SWTOR Voss Bonus Series Missions Guide

SWTOR Voss Bonus Series Missions Guide

Vulkk by Vulkk|

This guide will show you how to start and successfully complete the Bonus Series Missions on Voss, which BioWare made Repeatable and tied to Conquest Objectives with the release of SWTOR Game Update 6.1.1. The stories are different for Empire and Republic, so this guide is split into two segments, of course. Enjoy!

The Bonus Series Missions on Voss are not too long and are recommended for level 46+ players. The average duration for this storyline is 30 to 40 minutes (50+ if you listen and watch all dialogues and cinematics). It includes quite a few additional must-complete missions alongside the main ones.

Originally these were designed to be available, as the name suggests, in the form of bonus content on the planet and offer a narrative, unique to the faction as well as some Heroics and exploration side missions. This guide shows you how to pick up and complete the main storyline along with the spawning from it other missions. The side quests and Heroics are there for you to pick up along the way as you do the main mission in the same region and camps/outposts.

SWTOR Voss Bonus Series Conquest Objective

Game Update 6.1.1, released in April 2020, turned the Bonus Series Missions to Daily Repeatable and attached them to the Conquest system as Objectives.

You can complete the main Bonus Series Mission once on one character and it will be locked out for the rest of the week, but you can bring another character through on the next day to get the daily Conquest Objective points.

All other missions described in this guide are available as Dailies. Only the main starter mission is a Weekly.

VOSS BONUS SERIES FOR REPUBLIC PLAYERS

To get the starter and main mission for the Republic Bonus Series on Voss, speak to Lieutenant Randa, who is at the shuttle landing pad in Voss-Ka. If you prefer, you can click the appropriate Conquest Objective.

Both will grant you the main mission “Tip of the Spear“. This is also the one you need to complete to get the Conquest objective for the Bonus Series.

Next, travel to The Pelath-Ri Marches and the Kri-Ta Outpost. There you will find Jedi Master Halykus.

Master Halykus Location

The Master will give you directions to three other NPCs for three new missions required to complete before you can progress with the main one. All three NPCs are in the same outpost. All these three missions are repeatable daily. I have a walkthrough for each one of them below, but it is better to pick them up all together and complete them before you return to the camp.

Speak to Knight Wen to get “A Potential Problem“.

Knight Wen

Retrieve the Sith Mirr Artifact from the Altar. Enter the ruins in the Pel-Ki Ridge area, east from Pelath Point Outpost and pick it up.

Next head north and throw it from the edge. Defeating ten Sith Artifact Forces will grant you the extra XP from the bonus mission Sith Infestation.

Go to Padawan Kosh for “Forbidden“.

Padawan Kosh

The objective for this one is also in the Pel-Ki Ridge, east from the Pelath Point Outpost, but much closer to the camp. Enter the ruin marked on your map, pick up five Jedi Relics from the Gormak and another three from the Lost Vault (Ancient Jedi Technology – clickable objects) . Bonus points for defeating the Gormak Leader – an Elite NPC.

Get “Findsman” from Findsman.

The objective for this one is to Scan the Survey station, located west from Kri-Ta Outpost.

Next, head south-west into the Southern Steps to scan the Crashed Speeder.

Finally, travel to the location shown below to discover Ellrak’s camp and defeat him. There’s a bonus mission to defeat Crysfang.

When finished with all three missions, return to Kri-Ta Outpost to hand them in and then speak to Master Halykus to complete “Tip of the Spear”. This is the mission required for the Conquest objective “Voss: Bonus Series”. The Voss Bonus Series missions do not stop here, though.

Your next main mission is called “Better Left Burried“. It splits into three separate missions, each one repeatable daily. Below is a walktrough for all of them. Though it’s best to pick them up all at once and complete them all before you return to hand them in. Saves time. All three quest givers are literally next to each other in the camp.

Talk to Beryl to get “Death From Below“.

Except that he looks a little bit like Keanu Reeves (minus the beard), Beryl will have a task for you. He asks you to destroy four Gormak Artillery Cannons in the Pelath-Ri Marches.

Click on the flashing module on the right side of the artillery guns to destroy them. Bonus “Closing the Floodgates” appears when you start defeating the Gormak Forces in the area. You need 15 to get the additional XP chunk from this one.

To get “Stolen Treasure“, speak to Doctor Chull.

This mission’s objective is to retrieve five Advanced Power Cores by defeating the Gormak War Shamans in the most nort-easterrn corner of the Pelath-Ri Marches. In this region you will get a bonus mission to defeat twenty Gormak Forces after you defeat the first one.

Get “Fishing Facade” from T5-BD.

The droid sends you north-east, to speak to Kelnu Velus.

The new objective he gives you is to get six Gormak Armor Pieces from the creates in the Fest Otur fishing village.

Hand in this mission when finished before you proceed with Death from Below, because, Kelnu gives you a new one called “Power Armor” – located in the same area as the other quest. It’s also a daily and is required to progress the Detter Left Burried main mission. For this one you need to destroy four Power Armor Charging Stations.

When you complete all of the above missions, it’s time to speak to Jedi Master Halykus again.

Master Halykus sends you to speak to Qualie in Pelath Point Outpost.

QUalie Location - Better Left Buried

She, of course, sends you to two other NPCs in the same camp. Their individual missions are required for the progress of the main one to continue. Both missions can be repeated daily.

To get “Silencing the Gormak“, speak to Ethen Wessiri.

Ethen Wessiri

Ethen asks you to destroy three Communication Relays at Quar Non (in The Barrenwoods), Quar Ret and Quar Wo bunkers in the Pelath-Ri Marches. Below is what these terminals look like. They are always in the same spot and it’s marked on your map. If missing, wait for it to respawn, someone must have destroyed it recently.

Communication Relay - Silencing the Gormak

To complete the optional bonus mini misson, defeat the Gormak War Captain, two Gormak Warchiefs and two Groamk Warleaders (Elite NPCs). They are roaming in and around these bunkers.

To obtain “Stop the Excavation” mission, talk to Nodin-Fe.

Nodin-Fe

To start off, go investirage the ancient Burried Sith Ship in the Fest Edj region. A bonus mini mission opens up when you start defeating Gormal Beast Training Forces. Click on this little container to complete the first objective.

After that, check the three newly marked locations on your map and destroy the three Magnetic Lifts by clicking on the terminals next to each one.

After completing both missions, check back with Qualie. She sends you back to Lieutenant Randa in Voss-Ka. This will complete Better Left Buried and the whole Voss Bonus Series for the Republic side.

VOSS BONUS SERIES FOR EMPIRE PLAYERS

To get the starter mission for the Empire speak to Lesi Garahe. She waits for you at Voss-Ka, right at the shuttle landing pad. Alternatively, you can click on the appropriate objective from the Conquest tab to get the prompt and quick-travel there.

The name of the starter mission is “The Outcast’s Game“.

SWTOR Voss Bonus Series Starter Mission NPC Location

Next, speak to Lord Pallas. You will find him in his office at Outpost Overseer in The Pelath-Ri Marches area.

Lord Pallas Location

Lord Pallas will forward you to two other NPCs, who will grant you two other missions, related to the main one. Both are part of the series and are also dailies.

Speak to Vex Dantos to get “Looters” and to TM-82 to get “Aggressive Archaeology“. These characters are also located in the Outpose Overseer. Both missions can be repeated daily.

Vex Dantos - Looters Daily Mission
TM-82 - Aggressive Archaeology Daily Mission

To complete the Looters mission, you need to retrieve four Sith Artifacts from Gormak Looters. Not each one will grant you an artifact. These are Strong NPCs, usually guarded by one or two beasts. There’s a bonus mini-mission to defeat eight of these Guard Beasts to earn extra chunk of XP.

For Aggressive Archaeology you must find and defeat twelve Republic Excavators and two Jedi Artifact Hunters. The Hunters are Elite NPCs. Any of the other guys in the area will count towards the “Excavators” count. After you defeat the required number, click on the Articaft to destroy it.

Once both missions are finished, return to Outpost Overseer to hand them in. To continue the main mission, now you need to speak to Lord Pallas again.

At the end of the conversation you complete The Outcast’s Game mission. If all you care about is the Daily Conquest points reward, you can stop here. The Bonus Series for Empire on Voss continues with “Seek and Destroy”, which is granted to you automatically. It requires you to complete two quests, which can be repeated daily.

Speak to Captain Ortano to get “Gormak Disarmament” and open the Mission Terminal to obtain “Asserting Regional Authority“. Both are at the same outpost and can be repeated daily.

Both missions are in the same north-eastern corner of The Pelath-Ri Marches.

To complete Asserting Regional Authority youi need to take the head of Althu’s Chief War Chaman and Cryo Warrior. Also you need to defeat fifteen Gormak Forces in the area. When this is done, Defeat Raider Chieftain Althu. To spawn him, go to the marked location on your map and click on this pike.

For Gormak Disarmament you need to deal with the Gormak Bomb located inside Err-Ka Access Tunnels far into the north-east, at the very edge of the map. There’s a bonus mini mission for XP. Defeat eight Gormak Master Arsonists to complete it. The bomb is in the northern end of the Tunnels. Clicking it gives you a choice between a Dark and Light action.

When you complete both of these missions, go back to Outpost Overseer to hand them in.

Next, go to Pelath Point, which is the camp north from your current location, in the Pelath-Ri Marches. Speak to Major Kouvar.

Major Kouvar - Seek and Destroy Mission

From there the main mission gives you another two missions you need to complete to progress. To get “Intruders” go to Sergeant Jaymis. To obtain “Gormak and Their Monsters” speak to Lieutenant Kadriss.

Sergeant Jaymis - Intruders Daily Mission
Lieutenant Kadriss - Gormak and their Monsters mission

To complete Intruders, you need to first destroy four towers, then enter the nearby cave (The Forgotten Ruins) and destroy three Gormak Drills.

The first objective for the quest Gormak and Their Monsters is to enter the Fest Edj Tunnel and obtain the EMP Grenades. There’s a mini mission to defeat 25 Gormak Beast Training Forces in the area. The Grenades are on a corpse, guarded by an Elite NPC in the middle of the cave.

Exit through the north-eastern end of the cave and head north for the next objective – to defeat the Gormak Vorantikus Mvaster and five Tech Vorantiki.

Next, return back to Lieutenant Kadriss and Nim-Sa at Pelath Point outpost to hand in these two missions.

Now you are back to the main mission Seek and Destroy. Its objective has changed and you need to head west to draw out and defeat Raklann. While doing that, you can earn extra XP from the available mini mission – Raklann’s Lieutenants – defeat 30 of Raklann’s Forces as well as one Warleader and Technician. Raklann’s spawn location is shown in the image below. The other markers on your map are for the mini mission.

After Raklann is defeated, head back to Pelath Point to speak to Major Kouvar. After that go and speak to Lesi Garahe back at Voss-Ka to finish the Bonus Series

REWARDS

At the moment the rewards from these missions are nothing special. They are worthy repeating if you struggle for XP while leveling or for Conquest, but I don’t see how this would be a fact with all of the solo and group content available elsewhere.

The daily missions grant XP, Renown, Credits and some times a random Gear item. The main mission rewards you a Locked Supply Crate of your choosing.

Please note that the images below do not represent the exact XP rewards you may receive. For example, I did the Republic side on a level 70+ character, while I ran the missions on the Empire side with a level 75 character. All of this including various XP boosts and the effect of the Double XP event, which was active at the time of creating this guide.
