Datacrons are hidden collectible items in SWTOR that provide a permanent stat boost to all of your characters within your Legacy on a server.

There are dozens of Datacrons spread across both the Republic and Empire factions in SWTOR. Each Datacron you collect permanently boosts the stats of every character you have, including new characters. Every Datacron also unlocks a Codex Entry which unlocks Lore for you to read.

This guide goes over all the Datacrons that you can find on the planet Makeb. Located in Hutt Space, Makeb is the featured planet of the Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion.

Galactic History 88 – The Unlikely Champion

Established in ancient times, the Great Hunt is a Mandalorian contest of skill and glory overseen by the venerable Wookiee Huntmaster. Though the clans had been scattered, there was an attempt to keep the Great Hunt and its traditions alive. However, during one Great Hunt, the Mandalorians were surprised to see a droid among the competitors–an utterly unprecedented event.

After questioning the droid–an obsolete construction model–the Huntmaster overrode objections from conservative hunters and allowed its entry. The nameless droid proceeded to outwit and out-gun its way to victory in the Great Hunt.

When the droid returned to claim its title as champion, more arguments ensued. Ression Trana, a prominent clan leader, claimed loudly that a droid champion mocked Mandalorian traditions. The droid listened patiently until Trana accused it of being a proxy for a cowardly hunter. Without hesitation, the droid kicked Ression Trana, mid-sentence, through a window. In the aftermath, the droid earned not only the title of Grand Champion, but also its nickname: “the Defenestrator”.

SWTOR Datacron Green Makeb Endurance Datacron Location

This Datacron will permanently increase your Endurance with +10. It unlocks the Galactic History 89 Codex Entry for Players.

Important: Dying or failing a jump at anytime will respawn you far away, meaning you will have to redo all puzzles from scratch if you make a mistake.

The closest travel point for this Datacron is in the Frinn Mesa Outpost Quick Travel Point for both factions.

Makeb Endurance Datacron Starting Location

Once you have arrived at the starting point next to the Republic Base, follow the edge of the Frinn Mesa and drop down onto the path below. There should be several Perekta birds marking the way to go.

Makeb Endurance Datacron Guide

Follow the mossy rocks around the edge. When you reach the end, cross the muslide and keep following the edge around the Mesa.

Makeb Endurance Datacron Guide

Once you have followed the path all the way until the end, make sure you are dismounted and jump very carefully to the bunker below. Take the elevator inside the bunker.

Once you have taken the elevator, cross the bridge and climb up the diagonal metal beam on the right side.

Makeb Endurance Datacron Guide

Once you get to the top of the metal beam. Walk back along the flat edge and across several beams until you can jump ontop of two pipes to reach the top of the bridge.

Once you have reached the top, run back to where you came from originally and climb up the large metal wall from the red pipes.

Makeb Endurance Datacron Guide

At the top there will be several rocky ledges. Be careful and heal to 100% HP after every jump as some will hurt you for over 90% of your HP even if you jump correctly.

Our aim is to go down slowly and safely between each rocky ledge without reaching the Bridge.

Once you can see the large metal hinge of the bridge, jump down safely onto it but do NOT go to the bridge. Keep jumping downwards towards the big platform below.

Be careful for hostile Underwalkers in the area, they can knock you off the edge. However if you see them you know you are going the right way.

Once you land on the hovering platform, use your mount to leap across to the rocky gap. You may fall if you jump normally. Once you make it keep jumping down and follow the rocky edges to the next area.

Once you have gotten to the end. You should see a large platform that moves up and down. Wait for it to get all the way to the bottom before using your Mount to jump onto it safely. Heal up as you may nearly die.

Once you land on the platform, heal up and wait for it to get all the way to the top and stop moving. Use your mount again to leap onto the square platform to the right. You may have to heal again.

Follow the bright metal path to the far side of the new platform and jump diagonally across a gap onto a very small metal pole.

Cross the metal platform diagonally and jump down safely onto the rocky floor below. Travel east and let yourself slide down a small gap to reach the next rocky ledge.

Once you reach the rocky ledge, jump diagonally onto the metal beam and follow the scaffholding to the machine in the distance. From here you just need to follow the metal ledges until you reach the Datacron!

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +10 Endurance to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 89 – Capturing the Dread Masters

One of the Sith Emperor’s mightiest weapons in the Great War was also one of his oldest: six ancient Sith Lords known as the Dread Masters who had served the Emperor for centuries. Meditating in unison, they could inflict crippling fear to shatter enemy armies’ morale, causing Republic troop formations to abandoned their allies mid-battle, and sending entire battle fleets running blindly into hyperspace.

Slowly, the Jedi pieced together the truth of these events. They joined forces with an elite Republic Special Forces unit, who stole the security codes for the Dread Masters’ heavily-guarded dreadnaught. Hijacking an Imperial Moff’s personal yacht, a Republic strike team boarded the dreadnaught and, aided by Jedi Master Jaric Kaedan, captured the Dread Masters. The dreadnaught was rigged for self-destruct to cover the strike team’s escape.

The Republic officially announced that the Dread Masters had been killed, even as the Jedi secretly arranged their imprisonment on Belsavis. However, the loss of the Dread Masters antagonized the Dark Council, and may have contributed to the Empire’s decision to attack Alderaan.
