SWTOR Epic of the Exiled Knight and Dawn of the Exiled Knight Achievements Guide

This walkthrough will show you how to unlock and earn the two achievements, Epic of the Exiled Knight and Dawn of the Exiled Knight in SWTOR, and reveal the origin story of how a meme inspired BioWare to add them to the game in the first place.

These two achievements are located on Ossus and are available after the release of Game Update 5.10 Jedi Under Siege. You can find them in the Legacy tab, under Dailyes – Ossus – Exploration.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight is about discovering four pages from Don’s personal journal. They are all found in the Daily Area on Ossus and are the same for both Republic and Empire players.

The second achievement Dawn of the Exiled Knight can be unlocked only after you complete the first one.

As a reward, you will get a life-size decoration of Don, the Exiled Knight.

If you go to Don’s location before you have found the four pages, he will not be there. I’ve included that in the video walkthrough below.

Finding the four pages from Don’s journal is easy if you know where to look for them. It doesn’t matter in what order you will find the pages. I will list them based on their titles.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part One

This one is hidden in a small cave behind one of the waterfalls in the southern area of the Ossus Canyons.

Go to the third waterfall from the west and go through the water of the right stream. Just behind it in the small cave, you will find the journal page among empty bottles of… well… Jawa juice?

“On Ilum, war brought ruination to a sacred Jedi world – and to my own life as a member of their order. I merely did what had to be done, as I explained to the Council. They were unswayed, and so I persevere, alone in a harsh galaxy.”

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Four

Found underwater, between two rocks inside the cave connecting the Ossus Canyons and Ancient Ruins. It’s on the middle step. There are enemy NPCs nearby, but they are just normal weak trash.

“In the Order of Revan, I found sympathetic minds. Rishi, a paradise by any standard, was our fastest against a galaxy gone mad. But it could not last.
Stranded in the aftermath of their downfall, my only path forward was among the planet’s scofflaw denizens. As a member of the Corellian Run Scoundrels, I continued my path ever onward.”

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Twelve

The next page of Don’s journal is located in the Farms region, in the western area, inside a plant pot.

It’s located just next to a large green container.

“The carbonite finally melted away, years later. I was left adrift in a galaxy I no longer understood. Where could I go? Who could I fight for?
Rumors told of Jedi in hiding, rebuilding. Perhaps I could rebuild among them.”

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Seventeen

The final page from Don’s journal is inside the Jedi Library Ruins. It’s in the same hidden area outside of the map, where you would go to find one of the Ancient Switches for the Endurance Datacron.

The journal is sitting on the sand in the far corner. To get to it, go straight forward after you enter the Library. You need to jump over the sill of the wall by jumping on top of the two vases sitting just next to that wall.

“I found them, at last; the ruins of an ancient order, hiding among the ancient ruins of their order.
Surely my past, my actions, had been forgotten?
They had not. And so I wander once more. Exiled.”

These are the four locations you need to visit to complete the Epic of the Exiled Knight achievement and learn the sad story of Don, the Exiled Knight.

You must complete this achievement first before you unlock the second one, called “Dawn of the Exiled Knight”.

“Dawn of the Exiled Knight” Walkthrough

After you have unlocked the “Epic of the Exiled Knight” achievement, you can now go find Don. He is located in the eastern end of the Ossus Canyons, just sitting peacefully enjoying the view.

If you visit this location before you have completed The “Epic of the Exiled Knight” achievement, you won’t see Don.

Simply go to the edge of the rocky formation and climb down along the canyon until you see Don, sitting on the ground next to his own small tent and campfire.

When you reach his location, the achievement will auto-complete. Congratulations you found Don!

The meme that inspired this Achievement

The two achievements are an easter egg related to a silly typo that BioWare made some time ago. A Cartel Market item was promoted on the SWTOR Launcher with a funny title and image.

Reddit user ChampStanle picked up on it and turned it into a joke some four months ago. BioWare decided to continue this gag and turned it into an easter egg by actually introducing Don the Exiled Knight into the game as an achievement on Ossus – the very same you just unlocked.
