SWTOR Galactic Season 5 Guide and Rewards List

Galactic Season 5 “Confidence in Power” started with the release of SWTOR 7.3.1. Here’s everything you need to know about it!

What is the Galactic Season System

The Galactic Seasons is a level-based seasonal in-game system in SWTOR. You can actively earn unique and exclusive rewards by completing specific Daily and Weekly Conquest Objectives called Priority Objectives. If you are a Subscriber, you will earn bonus rewards.

The entire Galactic Seasons system is Legacy-wide. This includes the levels you progress through and rewards you earn. The items you earn will be added to your collections, which is a great way to spread them to the other characters in your Legacy.

Both Subscribers and Free-to-play players have access to the Galactic Seasons system in SWTOR. To see your progress, open up the Daily Login Rewards window and navigate to the second tab at the top.

Galactic Season 5 Rewards Highlights

This segment will showcase the most interesting items that you can earn if you participate in GS5. Below the Highlights section, you will find a more detailed overview of what item is available where and how you can get it.

No New Companion

Unlike previous Galactic Seasons, there will not be a new companion with this season. Eric Musco, SWTOR’s Lead Game Producer, explained on the forums that this was for “a variety of reasons” including that it allows for the “great character-driven story” that comes with each season won’t be limited by a companion anymore.

In addition, they suddenly recognized that we have a lot of companions and want future ones to be meaningful and more fleshed out and that Galactic Seasons isn’t the best venue for that. He implied that Lane Vizla, Shae’s cousin who gave us the little side mission arc with the Basilisk War Mounts on Ruhnuk, would be the next companion we get.

Instead of the new companion and its associated cosmetics, we’ll be getting the following:

• More Seasonal Reputation items
• 5 New Personnel Decorations based on popular armor sets
• A new unique consumable item that grants Jawa Intel to yourself as well as other players
• An ADORABLE Loth-cat Kitten pet
• A White and White Dye Module

A third variation of the seasonal armor set will be given as a reward for completing all of the season’s achievements instead of a companion customization.

New Mounts

There is a new creature mount with 4 color variants and a new speeder mount with 2 color variants.

Armasaur Creature Mount

The creature mounts aren’t as visually distinct as ones from past seasons have been, there’s only 2 colors and then each color has a version with some added lights and ornamentation, so it’s the same as how the PvP Seasons armors work.

The Hardy and Tenacious Armasaurs are obtainable from the Galactic Seasons Subscriber rewards track.

The Rugged and Unyielding Armasaurs are available for purchase for 3 Galactic Seasons Tokens each.

At the time of publishing, only the Rugged Armasaur was available for sale.

Imperial Tank Vehicle Mounts

The tanks are Imperial reskins of the Assault Speeder line of tank mounts, though they do have the Dynamic Mount Colors feature that makes their VFX match the color crystal in your mainhand.

The Imperial Enforcer Tank also gives +110% movement speed at Speeder Piloting Rank 1 instead of the usual +90%.

New Player Armor Sets in Galactic Season 5

There are 3 armor sets that are described to be the garb of high-ranking Imperial Officials. Two of the sets are unlocked on the subscriber reward track while the third is unlocked for completing all of the achievements related to Galactic Season 5.

New Dyes in Galactic Season 5

There are “3” stacks of 10 new Dyes available on the subscriber reward track.

The Light/Medium and Deep Red dyes are ridiculously similar looking, and effectively interchangeable unless you have a great eye for color or are stare at them side-by-side for a moment. The Light Red one is ever so slightly lighter than the Medium Red, as their names would suggest.

New Weapons in Galactic Season 5

There is a new weapon set with two color variants. The Hijacked weapons are available on the free set and feature a mixture of polished wood, black metal, and red lights. The subscriber rewards track weapons are named after a term that seems to be a synonym for “big problem” and add a bit of white detailing that covers some of the metal portions of each weapon and replaces some of the wood with another black material.

Loth-cat Kitten Pet

There is a Loth-cat Kitten Pet offered as a subscriber track reward at level 89.

New Stronghold Decorations in Galactic Season 5

There are 11 decos available this time around, 10 of them are available through the subscriber-only track. The only way to get those without subscribing is by purchasing an individual copy from Ki’at Thavo.

You get 10 copies of each of the GS5 story decos and 5 copies of the Personnel that use popular Cartel Market weapons and armors through the GS5 track. Each of the CM Personnel costs 4 Galactic Seasons Tokens whereas the GS5 story decos costs 2.

The Depository of Dark Wisdom is a clickable deco. If you click it enough times, you get a hidden achievement called “It’s Just Trash” worth 5 achievement points. Remember, it’s purchasable from Ki’at Thavo for 2 GS Tokens if you don’t want to wait until LV 74.

The only deco available to non-subscribers is the Waste Receptacle that can be set ablaze, available awarded at LV 5.

Not sure if Broadsword realized that they’re kind of equating F2P players with garbage fires…

New Titles and Stronghold Labels in Galactic Season 5

There are several new legacy titles and stronghold labels available from the rewards track and reputation.

• Stronghold Label: Emperor’s Respite (LV 24, sub)
• Stronghold Label: Dark Alleyway (LV 55, free)
• Legacy Title: Bad Vibes (LV 41, sub)
• Legacy Title: The Corrupted (LV 70. free)
• Legacy Title: Classified (Newcomer reputation)
• Legacy Title: Confidential (Hero reputation)
• Legacy Title: Top Secret (Legend reputation)

How to get the Galactic Season 5 Story on Alts

Since there is no companion, the 3 story missions are granted through consumables given on the free track levels 1, 15, and 40. Once you complete a mission, you will be able to repurchase the same single-use mission unlock from Jaleit Nall in exchange for 1 Galactic Season Token. Each unlock only becomes available for purchase after you have completed the mission once.

In other words, if you want to experience the GS5 Confidence in Power storyline on an alt, you will need to buy all 3 missions from Jaleit Nall for a total cost of 3 Galactic Seasons Tokens.

The mission order is:

1. Dark Tidings (LV 1)
2. Small Victories (LV 15)
3. Chains or Freedom (LV 40)

Update: Broadsword is working to get these missions in collections in response to player feedback.

New Reputation: The Master’s Top Secret Army and How to Earn It

There is a new reputation associated with Galactic Season 5.

Dark Spores drop from some reward track levels, defeating enemies throughout the galaxy (if you are below Legend reputation with The Master’s Top Secret Army) and from completing GS5 Season and Daily Objectives.

How to unlock The Master’s Top Secret Army reputation track

To unlock the new Reputation Track, you must first obtain and deposit a new currency called Dark Spores into the Depository of Dark Wisdom at the Northern (Imperial) and, presumably, Southern (Republic) edge of the Combat Training section of the Fleet next to where you first meet 3V-1L.

You can exchange these Dark Spores for associated reputation trophies. Consuming the first trophy will unlock the reputation track.

How to increase the drop rate of Dark Spores

There is an information broker Jawa named Brrazz located in the Cartel Bazaar hiding behind some crates in the northern part of the room.

When you talk to him, you can trade 500 Jawa Junk (purple) for Jawa Intel.

Jawa Intel is used to increase the drop rate of Notes of Reflection. If you’re running low on purple Jawa Junk, there is a Jawa named Fuleesh located next to the other Jawas in the Cartel Bazaar where you can convert green junk into blue and blue into purple.

You’ll also get 8 consumables throughout the GS5 free track (2 uses at 4 different levels) called Brrazz’s Gift: The Master’s Top Secret Army that grants the Jawa Intel buff to you and up to 8 nearby players.

Galactic Season 5 Fleet Vendors Contents

Jaleit Nall, the Classic and Non-Seasonal Rewards vendor offers items that were previously time-limited and available to only Subscribers. Ki’at Thavo, the Seasonal Rewards vendor, has an updated inventory with some of the rewards from the Galactic Season 5 track. The items listed as for sale by each vendor from Broadsword do not exactly match what is available from each vendor in the actual game.

There are several benefits to selling this selection of items from the GS5 track in exchange for Galactic Seasons Tokens:

• It allows F2P players to obtain some items from the subscriber-only track
• Offers a way for everybody to procure additional copies of the decos (you only get 5 from the track)
• Provides a way for players to still get some of the items even after the season has ended
• Offers brand new items for players that don’t have anything else to spend their tokens on.

Jaleit Nall Rotating Rewards

Jaleit Nall always sells the Stronghold Deeds, GS5 Story Missions (after they’ve been completed), and unique companion gifts for each of the Galactic Seasons companions. The rest of her stock rotates weekly and cycles through her entire stock every month, so there are 4 different stock lists.

Galactic Season 5 Achievements List

As with previous Galactic Seasons in SWTOR, there are only standard achievements available, nothing secret, nothing hidden.

There are 11 achievements available with the last one “Shades of Darkness” unlocking for you the Empire Director Armor Set. Below you can see the full list and requirements for each achievement.
