Everything you need to know about the Galactic Seasons system in SWTOR, which acts as a Battle Pass to incentivize players to play various activities to earn unique rewards.
BioWare first released the SWTOR Galactic Seasons system in Game Update 6.3 in April 2021. This system is an expansion to the Login Rewards system and offers players much more valuable and meaningful rewards for completing daily and weekly objectives in the game.
This guide will explain the basics of the Galactic Seasons, show you how the system works, what you need to do to earn rewards, what the rewards are and much much more.
I have modified this guide to serve as an introduction to the Galactic Seasons System in SWTOR and moved all Season 1-specific segments to the bottom.
Table of contents
There’s important info you would want to know in literally every segment of the guide, so take it slow and read all of it at your own pace. Let’s get started!
What are Galactic Seasons?
The Galactic Seasons is a level-based seasonal in-game system in SWTOR. You can actively earn unique and exclusive rewards by completing specific Daily and Weekly Conquest Objectives called Season Objectives. If you are a Subscriber, you will earn bonus rewards.
This system doesn’t offer new content. Instead, it re-uses existing content to give you a new and more meaningful purpose to visit places you haven’t been to in a long time and participate in a wider variety of activities.
The ultimate goal is to keep you engaged and log into SWTOR more frequently. This is why BioWare officially calls it an extension to the Daily Login system, which is not going anywhere. Both will work together in an attempt to keep players happy and entertained while repeating content they have already done in the past.
SWTOR is an MMO and farming the same content is a natural part of the game’s philosophy. With the Daily Logins Rewards and Galactic Seasons systems you have even more reasons to get into the game and play it.
The Galactic Seasons are designed to last quite a long time. Their duration may change with future development, but the span of each season should always be four to five months.
How Galactic Seasons work?
The entire Galactic Seasons system is Legacy-wide. This includes the levels you progress through and rewards you earn. The items you earn will be added to your collections, which is a great way to spread them to your other characters in your Legacy.
The Galactic Seasons will work for you even if you don’t pay attention to the current objectives. If you complete an objective without even knowing about it, you will still gain the benefit of doing so. In this regard it is similar to the Galactic Conquest system. In fact, there are more similarities between the two.
How to access the Galactic Seasons
Both Subscribers and Free-to-play players have access to the Galactic Seasons system in SWTOR. To see your progress, open up the Daily Login Rewards window and navigate to the second tab at the top.
Alternatively, you can access it through a special button in the drop-down menu that appears when you log in to a character. Learn more about the complete SWTOR User Interface guide.
Galactic Seasons window overview
The Galactic Seasons Window consists of two major areas. At the top you will see the name of the current Galactic Season. The lower section lists your progression and items earned/claimed during the season.
The first season, as shown in the example image, is called “The Stranger from Kubindi”. Next to that you will see your current progress on the Daily and Weekly objectives.
The Galactic Seasons system is structured around levels you earn as you complete the designated “Season Objectives”. You earn Galactic Season XP to level up in that system.
If you click on either of the Daily or Weekly Season Objectives, the game will open up the second tab below, which will display the available objectives for the current week.
The other tab shows your current progress through the season’s levels and rewards. At the top you see your current level progression. Below are buttons that allow you to spend in-came Credits or real-life money in the form of Cartel Coins to unlock levels instead of completing them by doing the objectives.
Subscribers earn additional rewards from leveling up. Once you gain up a level, you have to press on the button “Claim”. Then you will get the specific reward(s) from this level and receive them into the inventory of your current character.
Subscriber players earn rewards from both rows, while F2P and Preferred only earn the rewards from the first row.
How to earn Galactic Seasons levels
There are three methods of earning Galactic Season XP, which fuels the Galactic Season Levels. The main method is to complete the specific Daily and Weekly Season Objectives. The second method is to log in any four days during the week to earn some Galactic Season Points through the Login Rewards system. The third method is to pay with Credits or Cartel Coins to “skip” through the levels.
There are one hundred (100) Galactic Season Levels you have to go through to earn all possible rewards from this system. There are two major differences between how Subscribers and F2P players will progress through the Galactic Seasons levels:
- If you are not a Subscriber, you will earn Galactic Season Points at a slower rate. While you are not a subscriber, you will only earn the “Free” tier rewards.
- As soon as you subscribe, you will automatically receive all of the “Subscriber” rewards up to your current level. (example below).
Example: If you have reached Galactic Seasons level 23, while not subscribed, when you subscribe for a month, you will immediately receive all of the rewards from the “Suibscriber” tier up to level 23 from the current season.
Starting with Season 2, the developers changed slightly how you earn the rewards in favor of completing Weekly Objectives. There are a total of eleven Weekly Season Objectives. You can complete seven, whichever seven you choose. You then get locked out of the other three. The Daily Objective is only one now and it simply tasks you to earn 25k Conquest Points to complete it. This is an additional level of freedom to play whatever you want in SWTOR and still get rewarded for your efforts.
How to catch up on leveling
If you are unable to play SWTOR regularly and miss some time during a season, you have two opportunities to catch up and unlock any number of levels you want. Keep in mind that these paying options are both very expensive.
Pay with
Credits
As the Galactic Season progresses, you can spend Credits to catch up. This system is based on an “expected average cadence” determined by the system, allowing players who fall behind to access this progression method.
It will not be immediately available at the start of the Season, but rather appear as the Season continues for eligible players. For the duration of the season, each Catch-Up credit skip will exponentially increase the cost of the next one.
Pay with
Cartel Coins
As soon as the Galactic Season starts, you will already be able to jump ahead by purchasing levels with Cartel Coins.
Both the Free and Subscriber tiers of rewards offer primarily cosmetic items and things that will not have a direct impact on your combat performance.
If you are swimming in Cartel Coins you can even opt to purchase all 100 Galactic Season 1 levels right away.
It will cost you exactly 10,000 Cartel Coins. The system will need a moment to take this amount out of your account and unlock the rewards. Then you can claim them.
There’s a small twist here, though. The Subscriber Track grants you Cartel Coins at a number of levels. The total amount of Cartel Coins you will earn when you get to Galactic Season 2 Level 100, will be 4,000 CC.
This means that technically the amount of CC you will spend on the leveling process is “only” 6,000. The rest, however, you cannot transfer back into real-life money, so you will still need to spend money to get 10,000 CC in the first place.
Where to find the Daily and Weekly Priority Objectives
There are two Daily Season Objectives that rotate every day and two Weekly Objectives that you can complete.
These Season Objectives will also be marked as such and their descriptions will be different than the regular Conquest Objectives. The Season Objectives’ backgrounds are different than the Conquest objectives to help you distinguish them even easier.
In general the Daily Season Objectives will be solo-able, while for the Weekly Season Objectives you will more than likely need a team to complete them.
At the end of this every one of our Galactic Season guides, you will find a table with all objectives for each week.
What rewards can you get?
The Galactic Seasons will offer rare and often exclusive rewards to players, who participate regularly or have deep pockets and catch up by paying for their Galactic Season Levels.
The Rewards earned through the Free and Subscriber Tiers are designed to be unique. More on Vendors later in this guide!
In either case, here are the highlights of rewards from both tracks. Note that below I will list absolutely every single reward and the level at which you will earn it.
What are Galactic Season Tokens and how to get them
Galactic Season Tokens are a new and unique currency, added to SWTOR with Game Update 6.3. They can only be earned trough the Galactic Seasons Levels and in very small quantities.
Galactic Seasons Fleet Vendors
There are two vendors located in the Supply section on the Republic and Empire Fleets, offering very rare and unique items, part of the Galactic Seasons system. They require the new currency called Galactic Season Tokens to trade their goodies with you.
Around the two vendors you can check out a preview of some of the items they may be offering.
Galactic Season 1 Guide and Rewards List
Galactic Season 1 Rewards highlights
The top and most interesting to many of you (probably) will be the new companion reward. His name is Altuuk zok Adon and he is a member of the Kubaz species in Star Wars.
At the end of the season you will have the opportunity to walk away with the following:
- Altuur at Rank 50 Influence. Subscribers will have the opportunity to walk away from Season 1 with a new, fully influenced companion character.
- A high quality Weapon for Altuur. Subscribers will have the opportunity to earn a Weapon specific to Altuur.
- A high quality Armor Set for Altuur. Subscribers will have the opportunity to earn an Armor Set specific to Altuur.
- A Companion Customization for Altuur. Subscribers will have the opportunity to earn a Customization option for Altuur.
Things you need to know about the new Season 1 companion Altuur
How to get Altuur zok Adon? To earn this companion, you need to claim the Ornate Kubaz Box, which is a reward for reaching Level 1 in Galactic Season 1. After you claim the item, click on it in your inventory and you will get a new Alliance Alert called “The Stranger from Kubindi”.
Here are a few important things you need to know about earning, playing with and leveling Altuur’s infuence:
With all of the Companion gifts between the two reward tracks, Subscribers who reach level 100 will be guaranteed to have Altuur zok Adon at Rank 50 Influence by the end of the Season.
Just like other Companions, sending Altuur zok Adon on Crew Skill missions will increase his Influence. Additionally, the Commander’s Compendium will increase his influence to Rank 50.
Once you have reached Rank 50 Influence with Altuur zok Adon, you will unlock a new Legacy Unlock that allows you to purchase Altuur’s companion gifts with Credits. Visit Jaleit Nall, located in the Galactic Seasons alcove on the Fleet to purchase the gifts.
It is intended for only one of the Strongholds to be obtainable during one Season, so you will be able to acquire the other in the following Season.

Seasonal Vendor Items List and Pricing
Ki’at Thavo’s inventory is a collection of Seasonal rewards available on the Subscriber reward track. Purchasing items from his inventory requires Galactic Season Tokens. This allows Free-to-Play or Preferred players a chance to get some of the items from the Subscriber tier, but only a few.
While the Season is underway, Subscriber players will not be eligible to purchase items from Ki’at Thavo to help prevent accidental purchases of rewards they can earn later from the Subscriber Reward Track.
Ki’at Thavo’s inventory is Seasonal, and will completely refresh with all new rewards at the start of Season 2 in ~five months.

Non-Seasonal Vendor Items List and Pricing
Jaleit Nall features classic and previously unobtainable promotional rewards with a few new things sprinkled in, such as the Carrick Station and Vaiken Spacedock Penthouse Strongholds! Everything available from this vendor can be purchased with the Galactic Season Tokens earned through the two Seasonal Reward Tracks.
Jaleit Nall’s inventory will rotate over time. While the new Fleet Apartment Strongholds will be available all the way through Season 2, all of the other rewards will be on a varied 3-5 week rotation. Using the Companion Dazh Ranos as an example, after being available for five weeks, she’ll then be unavailable for five weeks before appearing again. Not all rewards will be available on the vendor at the same time.
Here is the full list of items at the moment (if you notice it has been changed or updated in-game, and I haven’t updated it yet here, please let me know – thanks!)

The two most valuable items on the Non-Seasonal Vendor are the two Fleet Strongholds.
The gallery below consists of a mix of images sourced from BioWare and my own archives.
A word about the Fleet Strongholds
The two new Fleet Penthouse Strongholds are accessible at the beginning of the season, but you will only be able to purchase them at about the halfway mark.
Each of the Strongholds costs 8 Galactic Season Tokens and you can earn up to fifteen for the entire first season (reminder: it lasts five months). This means you can only unlock one of the two now and will have to wait for another season to come and half it to unlock the second stronghold.
Thankfully, I have an in-depth guide to the SWTOR Fleet Strongholds. There you can learn everything about them and make an informed decision which one to get first.
