Ever since the Outfit Designer was released way back in early 2015 we’ve been wondering when is Bioware going to bring the option for us to change the “outfit” of our weapons as well. It doesn’t seem so hard, right? Or does it? It’s about two years later now and we are still asking for it!
But, there are good news. Finally! Charles Boyd said on the official forums yesterday:
We’ve been discussing this one a lot recently, and we’re working on how we could fit it into the schedule for this year. Once that gets firmed up we’ll let y’all know.
Well, how about that! I personally have been dreaming of the opportunity to use an ugly-ass Legacy bound hilt on my Knights and Warriors, while wielding the awesome Unstable Arbiter’s Lightsaber. “This year” seems like a long time, but if they make it happen, it would be a great “Quality of Life” change for, I dare say, EVERYONE!
Later Charles also added via another post in the same forum thread:
Honestly, it comes down to priorities – we’ve been very focused on features that supported story chapters and gameplay, so this didn’t make it to the top of the list. But this year, we’ve shifted some of our focus to broader features that improve the overall gameplay experience and add better customization and convenience options. So with that in mind, it makes sense to see if we can add weapons to Outfit Designer this year.
