RIP Marcia Lucas has passed away, The Mandalorian Visual Guide is out, Hasbro revealed new figures, and everything Star Wars that happened in the week of May 23 – May 29, 2026.
RIP Marcia Lucas
A few hours ago, we learned of the sad passing of Marcia Lucas. Marcia Lucas was an editor who worked on iconic films like New York, New York, Taxi Driver, American Graffiti, and the original trilogy of Star Wars.
While George Lucas was the master mind behind A New Hope, many people credit Marcia Lucas as the person who “saved” the film by making it good enough for the investors to approve it.
I love film editing. I have an innate ability to take good material and make it better, and to take bad material and make it fair.
