This week’s highlights include the official announcement of a new LEGO Star Wars UCS set and the release of Star Wars Zero Company.
Star Wars Zero Company is out
In case you weren’t aware, Star Wars Zero Company officially released this week. Zero Company is a turn-based tactics game that is heavily inspired by the beloved XCOM games. This isn’t an action-adventure game like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or Star Wars Outlaws so don’t expect the pace to be as quick and chaotic.
For this genre, you have to develop a strategy in real-time while accounting for multiple variables. Some of which include: your team’s strengths/weaknesses, the map distribution, number, type, and positioning of the enemies and even the surprise factor.
Each Operator (the characters you control) have up to three Action Points (AP). Moving, attacking, and most actions cost AP. It’s for you to decide how to use them in the most efficient way.
What takes the stakes to the next level is the fact that, if an Operator is killed, he’s gone permanently. Don’t worry, if you wish, you can turn permadeath off.
The decisions you make outside of combat can also affect your gameplay permanently, for better or worse. As you might imagine, this is a fairly complicated genre. To make things easier for you, we made a beginners guide that explains what you need to know before playing Star Wars Zero Company.
LEGO revealed the new UCS Executor Super Star Destroyer
The unforgetable Executor Super Star Destroyer from Episode V is releasing on October. This set measures 7.5 in. (20 cm) high, 53.5 in. (136 cm) long and 20 in. (50 cm) wide. It is made of 6,130 pieces and has a price tag of $800.
The UCS Executor Super Star Destroyer comes with minifigures of Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss. If you buy the set
If you buy the set between October 1st – October 7th, you will receive Darth Vader’s Lightsaber as a gift. This set releases October 4, 2026 and is sold exclusively on LEGO’s website. However, LEGO Insiders’ members can purchase it as early as October 1.
