BioWare celebrates the release of Star Wars Jedi Survivor in SWTOR with a gift to all players – a new JR-4 Recon Droid mini-pet droid. You can claim him if you log in now!

Star Wars Jedi Survivor launched on April 28th, 2023. BioWare joins the celebration party and offers a free mini-pet droid gift to every player who logs into the game between April 28th, 2023 and May 3rd, 2023.

To celebrate the launch of STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor, STAR WARS: The Old Republic™ players will be able to get a new free mini-pet inspired by Cal’s companion, BD-1. Players only need to log into the game from April 28th, 2023 – 12:00 PM GMT to May 3rd, 2023 – 12:00 PM GMT. Their own JR-4 Recon Droid mini-pet will be waiting for them in their in-game mail.

As always, when you log in with any of your characters, you will secure this mini-pet droid for all of your other alts and future not-yet-created characters.

As soon as you log in, you will have the droid in the mail with the following message from BioWare:

“Thank you for being a member of the Star Wars: The Old Republic community!

To Celebrate the release of Jedi: Survivor, please enjoy the attached JR-4 Recon Droid! Inspired by Cal Kestis’s BD-1 droid, this pet will follow you on your adventures throughout the Old Republic!

You can claim your in-game reward by right clicking on the item below to accept it into your inventory.

May the Force be with you!”

As you can imagine, this is a reskin of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order mini-pet droid that BioWare gave away for free when the first game launched in 2019.

Friday Morning, when this gift was supposed to start happening, BioWare made a mistake, it seems. They released another mini-pet droid, called B1-SAL Probe. It looks like a mini version of Andor’s droid. This only occurred in a short period of time before the developers fixed the issue, but quite a lot of players managed to obtain this droid.

Here is a preview of the B1-SAL droid, thanks to Intisar:
