This guide will help you get all five SWTOR Datacrons on Voss. From the best starting point to the exact location where you can collect them. And, of course, the Data Codex Entry lore behind each Datacron!

Datacrons are hidden collectible items in SWTOR that provide a permanent stat boost to all of your characters within your Legacy on a server.

There are dozens of Datacrons spread across both the Republic and Empire factions in SWTOR. Each Datacron you collect permanently boosts the stats of every character you have, including new characters. Every Datacron also unlocks a Codex Entry which unlocks Lore for you to read.

This guide goes over all the Datacrons that you can find on the planet Voss. Voss is accessible to both Republic and Empire players. It’s located in the Hutt Space. You can get the Datacrons with a character of either faction.

Each walkthrough segment of the guide always begins with the recommended starting point on the map and ends with the location of the Datacron itself and the Data Codex Entry.

SWTOR Datacron Green Voss Endurance Datacron Location

This Datacron will permanently increase your Endurance with +4. It unlocks the Galactic History 73 Codex Entry.

To get this Datacron, you need to first complete a short story arc to unlock the area where it is located. To do that, talk to Suva-Rak, who is located in the Pilgrim Retreat (for both factions), part of The Old Paths zone on Voss (top left on the map).

The last quest in this mini-chain is called “The Trials”. After you complete it, you will be able to access the Shrine of Healing.

Enter the Shrine of Healing and go to the very end. In the middle of the large room is the Datacron. To access it, you need to first go to the far right corner (northeast) and Meditate in front of the Crystal there.

Click on the green crystal and wait for the meditation channel to complete. Then head back to collect the Datacron.

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +4 Endurance to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 73 – The Battle of Malachor V

Ignoring the Jedi Council’s disapproval, the Jedi generals Revan and Malak had gone to war against the Mandalorians, gradually pushing the warriors back. After lengthy maneuvering, Revan chose the planet Malachor Five as his final battleground.

As Republic and Mandalorian ships clashed, Revan challenged Mandalore himself to single combat and defeated him, claiming the mask that was Mandalore’s symbol of leadership. Meanwhile, one of Revan’s generals enacted Revan’s fearful plan, activating a superweapon called the Mass Shadow Generator.

The Mass Shadow Generator destroyed not only the Mandalorian fleet, but most of the Republic ships and much of the planet Malachor Five. The Republic suffered horrific losses, but Revan, hardened by years of war, saw it as a necessary price for victory. Leaderless, the remnants of the Mandalorian fleet fled into the Unknown Regions, with Revan and Malak in pursuit.

SWTOR Datacron Orange Voss Orange Mastery Datacron Location

This Datacron will permanently increase your Mastery with +4. It unlocks the Galactic History 74 Codex Entry.

The datacron is in The Nightmare Lands zone (the eastern region of the world map). Follow the Patchblight Path to the west of the Sha-Thes Meadow. This is a semi-narrow opening between two rocky mountain ridges.

For Republic players, the closest Quick Travel is Shad-Ka Outpost in the south. For Imperial characters, the Quick Travel for this area is in the north and is called Ghen’s Overlook.

This is a Heroic Area. At the top of the hill, you will find a construction – a shaft dug into the ground. The Datacron is in it, but you have to first remove the purple shield to access it.

The Shaft

There is a small terminal on one of the two pedestals on the western side of the shard. This is what unlocks the shielding.

Head east from the shaft to the derelict walker. Examine the body just outside the front side of the walker to obtain the Shield Codes.

Now, head back to the terminal and press it to deactivate the shield. You can now jump into the shaft. The elevator will start moving down as soon as you deactivate the shield, so be careful when you jump down. The Datacron is at the bottom of the shaft.

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +4 Mastery to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 74 – Revan and Malak Fall

Finally, the Mandalorians had been routed. The Jedi generals Revan and Malak had killed Mandalore and hounded the remnants of the enemy fleet far beyond the boundaries of Republic space–and in so doing, performed terrible deeds and learned dark powers.

But there were darker days to come. During Revan’s pursuit of the Mandalorians, he and Malak discovered the ancient Sith Empire hidden on Dromund Kaas. Realizing this Empire was the true threat to the Republic, Revan and Malak faced the Sith Emperor himself, intending to cut off the serpent’s head–but the Emperor was too powerful. Overwhelmed by the Emperor’s dark presence, they pledged themselves to his service.

The Sith Emperor anointed Revan and Malak as true Sith Lords and sent them to seek out the Star Forge, an ancient alien space station capable of producing powerful starships and droids. Never revealing the existence of the Emperor, Revan and Malak then returned to the armies that had followed them against the Mandalorians, armed their loyal servants with the Star Forge’s weapons, and marched to war against the Republic.

SWTOR Datacron Yellow Voss Presence Datacron Location

This Datacron will permanently increase your Presence with +4. It unlocks the Galactic History 75 Codex Entry.

The Yellow Presence Datacron is in the northeastern part of The Nightmare Lands. The closest Quick Travel for Republic is the Kri-Ta Outpost in the southeastern corner of The Pelath-Ri Marches region. Empire Players can Quick Travel to Ghen’s Overlook.

The starting point for both factions is Lake of the Unseen in the right top corner on the map. There, you will find a shrine and three Voss Mystic NPCs meditating. Click on the Meditation Tablet.

This will teleport you to the Spirit World. You are now in a small cave with a few Voss Mystics meditating around a stone platform. The Datacron is in the very center.

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +4 Presence to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 75 – The Jedi Civil War

Revan and Malak, once great Jedi, had turned to the dark side and sought to conquer the Republic. With an infinite fleet produced by the Star Forge space station, they seemed as unstoppable as the Mandalorians. They took control of entire systems and established a new Sith academy on Korriban.

This time, the Jedi Council did not hesitate to act. The Republic lured the Sith Lords into battle against a small fleet. This allowed a Jedi strike team led by Bastila Shan to board Darth Revan’s flagship.

Darth Malak had plans of his own. Having grudgingly taken his role as Revan’s apprentice, he decided to usurp his master. With the Jedi providing a perfect distraction, Malak fired on Revan’s flagship, destroying the bridge. Malak claimed the title of Dark Lord, not realizing the Jedi strike team had survived and taken Revan–injured, but alive–as their prisoner.

Galactic History 76 – Revan is Remade

Throughout Jedi history, the order has always refused to execute prisoners. When the wounded Darth Revan–the fallen Jedi responsible for countless deaths and acts of war–was captured, the Jedi Council saw an opportunity to stop Revan’s successor, Darth Malak.

Using the Force, the Jedi reprogrammed Revan’s mind with a new identity–that of an ordinary Republic citizen. Alongside Bastila Shan, a Jedi gifted in Battle Meditation, Revan began seeking out Rakata star maps, unwittingly retracing the path to the Star Forge battle station that served as Darth Malak’s secret weapon.

Along the way, Revan retrained as a Jedi and learned of his terrible past. Aboard the Star Forge, he saved the life of Bastila Shan and faced Darth Malak in battle. Finally, Revan struck Malak down, ending a galactic threat and the Jedi Civil War.

SWTOR Datacron Purple Voss Purple Mastery Datacron Location

This Datacron will permanently increase your Mastery with +4. It unlocks the Galactic History 77 Codex Entry.

The starting point for the rather long, but simple trek to get this Datacron starts at the southeastern corner of The Old Paths zone, in the Beastmark Hills. If you are a Republic player, the Ken-La Outpost is in the northern part of the zone. For Imperials, Fort Kodentha is at the south end of the map.

Follow the path leading southeast from the starting point. Across the second Nexu Bloodstalker, you will see the path leading up and to the left. Climb up. The path transforms into a narrow passageway with rocky formations on both sides.

Keep your eyes up. Before you reach the end of the narrow passage, high on the right side of the mountain, you will spot a cave tunnel opening. To reach it, you have to jump up a few rocks.

A few more jumps up and you will reach the entrance to one of the tunnels that connect the zones on Voss. These tunnels are primarily used for shuttles to pass through.

Few more jumps

The tunnel doesn’t even have its own map. As soon as you enter, your minimap will change to the Voss-Ka zone map.

You will exit the tunnel into a small secluded area, surrounded by tall rocky mountainsides. In the middle of a circle of stone pillars, the Purple Mastery Datacron awaits you.

Galactic History 77 – Return to the Unknown Regions

With Darth Malak gone and the Star Forge destroyed, peace returned to the galaxy. The Republic and the Jedi began regaining strength after the Jedi Civil War.

But for the redeemed Jedi Revan, peace was fleeting. Old memories began to surface–fragmented memories of the lost Sith Empire building strength on Dromund Kaas. Revan knew that the Sith would not remain in the Unknown Regions forever, and that the Republic was not strong enough to face them.

Finally, Revan made a decision. After leaving behind instructions with allies like Bastila Shan and Carth Onasi, Revan left for the Unknown Regions hoping to put an end to the Sith Empire. He was never seen again.
