00:03 | Greetings, I’m Vulkk. This guide will teach you how to prioritize your gearing process while leveling up a character in Star Wars: The Republic, including stat targets, mod recommendations, tacticals and everything else you need. |
00:20 | To have a consistent and less distracting experience, you should ignore gear drops entirely and equip a set of modable armor that you upgrade from the Fleet. |
00:30 | All of the gear you will need from level 10 to level 70 can be found in the outer alcoves of the Supply Section on the Fleet. |
00:38 | This vendor sells modable armor shells. Buy a set of armor and weapons from that vendor that match your discipline. |
00:45 | The rest of the NPCs in this area sell mods. Stop by them every 4 to 8 levels for a full set of mod upgrades. |
00:54 | You should also complete the “Introduction to PvP” mission, available from the PvP Mission Terminal in the Combat quadrant on the Fleet. |
01:02 | It will reward you with a full set of accessories, which you will not find very often while leveling up. |
01:11 | The stat targets and mods are generally the same for leveling as they are for endgame content. |
01:17 | I strongly recommend that you level as a DPS. Tanks and healers take a lot longer to defeat enemies. |
01:26 | Here is the priority list and percentage targets for accuracy, alacrity and critical. |
01:31 | Accuracy is less valuable in low level content, but it has its use cases and it is a nice training to get used to the stat priorities for when you hit the endgame and this really starts to matter. |
01:45 | You have 9 pieces of modable gear, so you will need 9 mods, 7 enhancements, 7 or 8 armorings depending on the offhand and 1 or 2 hilts or barrels depending on your weapons. |
01:58 | As a DPS spec, these are the mods you should get. |
02:03 | To make things easier, you should always get your accuracy and alacrity from the modable gear pieces as you are less likely to have access to up-to-date accessories while leveling. Prioritize crit from these items. |
02:18 | Once you hit level 75, you gain access to tactical items. |
02:22 | They are effectively the same thing as ability tree talents. They don’t even provide stats like other gear. |
02:28 | You will find the tactical items vendor on the Supplies alcove of the Fleet. |
02:33 | Tacticals are currently involved in the endgame gearing at level 80. |
02:37 | When you are ready to jump into the most challenging content the game has to offer, we have a complete catalog to all Tacticals with overview and recommendations for every single one. |
02:48 | We also have an in-depth endgame gearing guide and a guide for Hyde and Zeek so you can learn which mods to put on your gear and when. |
02:56 | That’s it! The written guide on VULKK.com offers more detailed explanations on each of the topics in this video. |
03:03 | Check it out if you want to learn more. Thank you! |
