What are the Mysterious Stimpacks
Mysterious Stimpacks are one of the Special Objects scattered around the biomes at Dantooine Crash Site, released with Update 7.8, and provide a powerful defensive buff.
Mysterious Stimpack
Increases your Defense Chance by 30% and Endurance by 5% for 90 minutes. Does not persist through defeat. Duration: 90 minutes.
Defense Chance is the chance to completely avoid taking damage from an attack, and while it usually only applies to melee/ranged damage (AKA weapon damage), this buff also applies to Force/Tech attacks.
Endurance is responsible for determining how much HP you have.
Stimpacks disappear on use, so only one player can pick up a Mysterious Stimpack from a given location, and if you die or enter a loading screen, the effect is removed.
We don’t yet know what causes the Mysterious Stimpacks to respawn. Players picking them up is certainly one of the reasons. But other possible reasons could also likely be related to a cooldown timer and/or biome leveling up.
How to find Mysterious Stimpacks easier
There are several locations where Unknown Adrenals can spawn in each of the biomes. The object is a bright green cylinder and if you know where to look, you will not have a problem spotting it from far away.
If you are prepared to sacrifice some of the game’s visual fidelity, you can lower the grass quality to make the objects stand out a bit more. This setting is available in Preferences > Graphics > Advanced. Below is a comparison (click/tap to enlarge):

If your PC can handle high quality grass, we’d recommend you study the locations shown below and don’t make your game look ugly.
Check out the locations below. If you don’t find an Adrenal, check back later or keep playing and look at the other locations we have listed. Each location is also marked on the Crash Site Outpost Interactive Map (under group “Secrets”).
