This article covers the SWTOR Cartel Market Sales for the 2023-2024 Holiday Season, most of which run from December 13th, 2023 to January 4th, 2024, including details on the 50% off Collection Unlock sale.
Initially, Broadsword wanted to try a completely new holiday sale approach that featured several different categories of sales taking place at different times throughout the holiday season. The categories vary in terms of sale duration and item type, including daily specials on popular items and select Life Day items, along with sales that last through the holiday season.
In addition, the Enhanced Dyes will be available for direct sale, rotating out weekly from December 5th, 2023 to January 6th, 2024.
These aforementioned sales are and still will be happening, but after a mostly negative response from players, Broadsword has reversed course, and will be offering a proper holiday sale for 2023 that actually has what players expected and more!
Included in this course reversal, there will be a 50% Collections Unlock Sale from December 20th, 2023 to January 9th, 2024, and the rest of the Life Day CM items will be available from December 12th to December 20th, covering the same duration as the daily specials on Life Day items.
There is no sale this season on server transfers. I imagine this has to do with the fact that you currently cannot transfer characters to the new APAC server, Shae Vizla.
Life Day Items
Select Life Day-themed items will be available for sale for a single day. The rest of the Life Day Items are accessible through additional pages on the Popular tab at full price.
Life Day Daily Specials
Each day, a specific Life Day item will be available for sale from December 13th to December 20th. You can see the date that each of these specific items will be available in the caption and should appear in chronological order.
All Other Life Day Items
The rest of the Life Day items are available for purchase from December 12th to December 20th through the additional pages on the Popular Tab.
I wouldn’t bet on all of these items being available for sale next year. They weren’t planned to be for sale this year and it’s rare for them all to be available at once.
These items are almost entirely different from what you can obtain from the Life Day Event, which does not cost any money and lasts from December 12th to January 9th.
12th Anniversary Specials
These popular items are meant to commemorate SWTOR’s 12th Anniversary and will all be on sale from December 20th, 2023 to January 4th, 2024.
Daily Specials
Each of these popular items will only be put on sale for a single day from December 21st, 2023, to January 4th, 2024. The specified sale date of each item is listed in its caption and should appear in chronological order.
There were a bunch of dates to keep track of in this article. The big ones to remember are December 20th, 2023, which is the cutoff for the Life Day CM Items and transition to popular items, and January 4th, 2024, which is when most sales stop. Saw a few questions about what sales/events are happening this month and during the holiday break. We are rolling out a different sales format this year, so I’m going to be breaking them down below for clarity and so you all know what to expect in the coming weeks.
Events
- Life Day starts today and will run until January 9th!
- Double XP event will run from December 24 to January 4, 2024
Sales
A 50% Collection Unlock sale will run from December 20 to January 9, 2024.
The Coruscant and Kaas City Strongholds are discounted to 12 credits (down from 5000) until the next game update
Players can expect to see special 30-50% off discounts on anniversary and daily sales on some of the most popular items on the Cartel Market.
