How to get Pet Armor and Unlock the Secret Cat Village in Crimson Desert

Pororin is a magical place in Hernand that isn’t easy to reach, but the journey is well worth it as there are plenty of fanciful secrets to uncover.

How to access Pororin

Pororin is protected by magical children called shai who roam the surrounding forest where the floating flowerpots are. If you get too close to the village or one of the shai sees you, they’ll knock you out with some sleep powder.

After you get knocked out 3 times (deliberately), a different shai will offer to help you get into the village if you help them. The name of this questline is Trembling Woods. You’ll have to meet them in Trembling Gorge in Deminiss; the location is marked on your map.

Once you arrive, they’ll inform you that a giant walking tree (reference to Ents from Lord of the Rings) has an important Pororinian relic and they can’t retrieve it themselves.

The walking tree is wandering around in a big loop. You’ll probably hear its footsteps before you see it.

The relic is on its head, and while the giant walking tree is climbable, it’s impractical to climb up from its legs. Use the conveniently placed diving boards or a hill to jump onto its torso and grab the relic. You can’t fight the tree.

Once you have the relic, return it to the shai who will give you permission to enter Pororin. The others just won’t try to put you to sleep.

Cats

There are cats of all sorts roaming the village like they own the place. You can adopt one as a pet if you manage to get its trust up to 100.

Yellow Dye Vendor

Okay, they aren’t actually Khajiit, but they basically are (Skyrim reference). There are sapient humanoid cats throughout Pororin called Fadus, and one of them is the dye vendor for the color yellow.

Pet Armor Vendor

There’s a vendor in Pororin where you can buy some adorable armor for your dogs and cats.

The shopkeeper demands expensive gifts like Palmar Leaves and offers nothing in return for reaching 100 trust.

Research Institute

There is a Research Institute located at Petalton Workshop, the southern building on the map out of the quad.

Just like at Scholastone, you can complete a bevy of Research Projects that cost time and money, including:

Natural Harmony Research
– Grants Blueprint: Shadowleaf Disguise
– Grants Infinitely Replenishing Arrows

Medicinal Herbs Research
– Grants Blueprint: Palmar Pill

Mysterious Wild Ginseng Energy Research
– “Enables Spirit to surpass its limits.”

Palmar Leaf Research
– Increases supply of Infinitely Replenishing Arrows
– Prerequisite for remaining projects

Plant Combination Research
– Grants recipes for Freya’s Elixir, Meliara’s Elixir, and Haiden’s Elixir
– Increases supply of Infinitely Replenishing Arrows

Secret Tools of Life – Research Pororin
– Grants ability to send Greymanes to craft Magic Scythe and Pororin Fishing Rod

Efficient Gathering Research
– Increases amount of plants you can get each time you try to gather them
– Allows you to send Greymanes to craft Dragon Claw Horns

Reachwood Ruins Dispatch Plan
– Allows you to send Greymanes to explore Reachwood Ruins

Observe Double Jump

There’s a trio of shai children hopping on a rock on the west side of the farm at Pororin proper. You can observe them to learn the Double Jump skill.

How to get a Pororin Pack

Sometimes there are little children roaming around with gigantic backpacks called Pororin Porters. I haven’t gotten a lot of the blueprints for Kuku Pot items, but I strongly suspect the Pororin Pack is a required material for at least one of them.

You can’t steal these packs like normal pickpocketing or knock them over yourself.

The only thing you can steal from them is a loose jar of Honey, but if when a cat runs in front of the kid, they’ll trip and drop the Honey and their backpack. This is your opportunity to steal their Pororin Pack.

It seems to be a scripted event, so you can’t just get the cats to run and expect one to trip the porter. You can find the porters on the main paths delivering their goods between each region of Pororia.
