Full overview and some thoughts on the SWTOR Imperial Console Decoration Bundle, newly released with 7.2.1, giving you a chance to be the best darn mindless factotum in the Sith Empire!
The Imperial Console Decoration Bundle is available for purchase on the Cartel Market with all decorations being various computer consoles deployed by the Empire. This decoration bundle contains 9 unique items, all of which come with 2 or more copies for a total of 22 decorations. All 6 of the floor decos fit on Small, Medium, and Narrow hooks while the 3 wall decos all fit on both Wall Small and Wall Medium hooks. O
They’re a bit more detailed than other computers found in the game while looking pretty slick and super authentic, but they’re distractingly puny. The small size makes them nearly impossible to use in the same room with the vast majority of other decos in the game.
While the scale is similar, they can’t even be combined all that well with the Experimental Trooper decos from the Hired Gun’s Journey Decoration Bundle because the dimensions are wrong:
I get the impression that the skilled artists BioWare has tasked with making these decos are disconnected from the rest of the team in some way, perhaps they contracted deco creation out to another team.
I can’t recommend the Imperial Console Decoration Bundle because they look so out of place with almost everything except others made by the same team, including the Security Office, Power Station, and Hired Gun’s Journey Decoration Bundles. Even then, there just aren’t enough decos of this size to fill up even the smallest SHs on their own and they look a tad ridiculous in the gigantic rooms anyway.
Hopefully, BioWare can get this sorted out by clarifying their size requirements with the appropriate people and just increasing the size of the existing models to match that of the other decos so they’re actually usable.
