Ruby loves all things RPG and has a passion for similar genres including MMOs, ARPGs, and Looter Shooters. She excels at creating diverse playstyles through theory-crafting and rigorous testing and particularly enjoys uncovering hidden secrets within each game.

Ruby first began playing games when she and her brother each were gifted a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Red and Blue at a young age. Since then, she’s had not only a love of the Pokemon Franchise, but RPGs as a whole. Ruby loves the amount of variation between teams, builds, and classes offered by RPGS that allow for many complex or interesting strategies to be used to overcome an obstacle. 

Ruby started on VULKK in 2019 covering Anthem. After Anthem ceased development, she moved on to other titles in the RPG and Looter Shooter spaces. This was followed by coverage of Outriders and New World, where she first got to display her love of build crafting. Since then, Ruby has stuck to ARPGs, covering Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 with tons of builds and helpful guides.

Ruby’s love of theory-crafting and testing different strategies shines bright in her content, often favoring builds and strategies that would be considered “off-meta”. She loves finding unique interactions and interesting ways to take a disregarded skill and make it not only viable but powerful at that. There’s always a way to make anything worth playing, even if it’s not commonly regarded as a top skill.
