This guide will show you where to find and how to solve the fire braziers puzzle at Hunter’s Cabin ancient ruins in Crimson Desert. The reward is an Abyss Artifact.
Where to find the Ruins
You will find the Hunter’s Cabin ancient ruins in Hernand. The location is northwest from the main city of this region and just north of the Hounted Hill. A little bit more to the north from it, you will also find the Deepfog Basin, which houses another ruins puzzle.

How to solve the puzzle
This is one of the simplest puzzles to solve, but as with most others, the solution is not immediately visible. Especially during the day, with all of the playful and moving shadows.
To open up the stone door where the Abyss Cresset is hidden, at the top of the stairs, you need to light up the two braziers that are not lit:
- Bottom of the stairs on the left side.
- Furthest to the right.
If the door doesn’t open, check if there are other braziers that are not lit. I’ve tested it several times and for me, always the same two required lighting up.
To light them up, all you have to do is stand close and hold the corresponding action button that will pop on the screen.
This mechanic is used in many other places where there are treasure chests locked behind bars or a door. When you see two braziers infront of a locked door or a blocked by bars alcove light them up. You will find this and many other tips in our Crimson Desert Tips and Tricks guide.
Reward
As with all other Ancient Ruins puzzles in Crimson Desert, the reward is an Abyss Artifact.
There is a bonus, here, though! You will find a Treasure Map on the side of the stone structure.
And if you use your Lamp or Focus with Blinding Flash, you will reveal a Visione Memory at this location.
