SWTOR Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers” started with the release of Update 7.6.1. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about it!

What is the Galactic Season System
The Galactic Seasons is a level-based seasonal in-game system in SWTOR. You can actively earn unique and exclusive rewards by completing specific Daily and Weekly Conquest Objectives called Priority Objectives. If you are a Subscriber, you will earn bonus rewards.
The entire Galactic Seasons system is Legacy-wide. This includes the levels you progress through and rewards you earn. The items you earn will be added to your collections, which is a great way to spread them to the other characters in your Legacy.
Both Subscribers and Free-to-play players have access to the Galactic Seasons system in SWTOR. To see your progress, open up the Daily Login Rewards window and navigate to the second tab at the top.

Galactic Season 8 Highlights
This segment will showcase the most interesting items that you can earn if you participate in GS8. Below the Highlights section, you will find a more detailed overview of what item is available where and how you can get it.
Uprising Chaos
Kai Zykken has teamed up with Czerka to sell you their Experimental Combat Enhancers for use in Uprisings, which cause 1 of 3 random effects that apply to you and the enemies inside until you leave the Uprising.
Czerka Experimental Combat Enhancer Buffs
Czerka Experimental Combat Enhancer Buffs- Destruction Overload – Every 5th enemy that is defeated will explode causing a damaging AOE effect
- Czerka Combat Drones – Drones will assist you in taking your enemies down
- Unstable Radiation Field – A devastating point blank AOE
Completing Uprisings with these Combat Enhancers are at the center of Galactic Season 8.
GS8 Hairstyles
For the first time ever, new hairstyles will be available from somewhere other than the Cartel Market. There are 2 hairstyles associated with Galactic Season 8, inspired by Mon Mothma and her husband, Perrin Fertha’s, Chandrillan ‘dos.
Mon Mothma’s Regal Senator Hairstyle is the big “do everything” achievement for GS8 while Perrin Fertha’s Senator’s Consort Hairstyle is the level 100 reward on the subscriber track.
GS8 Mounts
There is a new creature mount with 4 colorways and a new vehicle mount with 2 colorways.
GS8 Creature Mounts
This season’s creature mounts are Dromund Kaas and Coruscant-themed Typhloractyls. The Advanced | Arcane version features more and longer feathers along with additional fabric bands.
The prefix “typhlo-” means blind, and in this case, it seems they’re Varactyls that have been blinded by the most severe case of plaque psoriasis I’ve ever seen. I wonder if they’ll leave a trail of “snowflakes” when they run like some of the Life Day mounts do…
You receive the basic versions from the GS8 Subscriber Reward Track at levels 1 and 50, respectively. You can purchase the Advanced/Arcane versions from Ki’at Thavo for 3 GS Tokens each.
GS8 Speeders
There are two vehicle mounts inspired by Mon Mothma’s Ultragloss Hoversedan from Andor with paint jobs based on Coruscant and Dromund Kaas.
Both give you 110% movement speed at Speeder Piloting Rank I. Neither mentions having Mount Flourish or Dynamic Mount Colors.
GS8 Armor Sets and Personnel Decos
There are 2 full armor sets, the Coruscanti and Kaas City Traveler Sets. Unlike past Seasons, one outfit isn’t strictly better than the other. These sets are worn by their Personnel decos as shown below.
Coruscanti Traveler’s Armor Set
You can obtain all the pieces from the Coruscanti Traveler’s Armor Set from the GS8 Subscriber Rewards Track from lvls 10-40.
Kaas City Traveler’s Armor Set
You can obtain all of the pieces from the Kaas City Traveler’s Armor Set on the GS8 Subscriber Reward Track from lvls 65-95.
GS8 Armors Dyed
Pictured here are both armor sets with a high-contrast dye from the CM so that you can see which parts are dyed with the primary (Light Blue) and secondary (Deep Green) colors and which parts don’t dye at all.
GS8 Dyes
There are 2 pairs dyes available on the subscriber track, the Matte Gray and Metallic Copper or Metallic Blue dyes. You get 1 copy of each.
These dyes are also purchasable from Ki’at Thavo, the GS Seasonal Rewards vendor on the fleet for 3 GS Tokens. This is the first time that Enhanced dyes are available in-game from a vendor!
Matte Gray/Metallic Blue
Matte Gray/Metallic Blue as seen on the Hidden Chain Armor Set, available at levels 86 and 99 on the subscriber track.
Matte Gray/Metallic Copper
Matte Gray/Metallic Copper as seen on the Armor Set of the Electric Gaze, available at levels 84 and 92 on the subscriber track.

GS8 Individual Armor Pieces
There are 2 additional helmets available on the Subscriber Reward Track, one of which was clearly inspired by Hondo Ohnaka as he appeared in Star Wars Rebels, while the other was inspired by Jod AKA Captain Silvo from Skeleton Crew.
In addition, there is a pair of Thigh High Boots that seem to be Satele Shan’s boots without the armor, available at level 29 on the subscriber track.
Sadly, the gold fringe on the top of the boots does not dye.
GS8 Weapons
There are 2 sets of weapons with practically identical models. The named set adds green lights, yellow paint stripes, and more ornate barrels to the blasters and gold plating to the sabers
All weapons in both sets use a default yellow color crystal that governs the lights and beam, though no crystal is included in the weapon.
The Experimental s weapons are available on the Free Rewards Track from lvls 20-50, while the named set is available on the Subscriber Rewards Track from lvls 55-91.
GS8 Stronghold Decorations
There are 6 decos available in GS8, all of which are part of the Subscriber Rewards Track; 3 each are museum pieces from Dromund Kaas and Coruscant.
GS8 New Titles and Stronghold Labels
There are a bunch of new titles available. Since they stopped doing pointless Reputation tracks for each season, there’s a more systematic approach to distributing Titles and SH Labels. You buy Character Titles from Ki’at Thavo for 3 GS Tokens each, and then get 1 Legacy Title and SH Label in both the free and sub tracks.

There are 2 practically identical probe droid minipets called C0-RU and D-R0M, available at levels 83 and 94, respectively.

Below is the entire rewards track for GS8. All items that can be unlocked in your Collections cost 80 Cartel Coins each. Decos, dyes, and bubbles cannot be unlocked in Collections. It’s also worth noting that a lot more of the good stuff is weighted towards the end of the season this time around.

Galactic Season 8 Fleet Vendor Contents
Jaleit Nall, the Classic and Non-Seasonal Rewards vendor, offers items that were previously time-limited and available to only Subscribers. Ki’at Thavo, the Seasonal Rewards vendor, has an updated inventory with some of the rewards from the Galactic Season 8 track.

There are several benefits to selling this selection of items from the GS track in exchange for Galactic Seasons Tokens:
- It allows F2P players to obtain some items from the subscriber-only track
- Offers a way for everybody to procure additional copies of the decos for insane prices (you only get 5 from the track)
