This guide will show you how to start and complete the Taris Bonus Series Missions in SWTOR, which BioWare made repeatables.
The Bonus Series Missions on Taris are not too long. The average duration for this storyline is 15 to 25 minutes for each faction. It includes a few additional must-complete missions alongside the main ones.
Originally these were designed to be available, as the name suggests, in the form of bonus content on the planet and offer a narrative, unique to the faction as well as some Heroics and exploration side missions.
This guide shows you how to pick up and complete the main storyline along with the spawning from it other missions. Along the way, you can pick up and complete several other optional side missions and Heroics while in the area. The storyline strictly tells you which missions are required and the descriptions are clear and easy to follow.
Game Update 6.1.1, released in April 2020, turned the Bonus Series Missions to Daily Repeatable and attached them to the Conquest system as Objectives.
You can complete the main Bonus Series Mission once on one character and it will be locked out for the rest of the week, but you can bring another character through the same content on the next day to get the daily Conquest Objective points.
Only the main starter mission is a Weekly. All other missions described in this guide are available as Dailies.
Republic Side
The starter mission for the Taris Bonus Series on the Republic side is simply called “Taris: Bonus Series” and to get it you need to speak to Strom at the Spaceport.
How to start the Republic Side Bonus series
Taris appears as a planet at different stages of the Empire and Republic players journey. For Republic this series are recommended for level 18+.

Head to the furthest outpost on the map – Brejik’s Run Outpost. It is located in The Tularan Marsh zone. Here you need to find and speak to Vealo.

Missing Link walkthrough
Now speak to Mola Haxtor to get “Missing Link” mission (daily repeatable). She is inside a hut at Forward Research Camp to the west from Brejik’s Run Outpost and south-east from Lytle Outpost, still in The Tularan Marsh.

Head south near the border of the map to recover the Rakghoul Camera Mola told you about. Keep defeating Rakghouls until one of them drops the item for you.

After you are done, talk to Mola again to get the next one – “Where Darkness Abides“. It’s daily repeatable.
Where Darkness Abides walkthrough
Head back to the same area, but this time your objective is to enter the Abandoned Power Plant and investigate for the new species rumored to be there.

The creature you are looking for is in the furthest room in the plant, in the south-eastern corner. It’s a personal instance, meaning you wont be able to enter if you are in combat, but if you prefer, you can rush through most of the rakghouls on the way and only kill the ones nearest to the entrance to that room.
Once inside, defeat the Nekghoul. Then click on the holocron behind the creature to find the truth about these creatures.

The conversation with Bay-Yon Siu offers you a Light vs Dark choice.

Future Threat walkthrough
The next mission from the series is called “Future Threat“. Go back to Brejik’s Run and pick it up from the Mission Board terminal. It’s also daily repeatable.

For the mission’s objective it’s best if you quick travel to Lytle Outpost. Just outside on the outposts’ eastern wall is where you will find the missing Commandos. Click on the Dropped Holo Device to start the conversation with Agent Weller.

Next, head further east to disarm four bombs.

When done, return to Agent Weller, who is in Lytle outpost.

Power Fix walkthrough
To get the next mission, talk to Engineer Ferron, who is next to the eastern wall of the outpost. He will give you “Power Fix” – another daily.

The three Generators you need to switch are in the Shattered Pipeworks area, north from the outpost.

Go back to the outpost to report and complete the mission.
Suicide Mission walkthrough
Your next mission is called “Suicide Mission” and you need to go to Kanner Outpost in The Sinking City to pick it up. Once there, talk to Sergeant Mack.

From there, head north to complete the objective – scan three key locations in the Sliding Plate area.

Once you arrive inside the marked circles on your map, click on the icon next to your mission objective to scan the area.
When you are done, go back to the Kanner outpost to finish the mission.
Finally, go back to the Spaceport and talk to Strom. This is the end of the Taris Bonus Series for the Republic. Next, Empire!
Empire Side
The starter mission for the Taris Bonus Series on the Empire side is simply called “Taris: Bonus Series” and to get it you need to speak to Colonel Surab at The Brell Sidement at Toxic Lake Garrison on Taris.
How to start the Empire Side Bonus series
Taris appears as a planet at different stages of the Empire and Republic players journey. For Empire this series are recommended for level 34+.

Next travel to the 75th Legion Forward Camp at Shattered Pipeworks in Tularan Marsh. Talk to Lord Vago.

All Clear Signal walkthrough
After this talk to Captain Lantikus, who is just nearby to get the “All Clear Signal” daily-repeatable mission.

Head south to complete the objectives for the two missions you just picked up. There’s a bonus mini mission available – defeat ten Republic Forces around the Signal Relays (part of All Clear Signal).
Click on the flashing blue panel to scan each one of the Signal Relays. Each time you click a panel, a few enemy NPCs will ambush you.

When you are inside the marked area for the main mission’s objective, click the icon next to your mission objective to deploy a Reconnaissance Probe.

When you are done, return to the camp and talk again to Captain Lantikus.
Guerilla Blockade walkthrough
Before you head out north to deploy another probe, first speak to Lieutenant Borgin, who is in a tent near the eastern wall of the camp. He will grant you “Guerilla Blockade” – another daily.

Head to the marked locations on your map. For the main mission, when you reach the destination, click the icon next to your mission objective to deploy a probe.

To complete Guerilla Blockade, head further south into the Derelict Swoop Tracks and defeat ten Republic Special Forces and recover four Shrapnel Mines.
Here is what a mine looks like (image below). The enemy NPCs you need for the mission are all around the place. Hint: don’t step on the mines :)))

When you are finished, head back to the camp to report to Lieutenant Borgin.
Minefield walkthrough
Next, talk to Sergeant Drexel, who is also in the same camp. He will give you “Minefield“.

For this one you have to go to the most eastern part of the Tularan Marsh. First, head to the marked location in the Durasteel Boneyard to deploy the third probe for the main mission.

Next, go south into the Derelict Swoop Tracks area to defeat 15 of Valhoun’s Vultures. To complete the optional bonus – defeat Valhoun himself too.

After you complete both objectives, head back to the camp and talk again to Sergeant Drexel. Then turn around and speak to Lord Vago. He will now be willing to speak to you personally. Surprise!
The Hidden Hangar walkthrough
Vago will give you “The Hidden Hangar” mission. The Republic Hangar is to the south-east from this camp, near the border of the Tularan Marsh.

Your job inside is to plant three Strike Beacons. One at the end of each one of the corridors of the Hangar. You get a bonus mini mission to defeat 25 Republic Forces in the area if you start fighting them. Click on the big doors to plant the beacons.

Now head back out and click on the blue terminal on the right side of the ship just outside the Hangar.

When you are done, go back to the camp and report to Lord Vago. That’s it. Now go back to Coloner Surab to finish the Empire Taris Bonus Series.
Mission Rewards
The rewards from these missions are nothing special. They are worth repeating if you struggle for XP while leveling, or for Conquest Points, but I don’t see how this would be the case with all of the solo and group content available elsewhere in the game.
The daily missions grant XP (scaling with your charracter’s level), Credits and some times a random Gear item. The main mission rewards you a Locked Supply Crate of your choosing (if you have already progressed through KOTFE Chapter 9).
The screenshots below display “Renown” as reward. This is no longer part of the game. The rest of the rewards shown are still valid in 2026.
