7.7 Twitch Drop: Umbaran Holo-Rancor Mount
The Umbaran Holo-Rancor is a vehicle mount reward that will be given to players who watch 5 hours of SWTOR streams in the month after 7.7 is released, from May 28th to June 25th, 2025. It’s a snazzy purple recolor of the Holo-Rancor mount.
Check out our SWTOR Twitch Drops Guide for more details.
New Dynamic Encounters
A new batch of Dynamic Encounters are coming with 7.7! This time around, we’re getting them on the starter planets, capital worlds, and Ilum, with an emphasis on the capitals.
- Ord Mantell
- Tython
- Coruscant
- Korriban
- Hutta
- Dromund Kaas
- Ilum
The “meta achievements” you get for completing everything will continue to offer mounts, though they’re not reskinned Load Lifters like we got from Tatooine and Hoth.
They have distinct models for the starter planets, capital worlds, and Ilum, with different colorways within those categories.
There will also be a bunch more deco rewards this time around, though it’s unclear if these will drop from specific Dynamic Encounters or be linked to individual achievements. I’m hoping it’s the latter. The full list of decos includes:
Deco | Planet Source |
---|---|
Conspiracy Console | Coruscant |
Shipping Crane | Coruscant |
Shipping Crate | Coruscant |
Empty Fireworks Launcher | Coruscant |
The Uggernaught | Coruscant |
Broadcast Tower | Dromund Kaas |
Monkey-Lizard Cage | Dromund Kaas |
Mining Drill | Dromund Kaas |
Ancient Kaas Sarcophagus | Dromund Kaas |
Poison Pit Sign | Hutta |
Crystal Shrine | Ilum |
Republic Kolto Tank | Ilum |
Imperial Massive Cannon | Ilum |
Fire Barrel | Ord Mantell |
Mantellian Wardrobe | Ord Mantell |
Tython Flower Bed | Tython |
Tython Training Bay | Tython |
All of the decos were listed on the PTS, though only a few of them were finished and visible in the preview.
It seems that they’re basically just transforming a chunk of their modernized assets into new decos, save for Hutta, where we only get a holo sign, no everglades.
During the livestream, Eric Musco also teased a subjectively adorable Killik Stalker Larva minipet that you can get from one of the Dynamic Encounters on Korriban, though he didn’t say which one.
Relentless Replication Master Mode
Propagator Core XR-53 NiM and Replication Throne Mount
The MM version of Relentless Replication is coming with 7.7 along with new Marks of Mastery achievements and a NiM mount.
As is tradition, there is a NiM mount that can drop from Propagator Core XR-53 in MM. You’ll be piloting a decapitated husk of the Propagator Core itself with its shield VFX as mount flourishes.
MORE New Augments
Propagator Core XR-53 NiM will drop schematics drop for gold Superior 318 augments, which feels like a bit of a rug pull if you forked over enough credits to buy the Promenade on Nar Shaddaa for the purple 310s released with Propagator Core VM, though you can Reverse Engineer them for a 20% chance to get the new schematics.
These new schematics will have a high drop chance, with Bad Luck Prevention System kicking in at 3 kills. The boss will also drop 30-36 Corrupted Bioprocessors with a bonus chance for a crate of 50.
In addition, VM RR will have a higher chance to drop the blue 86 schematics and PvP Weeklies will offer 3 Corrupted Bioprocessors as an optional reward alongside the Thyrsian Crate or additional 40 WZ-1 Accelerants.
Check out our comprehensive Augments Guide for everything you need to know about augments in 7.7 and beyond!
SWTOR 7.7 Augments GuideEras Window and Mission Log Update
SWTOR is getting a new Eras window and a refresh to the Mission Log aimed at getting new and returning players back into the action as fast as possible
Eras Window
The Eras window is a new tab in the Mission Log that helps you visualize your character’s journey through the entire SWTOR story. It’s high-level summary meant for (re)orienting new and returning playersThe.
It does not list the major choices you made on a specific toon. It’s just a summary for players within the holistic SWTOR story so they don’t need to rely as much on external information sources, like our story order guide, to find out what’s next, nor do they need to keep track of where they are in the story for each toon.
All of the CGI trailers are viewable within the Eras window, so the 7.7 download size will be a fair bit larger than usual, on the order of multiple gigabytes.
Mission Log Refresh
Alongside the new Eras window, we’re getting a refresh to the Mission Log. For those of you that dislike UI changes, don’t worry, this one is much smaller than what they did with the Character Sheet.
They wanted to reduce their use of the purple mission coloring to make the critical path more clear. They also reorganized some UI elements and incorporated larger buttons used in other windows with updated UI.
Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Event
The Nightlife Casino Event is returing with 7.7! It will last 6 weeks, ending on July 9th.
The new featured reward is a Supernova Helmet, which adds trippy color swirls to the inside of the Peerless Explorer’s Enviro-Suit Helmet.
There are a bunch of other rewards being added to the Max Bet machines as well including:
Reward | Source | Item Type |
---|---|---|
Smuggler’s Trained Vine Cat | Smuggler’s Luck Max Bet | Mount |
Smuggled Sithspawn | Kingpin’s Bounty Max Bet | Minipet |
Fiery Grefna | Kingpin’s Bounty Max Bet | Mount |
Vixian Youngling | Kingpin’s Bounty Max Bet | Minipet |
Iridescent Varactyl | Emperor’s Grace Max Bet | Mount |
Supernova Helmet | Emperor’s Grace Max Bet | Helmet |
Luxury Icetromper | Golden Certificates | Mount |
Pocket Orlax | Golden Certificates | Minipet |
Below, you can see previews taken on the PTS, though we’ll update our Nightlife Event Guide in short order with higher-quality images as soon as they become available.
PvP Season 8 “Champions of the Wild”
PvP Season 8 is called Champions of the Wild and will last 16 weeks. Just as Galactic Seasons begin with minor patches (7.X.1), PvP Seasons are synchronized to begin with major patches (7.X).
PvP S8 New Rewards
The theme for PvP Season 8 is bestial, and it looks like you’ll get a heavier version of the Plumed armors from Season 7. I believe they are sticking with the Light ▶ Medium ▶ Heavy armor versions as they’ve done with all past seasons despite not being able to fit 3 seasons in a single year anymore.
The titles, presumably on the track, will be:
- Legacy Title: Way of the Warrior
- Character Title: Stalker of Prey
This season, they’re also moving away from the battle statue decos and (I think) Warzone Medpacs and Adrenals in favor of a procession of fancy chairs, similar to what we got with Galactic Season 7.
The thrones are an acceptable solution, but I still think it would be nice to have a couple of Personnel decos wearing the new armor sets and just the nicest version of the throne.
Cartel Coin Catch-Up for PvP Seasons
Broadsword will also be introducing the option to spend Cartel Coins (CC) to catch-up through the PvP season.
They say they’re doing this to give players an alternative to the exorbitant credit costs and create parity between Galactic and PvP Seasons, but that isn’t going to happen because the systems are necessarily different.
Galactic Seasons lets you catch up to level 100, whereas you can only catch up through the first 20 levels (out of 30) in PvP Seasons.
The costs also seem to increase a whole lot more for PvP Seasons per level purchased with credits than they do for Galactic Seasons (like 5 mil vs 20 mil), yet the CC cost is linear for Galactic Seasons (100 coins per level).
If the CC cost remains linear and low, there is a significant disparity where it can quickly make a lot more sense to pay with CC than it does with credits.
The first 20 levels contain 6 PvP Seasons Tokens, which let you buy (still unpreviewable) items previously only given to skilled players and remain primarily available based on skill and dedication.
We’ll have to wait and see how the catch-up mechanic works, but if Broadsword does what they say they want, they’ll effectively be selling 6 PvP Seasons tokens for less than $20, available once every 6 months. Fork over $80 and Broadsword will give you a Replica Ranked PvP Mount, Weapon Set, or Armor Set without ever needing to set foot in a Warzone or Arena.
Why not just sell PvP Seasons Tokens directly on the Cartel Market?
Quality of Life Updates
Several quality of life (QoL) improvements coming to the World Map, Sprint, and combat for casual players.
World Map improvements
You will be able to track active dynamic encounters through the World Map via a new list, allowing you to see all of them that are happening on across the planet at a glance, and navigate to them more easily.
Quick Travel locations will be in a collapsible list alongside the legend and Dynamic Encounters and clicking on one will cause you to travel there. This will help alleviate the issue where they’re hard to click on with all of the overlapping icons.
Sprint Behavior
Contrary to the wording in ability and talent descriptions, effects that modify movement speed don’t stack additively or multiplicitavely with each other like damage boosts and DCDs do.
Instead, the game just reduces your movement speed to whatever the strongest slow effect is or increases your movement speed to whatever the strongest speed boost effect is.
Movement speed addition and subtraction only occurs when you have a speed boost and a slow happening at the same time.
Sprint works by providing a 35% movement speed boost while not in combat, but weaker speed boost abilities and effects get overwritten if they don’t provide more than a 35% boost.
This is already happening with laughable excuses for a speed boost, like the paltry 6s offered by Hydraulic Overrides (Mercenary) | Hold the Line (Commando), but it can encroach on other abilities the Sprinter I/II/III Guild Perks are active.
Based on what the devs have said, it sounds like they’ll be changing how Sprint (and the Guild Perks) work so that Sprint adjusts the zero point rather than being treated like any other speed boost, meaning it won’t feel like the ability you just used did nothing.
Oh wait, that will still be the case for Hydraulic Overrides | Hold the Line because the devs broke their rule and locked away the stronger movement ability (Rocket Out | Propulsion Round) because of accessibility issues instead of redesigning it.
Combat Updates
There are some updates coming to combat aimed at improving the default experience for casual players and leveling experience across the board. If you know about this site and are reading this article, the former certainly does not apply to you.
There are also a couple of changes with impacts on combat style balance that I will address in the subsequent dedicated section.
Default Choices
Broadsword’s expressed goal with these changes is to ensure players have a viable, fun, fantasy fulfilling experience from the default choices, and will be making adjustments to default talent choices and disciplines after character creation.
One of the reasons for the switch to ability trees with 7.0 was to mitigate an issue where a sizeable chunk of the playerbase didn’t have any Utilities selected because they didn’t know or care to make a choice.
The default choices are really meant for players who don’t read anything or even know to open the talent tree at all, so these defaults are just refining that. The same goes for default disciplines.
I feel strongly that they ought to take it a step further and give every class a trio of stance buttons that let you quickly switch to default PvP, Boss Fight, and trash mob choices, ideally mappable to loadouts.
Ability Levels
The levels where abilities are acquired will also be getting tweaked to streamline the experience.
They shared an example of the kind of thing they want to change with Juggernauts | Guardians, who have to rely on Smash | Force Sweep, an ability with a 9s cooldown for AoE until they reach level 27 and it’s locked away in the tree.
After 7.7, Sweeping Slash | Cyclone Slash will be granted at level 7. Marauders | Sentinels get the same ability at level 10, though it does not appear that this will be changing.
Note: The following changes have been reworded and reformatted slightly for clarity and consistency
Juggernaut | Guardian General
- Sweeping Slash | Cyclone Slash is now offered baseline at lvl 7
- The level 27 talent replacing Sweeping Slash | Cyclone Slash is now Path Carver | Trailblazer, which increases the damage dealt by Sweeping Slash | Cyclone Slash by 15%
- Projected Scream | Blade Burst now deals damage in a sphere around the target of Force Scream | Blade Storm instead of a cone.
Vengeance | Vigilance
- Level 27 default is now Projected Scream | Blade Burst (was Overwhelming Slashes | Debilitating Slashes)
- Level 68 default is now Mad Dash | Blade Blitz (was Intimidating Roar | Awe)
- Level 73 default is now Crushing Fist | Purifying Sweep (was Through Passion | Through Peace)
Marauder | Sentinel
- Level 27 default is now Predation | Transcendence (was Overwhelming Slashes | Debilitating Slashes)
- Level 68 default is now Mad Dash | Blade Blitz (was Force Choke | Force Stasis)
Carnage | Combat General
- Level 43 default is now Swiftness (was Quickness)
- (Now it’s the crit chance one, was the Ataru Form one)
- Level 64 default is now Cloak of Retribution | Adjudicator (was Path Carver | Trailblazer)
- Level 73 default is now Brazen | Stoic (was Thirst for Rage | Inspired Focus)
- Ferocity | Precision now also applies to Force Scream | Blade Storm
Marksmanship Sniper | Sharpshooter Gunslinger
- Level 39 default is now Retargeting | Lucky Draw (was Penetrating Rounds | Piercing Rounds)
- Level 51 default is now Ballistic Dampers (was Snap Shot)
- Level 73 default is now Seek Cover | Heads Up (was Augmented Shields | Hotwired Defenses)
- Takedown | Quickdraw is now granted at level 4 (was level 1)
- Penetrating Shots | Penetrating Rounds now ticks 6 times (up from 5)
Virulence Sniper | Dirty Fighting Gunslinger
- Takedown | Quickdraw is now granted at level 4 (was level 1)
Assassin | Shadow
- The default Assassin | Shadow discipline is now Hatred | Serenity (was Deception | Infiltration)
The next round of changes will be with 7.7.1, but I’m wondering when they’re going to integrate tactical items into the ability trees around level 50 considering they’re so integral to the experience.
I expect most of these changes to reflect optimal choices for solo content and leveling, similar to what I recommend in my complete collection of Solo Builds for each spec.
As a side note, I find it concerning that they have to do this sort of thing in small batches. I would think the combat team could to tackle this sort of thing in an afternoon, unless their system is really that cumbersome.
Balance Changes
While most of the combat changes are solely moving around the defaults for players who don’t care to ever change them, there are a couple of actual balance changes.
Marksmanship Sniper | Sharpshooter Gunslinger
- Penetrating Blasts | Penetrating Rounds now ticks 6 times over the course of the channel, up from 5.
This change results in a substantial improvement on Marksmanship | Sharpshooter’s sustained DPS in group content and AoE potential in solo content, though it will still be weaker than Engineering and Virulence | Saboteur and Dirty Fighting.
Both the Agitating Energies and Refraction Point tactical items will be more effective, as will the lvl 39 talents buffing Penetrating Blasts | Penetrating Rounds and Energy Barrel talents. However, Retargeting | Lucky Draw will benefit less, making it a weaker choice.
This buff will make Marksmanship | Sharpshooter more comparable to the other ranged direct damage specs, Lightning and Arsenal | Telekinetics and Gunnery, which remain largely inferior to their ranged DoT specs.
That being said, Marksmanship | Sharpshooter will still be at more of a disadvantage because its ability to move without losing DPS and worse survivability make it harder to justify using in group content even though its single-target sustained is more reasonable.
Juggernaut | Guardian
- Sweeping Slash | Cyclone Slash is once again a baseline ability for Juggernauts | Guardians. Its spot in the ability tree has been replaced by the Path Carver | Trailblazer talent that boosts its damage by 15%.
Juggernauts | Guardians lost their spammable AoE ability when it was locked away in the tree, breaking parity with every other class in the game and making the leveling experience far worse.
Given how unbelievably overpowered and convention-defying Cut to Pieces is, this will have practically no impact on the maximum AoE potential of Vengeance | Vigilance, but will slightly improve that of Rage and Immortal | Focus and Defense.
The most significant benefit of this buff will be felt by leveling and in PvP to detect stealthers, but the Path Carver | Trailblazer talent will never be worth taking. Hopefully, this is a temporary measure that will be rectified once 8.0 inevitably releases (to be clear, we lack official confirmation on its existence).
Cartel Market Items
We’ll be getting a couple of armor sets Inspired By™ characters from Andor including one for Saw Guerrera and an updated appearance for Director Krennic. For some reason, we aren’t getting anything related to Gorman or Chandrilla depsite the far more significant emphasis on fashion in the first half of Season 2.
We’ll also be getting a Manaan mount and Nar Shaddaa deco bundle.
Guerilla Commander’s Armor Set (Saw Guerrera)
We’re getting an armor set Inspired By™ Saw Guerrera as seen in Andor called the Guerilla Commander’s armor set.
Oxygen (or Rhydonium?) mask not included.
Imperial Director’s Armor Set (Krennic)
We’re also getting another armor set Inspired By™ Director Krennic featuring a capeless version and simple thigh high boots.
These boots should have been on the GS8 track instead of the low-res bootleg Satele Shan’s…uh…Boots that still feature undyeable yellow gold. Krennic has Imperial standard boots, not these. Was the different cape style not enough?
Manaan Mini-Sub Mount
We’re getting a mount version of the unique submarine taxi used in the Invasion Zone on Manaan. The cockpit is unsealed though, so it’s not safe to drive underwater.
I don’t feel like it is appropriate to add something like this to the Cartel Market. It ought to be on the Manaan reputation vendor, along with consolidating the Shasa Adherent armor, Fira weapons, Mana-D5 Submersible, and Potted Plant: Manaan Fern sold by Orloth in connection with the Depths of Manaan Flashpoint.
Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Deco Bundle
There was no new Inspired By™ Andor deco bundle announced. Instead, they’re making a huge collection of Nar Shaddaa-themed decos with a ton of older decos and some new ones using existing assets!
The idea is to bring together existing decos from disparate sources that fit a specific theme and bundle them together so you don’t have to know as much about what decos exist and where to get them, or go out and hunt them down yourself.
It’s like how you could order a whole kitchen (or house) from a Sears catalog in the previous century, meaning it will be much easier to decorate a Stronghold, which I think is great.
Below, you’ll find the full list of decos included in the bundle and their quantities, with the new ones in bold.
Deco | Amount Included |
---|---|
Holo Sign: Welcome to Nar Shaddaa | 6 |
Holo Sign: Cantina Dancer | 6 |
Holo Sign: Mith Musician | 6 |
Trandoshan Mercenary | 6 |
Cantina Bouncer | 6 |
Upbeat Twi’lek Dancer (Female) | 4 |
Upbeat Mirialan Dancer (Female) | 4 |
Hutt Crime Boss | 3 |
Jukebox: Core World Classics | 6 |
Contraband Slot Machine | 6 |
Dejarik Table | 10 |
Casino Table | 8 |
Speeder Turntable Display | 6 |
Ambient Machine: Casino | 6 |
Landscape: Gold Plated Hutt | 8 |
Promenade Holotree Bench (Blue/Purple) | 4 |
Promenade Holotree Bench (Purple) | 4 |
Promenade Holotree Bench (Yellow) | 4 |
Promenade Holotree Bench (Green/Red) | 4 |
Promenade Lanterns (Large) | 4 |
Promenade Lanterns (Small) | 8 |
The best part? They’re charging 2500 CC for all of this! I hope (and expect) we’ll see more of this kind of thing for other Strongholds going forward.
Character Modernization Updates
The next update seems like it will be a pretty major milestone for character and face modernization as it sounds like most of the biggest issues players have screamed from their armchairs have been fixed.
The changes coming with 7.7 are NOT the end of character modernization refinements and Broadsword is still working on modernizations for other species.
PTS vs 7.7 and Known Issues
Jackie Ko did post on the forums that the changes shown in the livestream aren’t quite ready in time for 7.7, though most players seem to think it’s still a major step in the right direction.
Most notably, they feel that skin is overly smooth and looks too flat, which you can see below on a comparison for Quinn on the PTS vs 7.7.
Other Major Known Issues with Face Modernization in 7.7
While this list is not all-inclusive, everything listed has already been investigated and will be addressed in future bugfix patches:
- Neck Seams can still appear under certain lighting conditions, when you have Character Level of Detail set too low for certain species, for Ratataki in general, and on some humanoid companions
- Skin Splotchiness has been reduced considerably, but more efforts to minimize it with certain colors is still being done
- Dark Side Corruption will not always change skin color, only adjusting complexion, depending on specific skin colors chosen.
Skin Definition Changes
Character skin definition will have improved sharpening and smoothing as a result of artists having greater control instead of the programmatic approach currently in place.
Splotchy Chiss Skin
The Chiss are getting desplotched, though it seems they still haven’t evolved pupils. Brad Lewis, SWTOR’s Art Director, explained during the 7.7 livestream that the splotchiness was caused by the Chiss using some of the same texture files as some of the other races, so behind the scenes, the Chiss were kind of just blue humans.
As part of the desplotchification process, they have gone through and made separate files for the Chiss and other aliens to prevent this catastrophe of galactic proportions from ever happening again!
Preview Window and Game Lighting Parity
The character preview window lacked parity with in-game lighting, causing some newer items to look different if they have reflective components or dyes on reflective components. In 7.7, that is getting fixed.
They want the preview window to accurately depict how it will look in-game, and with all the lighting improvements they’ve been making, the preview window has fallen behind.
In addition, they’ve also fixed a bug discovered on the PTS where skin color was not being displayed correctly in the preview window.
Revert to Old Style Toggle/Age Slider
Broadsword had the following to say about a toggle to revert character appearances to their pre-modernization version.
We have seen the demand for a toggle or slider to switch between the pre-modernization appearance and the current one. Back in November, we acknowledged that we couldn’t make any promises as we needed to understand the scope of that request as it is not as easy a task as some assume.
The reality is that due to the way the appearance system works within our tools and engine it is a technical impossibility to implement such a feature at this time. We understand where this request is coming from and we’ve had many conversations about it, but for now, we want to be clear there is no expectation of such a feature being added.
Jackie Ko, Senior Community Manager
Honestly, I’m surprised they took the request so seriously in the first place because it’s so absurd from a purely financial standpoint. They are investing a ton of resources into making these modernizations.
It is unacceptable to any company that such a significant portion of their customers would rather throw away that investment than use it, even though such a strong reaction from customers is completely (yes, completely) unreasonable.
Massively Expanded Alien Skin Color Options
Skin color options for most alien races are getting massively expanded for all players, like we’re talking going from 10-20 to 80+, enough that the interface is gonna need a tweak.
Race | LIVE Count | Count in 7.7 |
---|---|---|
Cathar | 10 | 81 |
Chiss | 10 | 19 |
Mirialan | 8 | 47 |
Nautolan | 10 | 95 |
Sith Pureblood | 6 | 41 |
Togruta | 19 | 97 |
Twi’lek | 8 | 95 |
In effect, most alien spieces will now be able to choose from a full rainbow of colors, with the smaller ones restricted primarily by lore accuracy. I wouldn’t be surprised if if they plan to do something similar for hair and/or eye color in the future, but nothing is confirmed.
Galactic Threads and Master’s Enigma Story Update
In the 7.7 livestream, SWTOR’s Narrative Director Ashley Ruhl and Game Director Eric Musco talked to us about the story content meant to release alongside major updates 7.6 and 7.7. The recent story goes:
Desperate Defiance (7.5) ▶ Galactic Threads (7.6) ▶ Master’s Enigma (7.7)
They explained that we haven’t gotten any new story content in over a year because “we are missing pieces we need to release them to you”, with a heavy emphasis on them not having them and that it’s out of their hands.
This is the closest we’ve gotten to Broadsword confirming that the lack of new story content has to do with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA Video Game Voice Actors Strike currently disputing the use of AI voices as replacements.
Despite a lack of official confirmation, it is without a doubt the reason that we haven’t gotten any new story content in a year. Ashley Ruhl gave us a brief spoiler-free synopsis of what’s happening in these stories when they can finally release them.
Galactic Threads
On the heels of Desperate Defiance, which mostly took place in the Minboosa District on Hutta, Galactic Threads will follow multiple stories featuring different characters including:
- Pursuing Darth Malgus
- Darth Nul’s Holocron
- Hidden Chain threat
- Darth Malgus’ plans for the galaxy
Check out our coverage of the 7.6 Livestream for more details on the characters. The devs also shared a small teaser featuring the Rakata Mind Trap on Ilum with a warning from Lana Beniko.
They didn’t show who was inside the Mind Trap, but I’m still putting my money on Darth Nul. Maybe she knows the way to A World Between Worlds…
Master’s Enigma
Master’s Enigma would take place after Galactic Threads and was meant to come with 7.7, immediately follow the events of Galactic Threads, and further investigate Darth Nul’s Holocron.
We will also learn of a “mysterious figure” pulling the strings, who is almost certainly Darth Jadus as seen in the Star Wars Celebration Featurette.
The devs reiterated that they will share a release timeline as soon as they have the “missing pieces we need to release them to you”.
I maintain that the SAG-AFTRA Strike is a blessing in disguise. The strike will end eventually, and when that happens, we’ll get a ton of new story content, potentially right on the heels of even more story content with the impending (but still unconfirmed) 8.0 expansion.
7.7 Full Patch Notes
Below, you can read the full patch notes for Game Update 7.7 “Dynamic Worlds” from swtor.com. They’ve been reformatted, but no meaning has been lost or changed.

First introduced in 7.6, Dynamic Encounters offer a variety of new adventures for players to experience. In addition to Hoth, Tatooine, and Hidden Chain Invasions, with 7.7, new Encounters will become available on:
- Tython
- Korriban
- Hutta
- Ord Mantell
- Coruscant
- Dromund Kaas
- Ilum
Relentless Replication Master Mode
The highest difficulty for Relentless Replication has been released in Game Update 7.7! With it comes new Achievements and rewards to earn including Legendary Augments and themed mount!
Augment Updates
Legendary Augments will now be available with Master Mode Relentless Replication! Crafters brave enough to defeat XR-53, with a little luck, can begin their crafting journey into our new Legendary implants. For those of you that may not want to venture into Master Mode just yet, we are making some adjustments to our PvP Weekly Missions and Veteran Mode Relentless Replication for a few alternate paths to the new Augments as well.
Read here for all the details!
Eras Window
Whether you are a new, returning, or seasoned player, the Eras Window will guide you in your journey through SWTOR’s story. Content from the game’s launch to the present is categorized into Eras, providing summaries for each as well as a chronological visual guide to the story. The Eras Window will show you where you are in the overall crit path storyline, what you’ve completed, and what is still to come for each of your characters.
This window also acts as a great refresher if you are coming back to a character you haven’t played in some time as the overviews are tailored to your journey, show you where that character is in the overall narrative, and allow them to quickly jump directly into their next Mission!
Important note: Players should expect a larger download for this update as the Eras Window will be importing all the cinematic trailers and this will affect the download size for 7.7.
Mission Log Updates
Alongside the introduction of the Eras Window, we have also made a few Quality of Life improvements to the Mission Log to help in ensuring that important information is easier to find as you move through the game. Some of the key changes we made include:
- Introduction of a Galaxy Map button within your Mission Log for easier navigation from Missions to galactic travel!
- Reorientation of various UI elements for improved navigation.
- Adjustments to make Mission Prioritization clearer (Ex: reduction of non-crit path Missions using Purple)
PvP Season 8 “Champions of the Wild”
PvP Season 8 “Champions of the Wild” begins with 7.7 launch and will run for 16 weeks!
Alongside the new season, we will be providing players with a Cartel Coin purchase option to bring more parity with other seasonal content such as Galactic Seasons. Catch up via credits will still be available. Read here for details on the new rewards!
Additional Quality of Life Improvements
World Map
We have made a host of quality of life improvements to the World Map to help in navigating the Galaxy! The first thing to note is that we have added a 3 section accordion menu to the left side of the World Map:
- Quick Travel – This now has a filter button that can be used as a toggleable shortcut to quickly isolate Quick Travel points in respect to important Mission icons. Toggling it off will put your filters right back to your original preference!
- Encounters – The most exciting of the new sections, the Encounters section will highlight all available Dynamic Encounters in your area. Clicking on one will begin tracking it, this will act as an aid to help breadcrumb you straight to the event location
- Filters – The Galaxy Map, Filter options, and Magnifying Glass have been organized into this small utility menu.
Combat Updates
We want to ensure that players have a viable, fun, and fantasy-fulfilling experience from the default choices that we make within your Combat Style. We’ve reevaluated the default choices within Disciplines and have made a variety of changes in 7.7.
A full list of changes is listed below in the Combat Updates section of the patch notes.
Cartel Market items
Two new armors (inspired by Andor™), a Manaan mini-sub mount, and a Nar Shaddaa decoration bundle have come to the Cartel Market!
Character Modernization Updates
Coming in 7.7 are the following:
- Further definition changes
- Chiss Texture Improvements
- Preview Window and Game Lighting Parity
We’re continuing to work on modernization for additional species to be released in future updates. Read here for additional details.
Expanded Customization Options!
New skin colors will be available to all players with 7.7! Cathar, Chiss, Mirialan, Nautolan, Sith Pureblood, Togruta, and Twi’lek characters will see an abundance of new skin colors added to their skin customization sliders.
Nar Shaddaa Nightlife
SWTOR’s summer seasonal event returns with a plethora of new rewards and will begin on July 8th! More details on the new rewards will be posted the first week of July.
Fixes and Other Changes
General
- Movement bonuses will now stack correctly with Sprint.
- This does not affect mounts
