Vulkk by Vulkk|

This guide will help you get all three SWTOR Datacrons on Quesh. From the best starting point to the exact location where you can collect them. And, of course, the Data Codex Entry lore behind each Datacron!

This guide is created for VULKK.com by Kal from TodayinTOR.

Datacrons are hidden collectible items in SWTOR that provide a permanent stat boost to all of your characters within your Legacy on a server.

There are dozens of Datacrons spread across both the Republic and Empire factions in SWTOR. Each Datacron you collect permanently boosts the stats of every character you have, including new characters. Every Datacron also unlocks a Codex Entry which unlocks Lore for you to read.

This guide goes over all the Datacrons that you can find on the planet Quesh. Located in Hutt Space, Quesh requires starting the Purple Story Quest on the Orbital Station in order to travel to the Planet.

Quesh is accessible to Both factions. Each walkthrough segment of the guide always begins with the recommended starting point on the map and ends with the location of the Datacron itself and the Data Codex Entry.

Quesh Orange Mastery Datacron Location

The starting point to this datacron starts on the dotted road just South of the road that goes to the Three Families Palace above the Republic Base.

Once you have followed the road to the hillside, walk up the left side of the dirt hill and keep walking past a tree as well as over several rocks. You will eventually cross over a metal wall.

Once you have walked over the metal wall, keep following the wall around in a circle until you reach a large metal box. Once you get to the end, jump down off the box and onto the new path below.

Follow the Security Fence around the edge of the factory until you find a broken hole in the fence. Enter the hole and you are now inside the Factory with the Datacron.

The fastest path to the Datacron now that you are inside the Fence is by going underneath a set of pipes then around the second. The Datacron should be directly to your South at all times when you enter through the hole.

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +4 Mastery to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 58 – Ulic’s Trials

The Brotherhood of the Sith was ready to strike. The fallen Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma, the Sith sorceress Aleema and Mandalore gathered their armies to attack Coruscant. But they underestimated Coruscant’s Jedi defenders. The Brotherhood’s forces were repelled, and Ulic was captured.

Ulic was taken to the Senate tower to stand trial. But the Jedi Master Vodo Siosk-Baas sensed that Ulic hadn’t acted alone, that Siosk-Baas’s old student, Exar Kun, was involved. During the trial, Exar Kun himself marched into the Senate tower with his Massassi warriors. He subdued the assembly with his Force abilities and humiliated the Supreme Chancellor.

Vodo Siosk-Baas then entered, challenging his former pupil. Exar Kun’s unusual double-bladed lightsaber and dark powers prevailed, however, and Siosk-Baas was killed. Exar Kun and Ulic then left Coruscant and returned to Yavin Four to prepare for the next battle.

Reaching the Datacron

The entrance to the cave holding the Datacron is found in the direct center of the map, very close to the Imperial Outpost Taxi for Imperial Players.

Quesh Endurance Datacron Starting Location

Once you have arrived, look for the entrance to the Cave, there are some level 36 enemy droids inside.

Follow the only path until you reach the ‘center’ of the Cave. Stop at the metal wall, do not enter the middle.

There is a computer that will lock the middle of the Cave with laser walls and fill it with toxic gas that will kill all players in the room in roughly 30 seconds. Make sure to remember where the button is.

Inside the room is 2 computer buttons, the same design as the button to lock the room. Both have to be pressed within 5 seconds of each other.

Once you have memorised the locations of the buttons, be prepared to do the Datacron.

Group Method

The easiest method is the Group Method, you can do this with as little as 2 players even if they are not in your group. To start, have one group member stand at one of the buttons, while you get ready at the door.

Quesh Endurance Datacron Location - Group Method

Once the toxic gas starts, run to the button and click it, your friend should click their button at the same time, the shield to the Datacron should now be unlocked.

Solo Method

Start by placing your Phasewalk or Hololocate at the furthest button from the door. Then when you are ready, stand inside the door on the metal floor, as pictured above. This way you can move your camera around to click the button and stay inside the room.

Quesh Endurance Datacron Location - Solo Method

Run over and click the closest button then use Phase Walk or Hololocate to click the second button. The shield to the Datacron should now be unlocked.

Datacron

Once both buttons have been pressed and the Toxic Gas stops, you will have roughly 30 seconds before the shield that blocks the Datacron will be reactivated. Run directly South and through the doorway to the next cave.

Quesh Endurance Datacron Location - Solo Method

Should you make it through to the cave and leave other people behind, you can unlock the Shield that blocks the Datacron by using this computer on the other side of the wall. This means that others do not have to do the puzzle again.

Now you can clearly run through the cave Southward towards the datacron.

Successfully collecting the Datacron will give you +4 Endurance to all characters and the following Codex Entry:

Galactic History 59 – Aleema’s Fate

Treachery is the way of the Sith. Ulic Qel-Droma’s capture on Coruscant had been engineered partly by his ally, the Sith sorceress Aleema Keto: she had ordered Mandalore to withdraw their forces at a critical moment. However, after Mandalore helped to rescue Ulic from Coruscant, he secretly told Ulic everything. Aleema’s fate was sealed.

Feigning ignorance, Ulic continued with the Sith Brotherhood’s plans. Using Naga Sadow’s ancient battleship, the Corsair, they planned to lure the Republic fleet into the Cron Cluster and use the Corsair to destroy its suns, annihilating the fleet.

Aleema took the Corsair into the Cron Cluster and activated the superweapon, but Ulic had deliberately not warned her of the consequences. The blast annihilated the entire Cron Cluster in a supernova, sending a shockwave toward the Jedi world of Ossus. The Corsair itself was consumed, taking Aleema with it.

The closest travel point for this Datacron is in the Imperial Waypoint Quick Travel Point for Imperial Players and War Outpost Quick Travel Point for Republic Players.

Quesh Red Mastery Datacron Starting Location

You need to travel on the Eastern-half of Quesh, this means as an Imperial Player you will need to travel to Imperial Outpost then take the road through the middle of the map. Then south all the way back down and around to the outside of the Imperial Base.

Follow the outside of the walls and stay on the dirt and stone-cliffs at all times. Go past all the trees.

Once you get to the end, do not follow the stone rocks, instead find this gap in the quarry near the last tree and squeeze into it.

Once you have gone through the gap, look for this angled edge of quarry and jump onto it, follow the top of the white-stone wall around to the dirt hill and climb.

Once you have climbed to the top the Datacron should be in your sight.

Galactic History 60 – The Destruction of Ossus

The Brotherhood of the Sith had annihilated the Cron Cluster in a supernova, sending a massive shockwave towards the planet Ossus. Home to the Jedi for countless generations, Ossus safeguarded vast libraries and storehouses of artifacts.

As the Jedi scrambled to save their treasures from the coming cataclysm, the Sith Brotherhood leaders Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma arrived to raid the planet. Exar Kun managed to claim a number of notable Jedi artifacts. Meanwhile, Ulic fought against the Republic and Jedi forces only to be challenged by his own brother, Cay.

The two brothers fought until Ulic finally struck Cay down. The shock of his brother’s death left Ulic stunned with horror. The Jedi Nomi, who had once loved Ulic, was overcome with grief and used her tremendous powers to somehow sever Ulic’s connection to the Force. Left powerless, Ulic wept at what he had become.
