Keith Kanneg, SWTOR’s Executive Producer, released his Q1 2025 Executive Producer Letter. This one advertised GS8, some of the new and upcoming cosmetic rewards, Star Wars Celebration, and a couple tidbits about 7.7.
Why Producer Letters Matter
While these Producer Letters may seem pointless to you, as they primarily contain old news, they’re significantly more valuable for people who aren’t playing the game right now and might be looking to return.
They stand out because the information is provided by the person in charge of everyone else and presented in a way that’s a lot more digestible to potential players who aren’t familiar with the current state of the game.
Over time, these producer letters build up as a public record, one that is a lot easier to read than the patch notes if you’re trying to get a sense of the history of the game or what content was released while an individual was confirmed to be working on SWTOR.
Cosmetics Ads
The vast majority of Keith’s producer letter focused on cosmetics. He highlighted Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers”, which includes the Senator’s Consort (and Regal Senator’s) hairstyles and mounts inspired by Mon Mothma’s car.
Keith also noted that the Coruscant and Dromund Kaas Utility Deco Bundles are available for sale, though they don’t appear on the capital worlds or Fleets themselves.
Genuinely, these decos are fantastic. In particular, you can get a ton of mileage out of using the Mailbox and Appearance Customization terminals as general-purpose decos.
Keith also reminded everyone that there’s still a week left to get the AC-5 Disruptor mount as a Twitch Drop.
Next up on the advertisement train, we have a Login and Subscriber Reward, both related to Star Wars Celebration 2025, which takes place in Tokyo, Japan.
SWTOR will not have a Cantina event, but “Ashley, Jackie, and Joe” will be representing SWTOR and there will be a featurette during the main Star Wars Celebration stream.
The mount, Naboo C-Type Speeder, will be given to players who have an active subscription between April 17th and May 23rd 2025 and the Jubilee Hover Pod minipet will be available to anyone who logs in between April 17th and 30th, 2025.
The final cosmetic, another mount, is part of the next Master the Fight bundle, coming at the end of April. The mount is called the Storm I and has a minipet sidecar, mount flourish, and built-in Enhanced Speed Boosters.
7.7 PTS
There have been character/face modernizations available on the PTS that will be coming down soon, with more to come in the future.
In addition, Master Mode Propagator Core XR-53 will be going up on the PTS in the near future, probably sometime next week. If you haven’t done Story or Veteran yet, our Propagator Core XR-53 guide will help you achieve that.
They plan to do a livestream for 7.7 “Master’s Enigma” in May, which will go over what’s coming in the next major update alongside Propagator Core. Keith teased that there will be more Dynamic Encounters and character customization options. There will also be a login reward for May the 4th, likely another floating cube droid.
He ended the producer letter with a non-answer about upcoming story content. He didn’t offer a reason regarding the delay, but it’s pretty clear that it has to do with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA Voice Actors’ Strike.
