastly, you can find an orrery of orobirds at (x, y) 235, -1947 north of Rishii Village on Rishi. Don’t let the fact that they’re fledglings dissuade you, they’re more than able to be scanned and there are 6 in this area.

Once you’ve scanned these animals, return to your Copero stronghold and talk to Cay to turn in the mission. You’ll find that her mind is preoccupied with her former padawan, Yshall, who has returned to his homeworld of Nar Shaddaa. Your next task is to check in on him as Nar Shaddaa isn’t exactly the nicest place in the galaxy.

To find and help Ysall, head to Nar Shaddaa and travel to Shadow Town to access the High Security Lockdown sector. Go to NetSec Access at (x, y) 1824, 3240 and you’ll find Yshal hiding behind a crate. A Gang Mauler and Gang Duelist will appear, defeat them then target Yshal and give them the comlink. Return to the Copero stronghold and turn in the quest to Cay, and you’ll unlock the West Wing Guest Room!

He’ll be hiding behind the crate to the left. The image will be updated to feature Yshal later.

Western Exterior and Suite

After unlocking the West Wing Guest Room, you’ll be able to unlock the Western Exterior and Suite once you gain the level 94 reward for the subscriber’s galactic season track. The exterior is an elegant path that leads to the suite.

While not the most easily accessible areas, you can even find hooks on the rooves of the West Wing Guest Room and West Wing Suite. You can zoom out to view these and click the hooks to add something to them.

The West Wing Suite is a small room that has a door leading to a patio outside. There aren’t that many floor hooks in the suite, so you’ll need to be creative with how you space out your decorations.

West Wing Lookout

After unlocking the West Wing Guest Room, you can unlock the West Wing Lookout for 2,125,000 credits or 425 Cartel Coins. Once unlocked, you’ll be led through a hallway that leads to an elevator that goes to the West Wing Lookout.

Once you go up the elevator, you’ll enter a small room with a door that leads to a balcony (that’s rather easy to fall off of), and a door that leads outside.

Going outside will lead you down an outdoor trail that leads to a gazebo. This is a very pleasant area and it even features a small stream in the area.

Here is a screenshot with a full view of the West Wing lookout from afar. Like the other rooves, you can place decorations on top of the lookout as well, but you can’t place anything on top of the gazebo.

East Wing Guest Room

The East Wing Guest Room can be unlocked after completing the mission Galactic Season 6: Side to Side. This mission is accessible once you have claimed the level 40 rewards of Galactic Season 6’s free track. Details on how to complete that mission will be featured later on in this section, so let’s look at the guest room in the meantime. Going through the door in the Central Villa will lead you up a small staircase into the East Wing Guest Room.

This room is a carbon copy of the West Wing’s Guest Room, so there’s not much to add to this particular room in terms of commentary.

How to Unlock: Side to Side Mission

To unlock the East Wing Guest Room in the Copero Stronghold, you’ll need to complete the mission Galactic Seasons 6: Side to Side. You can gain access to this mission through the level 40 Galactic Season 6 free track rewards, but you must first complete the mission Galactic Seasons 6: A Commemorative Introduction.

Talk to Vagol Oss and he’ll introduce you to Juna Helos. After the introduction, you’ll find her upstairs in the Central Villa near the door that leads to the East Wing Guest Room. Talk to her to start the mission Side to Side.

Juna requires numerous resources for her Dark-side research, though to what end is a mystery. You’ll need to recover Massassi Resources on Yavin IV to complete this portion of the mission. You will need to collect the following items:

  • Collect 8 Undiluted Massassi Rage
  • Recover 6 Ancient Massassi Relics

Go to Yavin IV and make your way to the Massassi Village on the western half of the map at (x, y) 1828, 584. There will be a faction-specific camp nearby that you can fast-travel to. Defeat the Massassi in the area to pick up the Undiluted Massassi Rages. The Massassi Relics look like half-buried vases in the village, right-click them to collect them and return to Juna to turn in this part of the mission.

The final portion of the mission will have you locate the Sith Relic Cache on Makeb. Make your way to everyone’s favorite planet and travel to Makeb, from there you’ll need to take a speeder or quick travel to the Cartel Mining Mesa to the south. Go to the marked area on your map and scan the bottom of the waterfall, scan the cache, pick it up, and then return to Juna to unlock the East Wing Guest Room.

Eastern Exterior and Suite

After unlocking the East Wing Guest Room, you’ll be able to unlock the Eastern Exterior and Suite once you gain the level 67 reward for the subscriber’s galactic season track.

East Wing Lookout

After unlocking the East Wing Guest Room, you can unlock the East Wing Lookout for 2,125,000 credits or 425 Cartel Coins. Once unlocked, you’ll be led through a hallway that leads to an elevator that goes to the East Wing Lookout.

The East Wing Lookout’s room mirrors the West Wing Lookout’s room and also includes a dangerous balcony. There really should be some guard rails on these balconies, but the lack of guard rails is classic Star Wars.

Going outside of the East Wing takes you down a short path with a gazebo at the end. It’s rather easy to follow the waterfalls in this area to reach multiple pools of water on your way down, just mind your health bar.

Copero Villa Stronghold Overview

Overall this stronghold is very lovely and can be enjoyed by many. Though if you’re a stickler for perfection, you’re going to find flaws that should be pointed out. The various decoration hooks are ever so slightly off-center in relation to the rooms, and there are bugs here and there. One such example is that it’s possible to get stuck in the small room between the Upstairs Central Villa and the Outdoor Terrace as seen below:

I guess this is my home now…

If you’re outside and one of the doors open, you’ll be able to see it clip through the room before it disappears:

Then of course there are the low ceilings. While not necessarily a bad thing, it does limit you from using taller decorations. The Zakuulan Standing Floor Lamp found in Star Fortresses would have been great here, but it’s too tall and will clip through the ceiling. This poses a problem due to the lack of lighting in some hallways and the absence of good floor lighting decorations.

You’ll come to realize that this is the space equivalent of a McMansion, a nice-looking home that was hastily built for a quick buck. Regardless of this, with some creativity and planning you can make this stronghold work. One thing that can’t be denied are the amazing views found throughout. It’s the perfect place to confess to a lover how much you hate sand!

Is it worth the effort though? Most definitely. Some things can be said about locking a stronghold behind a galactic season, but this is the situation we were forced into. It’s a beautiful stronghold that you’ll need to work hard to obtain. That or you can pay Cartel Coins, though doing this in enough numbers can set a bad precedence for content being locked behind paywalls.
