The Crossroads of Uncertainty challenge is an obstacle course that requires you to fly through rings in the Abyss, so knowing how to navigate the area is key to avoid falling to the world below!
The Crossroads of Uncertainty is the third challenge in a set of Abyss puzzles that start with Bowsprit Cape in Demeniss. The order of this series is as follows:
- Bowsprit Cape
- Path of Serpents
- Crossroads of Uncertainty (this one)

First Obstacle Course
This challenge will have you powering floating rings which you’ll then need to fly through. Near the edge of the platform at the start is a yellow switch you’ll need to activate with Axiom Force.
There’s a 5 second delay before a countdown timer starts. You’ll have a little over 1 minute 30 seconds to fly through three rings ahead that have powered up. You can keep track of how much time is left as each ring will have a glowing ring within that empties out.
Your Swift Flight and Aerial Roll abilities will be useful to secure your passage across the long distances. If you fall too low, use the Axiom Force’s Aerial Maneuver to latch onto a surface and jump onto a platform.
Throughout the course are fans that can give you a boost in height while regenerating your stamina. Use these fans so you can fly through the three rings.

The platform before the third ring has an activation switch that will activate some horizontal fans to give you a boost through the third ring.
Once you make it past all three rings, fly to the platform ahead through the three rotating concentric rings.
Second Obstacle Course
This next course does half of the work for you. Activate the switch and let the first fan guide you through the first ring. Fly to the fan that pushes you through the second, then Aerial Roll continuously to pass the third.
Land on the platform with the large fan, fly into the fan and let it push you through the fourth ring. Fly through the concentric rings and land on the platform for the final obstacle course.
Third Obstacle Course
For the third obstacle course, you’ll need to pass through the first ring, make a right and go through the lasers to reach the second ring. Take the fans through the third ring and you’re done!
Retrieve the Abyss Artifact
Reach the central platform at the third obstacle course and take the fan up to fly towards the final platform. Activate the orange switch and climb onto the platform to get your second artifact!!
