Broadsword gave complete details about the 2024 May the Fourth celebration with their 7.5 Livestream. Here’s what’s happening in SWTOR.
Star Wars has made a little holiday for itself that’s celebrated on the 4th of May each year. It’s a play on the words “May the Fourth be with you”. SWTOR always participates, usually with a pet, often with other things.
BX-24 Probe Droid
The main entree for May the Fourth 2024 is a colorful little cube droid named BX-24. This year, its appearance was inspired by Star Wars: The Phantom MenaceTM (AKA Darth Maul).
In order to receive the droid, you must log into the game within a small period of time surrounding May 4th of the current year, between May 1st-16th.
It’s worth noting that pets actually stay out after you go through a loading screen now, so they’re not as annoying to use anymore.
Double XP
Double XP will be active for the next two-ish weeks, from May 1st to May 16th. Strangely, there is no double Valor active for PvP, though the XP boost still works there.
Collections Unlock and Cartel Market Sales
Over the same May 1st to May 16th period, there will be a 50% off Collections Unlock sale and numerous sales for Cartel Market items, including 25-75% off items inspired by The Mandalorian and 90% off various items. The Ultimate Cartel Platinum Pack is also back, but not discounted.
There are a bunch of items that have pretty significant discounts, but I wanted to highlight the items that are actually 90% off:
- Black-Red Striated Crystal
- Green Core Crystal
- Daimyo Decoration Bundle
- Zakuul Personal Dropship Mount
- Naboo G-Type Speeder
- Droid Companion D-R3D
- Defiant Vented Dualsaber
- Revan Holostatue (only 85% off, but it’s the repair item)
The Pocket Sarlacc and Darth Malgus Holostatue are also 90% off, but you should not buy them. You can purchase both from the Underworld Exchange vendors at the Cartel Bazaar on the fleet in exchange for a tiny amount of credits + Cartel Market Certificates.
