These are the current and future Twitch Drop rewards available for SWTOR players. Only 1 reward is obtainable at a time, coinciding with the update livestream and eventual release.

The Poster: Ord Mantell (Purple Frame) is a Sign deco reward that will be given to players who watch 1 hour of SWTOR streams within 2 weeks after the 7.6.1 livestream, from February 26th to March 11th, 2025.

Strongfhold Deco - Ord Mantell (Live Stream Drop)

You still have a little bit of time left to get this deco!

Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers”

Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers” is themed around the capital worlds of the Empire and the Republic, namely Dromund Kaas and Coruscant, and Andor Season 2. Rewards include:

  • Mon Mothma’s Ultragloss Hoversedan speeder in 2 paint jobs
  • Matte Gray/Metallic Blue and Matte Gray/Metallic Copper Enhanced Dyes
  • Andor-Themed Hairstyles
  • Hondo Ohnaka’s Hat
  • Probe Droid Minipets
  • Museum Piece Decos
  • Typhloractyl Creature Mounts
  • Titles
  • Czerka-themed Weapons

In addition, Uprisings are getting a bit of a shake-up thanks to a joint venture between Czerka and Kai Zykken. You’ll have access to a random adrenal effect reminiscent of modifiers and affixes found in other PvE games with repeatable content.

R-4 Anomaly Timer

PRAISE THE MAKER! Broadsword is FINALLY making it possible to reliably obtain the Wings of Nihrot by adding a timed run to R-4 Anomaly VM!

R-4 Anomaly extremely rare Wings of Nihrot new Mount

You’ll have 40 minutes to complete the operation in Veteran Mode, which should be doable, but it will be pretty tight like other modern timers. Don’t forget you can leverage guild perks because it’s considered Veteran Mode.

Completing the timed run will grant your toon the following:

  • Wings of Nihrot mount
  • Character Title: Anomalously Skilled [Name]
  • Anomalously Skilled Achievement

It’s possible other changes were made quietly, but nothing else was listed in the patch notes regarding the operation.

Considering R-4 Anomaly was never finished, it’s a bit of a slippery slope to only “fix” one or two things. Still, the entire raid would be a great deal less obnoxious if the Grey Reaper adds were actually finished.

These adds apply a ton of long-lasting CC and don’t respect CC breaks, CC immunity or interrupts. Their big channeled CC ability is misconfigured to apply a debuff at the start of the channel that lasts the same duration as said channel, so interrupting it does nothing.

The Grey Reapers are single-handedly responsible for making the Nihrot Hallway so much of a slog and making Lady Dominique’s burn phase far too inconsistent.

Basilisk Prototype Customizations

There are 4 new companion customizations coming for B3-S1 “Bessie”, the Basilisk Prototype.

These customizations are an extension of the existing Basilisk Prototype Venture, so you’ll have to do more Training Modules and collect Training Data, which will now be available for Dynamic Encounters as well. Stay tuned for an update to your Basilisk Prototype Guide for all the details.

Lane also finally got around to fixing Bessie’s gatling gun so it won’t fire at targets that are already dead. This was one of the biggest animation issues I mentioned in my review of Broadsword’s first Venture, hopefully we’ll see more improvements in the coming months.

Dynamic Encounter Specific Achievements

The only achievements added alongside Dynamic Encounters in 7.6 were the meta-achievements you get for doing them all. With 7.6.1, we’re getting new, encounter-specific achievements on Hoth and Tatooine. There will be new individual cosmetic rewards for completing these achievements.

7.6d Dynamic Encounters

This delayed deployment is incredibly frustrating for the completionists that pursue these achievements. Those of us who have already done the 260+ Encounters required for the meta-achievements now have to go back for the rest.

It’s becoming a bit of a pattern, too. We’ve had a similar experience with the Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival and Propagator Core XR-53.

I get how these are secondary to the main content and likely slow down the QA process more significantly than they’re worth, so they deserve to be a lower priority, but it feels like the metaphorical carrot is getting yanked away after we have taken just a bite.

New Speeder Piloting Legacy Perk

Speeder Piloting Rank VI Legacy Character Perk is available for purchase for all subscribers! With it, you’ll be able to use the speed boost temporary ability offered by the Vectron 240R Starbolt on any mount.

Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival Returns

The Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival has returned! It’s time to head on down to Blba Groves and celebrate this year’s bountiful harvest with new cosmetic items and fixed achievements.

This season, the event will run from March 11th, until April 8th.

How much do you think one of these eggs would go for in this economy?

Cartel Market Additions

Coruscant and Dromund Kaas Utility Deco Bundles

We’re getting some positively debonair Dromund Kaas and Coruscant-themed Utility Decoration Bundles.

The Dromund Kaas ones will also look fantastic on the Imperial Fleet Penthouse Stronghold, though the Coruscant art deco style clash a bit with the makeshift militarism of the Republic Fleet.

Peerless Explorer’s Enviro-Suit Inspired By Skeleton Crew

We’re getting a proper space suit with oversized fishbowl helmet Inspired By Skeleton Crew™, though it’s also quite reminiscent of Scoova from Jedi Survivor.

Retiring Old Items Sale

Broadsword is retiring older CM items from the store in an effort to make newer items easier to find. They’ll be doing clearance sales category by category that last 2 weeks, starting with weapons right now.

Cartel Market Weapons Sale

Prices range from 50-90% off. Only the items they’re retiring are going on sale. We have reached out to Broadsword with a few questions and will update this article if we hear back.

Please note that dyes are on sale because of the impending dye revamp. They are not getting retired.

PTS for MM Propagator Core and Face Changes

On the heels of 7.6.1, a PTS build will go up so players can test out Master Mode Propagator Core XR-53 and upcoming face/character modernization changes.

Propagator Core NiM

Master Mode Propagator Core XR-53 will release as part of Game Update 7.7, following the trend of releasing NiMs 6 months after initial release. The boss will likely drop schematics for gold Superior 318 augments and likely be even more obscenely expensive.

I expect something reminiscent of the very first Story Mode PTS build with additional complexity from VM and a couple new mechanics.

Face and Character Modernization

Broadsword’s primary initiatives for ongoing face and character modernizations based on player feedback include:

  • Replacing programmatic global softening of skin features with targeted, artist-controlled changes
  • Minimizing the neckline seam
  • Fixing textures for races with vibrant skin tones like the Chiss

In the 7.6.1 Livestream, they showed a couple of examples of the improvements they’ve been working on for the first two points:

They’re also working on the following:

  • Improved lighting for characters in gameplay to better match what’s seen in cinematics
  • Improved lighting in the Preview Window
  • Modernizing additional species (Sith Pureblood, Togruta, etc.)

Broadsword is bringing these changes to the PTS because they recognize how much you care about the appearance of your toons and want to take your feedback into account.

Check out our piece on SWTOR’s Cyborg Face Customizations for a complete recap of Broadsword’s statements regarding face modernizations and a reason to hope that things will improve.
